This is a portrait of an Indian Women with Acrylic. I have tried to paint it with Realistic style with acrylic colors and water as the only medium. I am using only water mist to keep my paint moist in my palette. No retarder or any kind of medium is used in the entire process.
Started with a base coat for the face with Scarlet lake, Cadmium Yellow Medium and White. Then I have shifted the colors to desired saturation and values for other parts of the face. Most of the blending is done with dry brush technique with minimal water on the palette.

Sir I don't know you personally but through your art I'm overwhelmed. For last 2 years I'm going through severe depression but your painting give me some kind of inner satisfaction and comfort.
When I was in teen I loved to paint but with time and conditions I quit doing so. Once again your painting gave me nudge to hold brush and colors. Yesterday i lost my painting competition ( judges failed to judge my painting.. everyone who looked at paintings said mine will get 2nd place.. but judges didn't took it in top 5 ) i took my painting and came..i was so depressed last night.. i want to create smthg like this now..

Acrylic paintings like watercolor usually get the left behind the treatment. However, I and others are well aware once an acrylic painting is done skillfully, it is excellent as any oil painting which the vast majority of people think is the best art medium to use. Your attention to detail is for me a marvelous feat. I shall be following your artwork's history and all that is to come in the future.
You are right. I was an oil painter till 2008. But I am now very happy to paint with acrylic. It's a very versatile medium and you can paint almost anything with it. Thank you so much for your appreciation and support 🙏😊
