    Can you talk about land around Anchorage? Planning to get a few hundred acres within the next 2 years and would love something not terribly far from Anchorage so I can keep goin back and forth from LA easily.

    Hi Jamin, speaking of earthquakes, did you feel the one shortly before 3:30 am this morning? I was wide awake when it happened too! I live in Eagle River and it shook pretty good here - enough to open the top drawer of my nightstand. My son told me it shook his tv so loud that it woke him up....lol.
    Where can I go for berry picking and when? I definitely would love to do that! I just moved here in August this year and jumped right into work at my new job so I am still trying to find out all there is to do in Alaska when I have time.

      Good to hear from you, Shannon. Indeed I did feel it! I believe there were 3 big shakes but I only woke up for two. The best place for berry picking is south fork. You have to hike a few miles, but the payoff is worth it.

    How about covering some of the Basher neighborhood area?

      Not a bad idea. Are you thinking of a market update or just talking about it in general?

      @@alaska_realtor Area in general. Internet options, trash service, does the city plow, reasons why it is a good/bad option for someone to purchase there, etc.

    Realtors in Anchorage are sketchy. Not all of them, but a significant portion of them. Like, half of them. Anchorage is a small town with a realty community to match. This is something that needs addressing in a video (I dare you). We lived in Bear Valley and loved it, but a big reason why we loved it is because we had the means to circumnavigate the Anchorage realtor system.

    You previously mentioned living in TX for a few years, where the cloudy days are all day with no sun light coming through. Is this the case in anchorage also on cloudy days? Thank you for your feedback

    • @alaska_realtor
      @alaska_realtor  3 роки тому +3

      We get a few cloudy days here and there, but no more as regular as, say, Seattle. Does that help?

    • @wretchedfamily
      @wretchedfamily 3 роки тому

      @@alaska_realtor Thanks, I mostly just wondered if the sun generally peeks through on cloudy days (like it does in CO) or if it is more like TX and the Midwest where it is cloudy with lots of thick layers of clouds and the sun never cuts through them.
      I have looked at a few general to Alaska charts on this but I’m not seeing anything specific to Anchorage. Maybe your local weather man can give some fun statistical charts on the topic.
      It’s up to you and I mean no disrespect I just like to brain storm and learn everything.

      An ugly reality. Mostly one big strip mall full of folks on the edge of society and middle-class blue and white-collar people looking to save a dime to support a lifestyle of a nice large home in a crappy area.

      A one bedroom apartment full, a dog, a cat. We have two cars and have done research in the travel options and think that driving would be best because of our cat. So we were thinking of driving up and shipping on car and a container of our apartment

      @@michaelacox7009 that may very well be your best option. The last folks I just had drive through Canada said that they waited at the border for 4 hours but it was fairly easy as long as you follow all of their directions.
