This is why i don't own a Sawgrass printer. The ink is too costly. I bought an Epson ET2720 and converted it to a sublimation printer. Worked great for a few months. I had a worenty but when i converted it the worenty was void. One day I turned it on and no power. I;ve serched the internet many times and can't get a new mother board. the power supply is good. Do you have any idea how I can get it fixed? thank you for the video.

Did you have the Epson for sublimation, my 2720 gets lines in the black but mostly good for what I use it for, the ink is sawgrass expense. Did you review the Epson?

I have done a few videos on the Epson 2720. This one may help with the lines you are getting: ua-cam.com/video/0Fmpfl43lrs/v-deo.html
I've used a 2720 for quite a while for sublimation printing on 8.5 x 10 and 8.5 x 14 paper. If you search my channel for "Epson", you will find several videos.

I HATE my sawgrass sg1000. I've had mine for 2 years now and I have never been more disappointed in a product as expensive as this printer. I went ahead and purchased the more expensive printer to avoid the whole "you get what you pay for" thing. I use mine most days, sometimes I may go several days without using it, but even when I have used it the day before, the next morning when I go to print, I have to print around 3 to 6 copies before the ink starts printing on the paper correctly. Yes, I leave my printer on at all times. The ink is ridiculously high, so it is beyond frustrating when I have to waste that much ink, not to mention the paper, every single day. Now.... let me rant about the bypass tray! Most times, it takes me 7 or 8 tries before I can even get the paper to feed and each time that it doesn't feed, you have to do a "form feed" and instead of trying to print again, an error message comes up and says can't reprint, memory insufficient. I have no clue what that means! A huge amount of time wasted. It has been this way since day 2. I print A LOT on 13x19, so you can imagine my frustration. There's not a lot of videos out there, not that I have found anyway, on trouble shooting. That's how I found your video tonight, searching for why it is now grabbing multiple pages at a time, when printing on 13x19. I seriously say a prayer every single time I use this printer, that it will work. :(

Bypass tray feed issue. Yup, been there as I also do a lot of 11 x 17 and 13 x 19. There is a sensor in the feed path that seems to be super sensitive and my solution was to use a piece of cardstock to match the paper size behind the paper in the bypass tray. No issues after that. Just make sure you don't run out of paper and try to feed the cardstock! Guess how I know that.......

Thank you, I've been pondering a Sawgrass. This helped. I got a hpn mugpress and i had the same thing happen with the element it puffed up and blew apart. I've only done about 20 mugs so i don't understand maybe I'm putting too much pressure on the element. I know this isn't about mug presses you did mention hpn. Can i use an element from a different manufacturer. Thank you sir i try to catch all your videos

I also have a HPN mug and tumbler press and have had no problems with it. However, for mugs, I use an automatic Vevor press since I usually run mugs in batches of 36-72 at a time. I've only used the hPN press for mugs a couple of times and that was for latte mugs since my Vevor will not do those.

thats why i bought the f570

I did consider it, but since I also work on a lot of Epson Eco tank printers, and know the short comings, I opted for the Sawgrass since it is not used constantly and I wanted the self maintenance mode that Sawgrass has.

@@rogersshop I just print something once a week, i even went a couple weeks without printing and it was fine. I had the sg400 and i loved it. I just needed bigger print area, so when it took a shit i opted for the f570.

Where did you purchase your sawgrass?

Have you tried siser ink. I see they have ink for the sawgrass printer. It not that i cant afford the ink i just like a different option. I’m not crazy using the siser easy sub in my sawgrass way too much saturation and even tho I’m careful not to touch the image running it thru my silhouette got ink everywhere. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you

I have not tried the Siser brand ink. I hesitate to change since I have no problems (other than cost) with the Sawgrass ink. Siser ink is about the same price.

@@rogersshop according to sawgrass, you cannot change the ink type. Whichever ink you start out with, that is what you are stuck with. just another thing I hate about this printer.

@@Mony2489 There is "a way", but it requires using a LOT of ink to purge the system of what ever the first ink was. I took this into careful consideration when I decided which ink I was going to use. Still think the inks are WAY over priced!

I use the Epson work force WF-7840
    for my subs.
Cheap ink. I use the refill bottles.
swapped the micro chips on the inks.
and Goes all the way to 13x19.
    Very fast prints too.
    I love it.

The Sawgrass SG1000 is trash, lasted 5 days, and yellow ink had constant banding and even though under warranty Sawgrass refused to deal with it and blocked me. on day 6 the machine started smoking and burst into flames....Luckily I was in my workshop to deal with it. Complained to the UK (so-called) care team and got called a c**t..absolutely shocking...run as far away as you can from the cheap noisy money pit and buy an Epson SC-F500...An amazing machine that's not a fire hazard
