shinhan, zinc white / shinhan zinc white
Red can be replaced with cadmium red and permanent red
Yellow is permanent yellow,
Blue can be replaced with Cerulean Blue and Ultramarine Dip.

i’ve never understood how to paint faces, like all the different skin tones and undertones and all that and highlights/shadows, i’ve never understood because i’ve only drawn with a pencil nearly my whole life and i don’t colour. but this video helped tremendously because i’ve wanted to start paining for 2020. tysm! ❤️

altfaith there’s this one UA-cam called Alpay Efe and I live him because in one of his videos called how to paint skin he goes over how if you don’t see them as skin tones, then it would be easier (this is very roughly simplified but I seriously recommend his videos he has a lot of great advice)
When i first started oil painting, i only had 5 colors, cadmium red, cadmium yellow, ultramarine blue, titanium white and ivory black. I did all kinds of paintings with those colors. This video is great!
I also find that adding just a few more colors will make it possible to mix almost any color. I can't remember all of the names of the other colors, but having a good hue range of red, yellow, and blue is the trick.

Perhaps your art teacher already taught you, but you just forgot. That's one of the most basic art lesson.
I had to look at books when I was 5 years old to understand color theory and all because all my art teacher did was scold us that we are coloring in the hair wrong if we do the base color in from side to side or tell us how to do something for 25 minutes and expected us dumbass 5 YEAR OLDS to finish or almost finish in 5 minutes trying to get us to do "realism". She barely taught us anatomy and all so I had to do that at 5 but then act like a dumbass in all my other classes except English and history.
Thank god my senior year I'm actually learning shit from an actual art teacher because the last two I had were shitty as far as teaching art goes and one was just a bitch. '-'

research colour theory and harmony, there are a lot of fantastic resources out there to help you understand the colour wheel and how colour affects each other from basic to advanced. Just have to look around and spend some time learning :) you can do it!
@@letssuitcase aw! If you have an interest in abstract art such s thos of Picasso and stuff. I think you can become a great artist in that way because of this effect that you have the colors will be different and eye-catching. Make every effect you have,become a thing to be happy about hehe
Practice
In my are class, I picked a color sample (for paints that u buy at the store) and recreated the color with only the primary colors and white. I did it over and over for hours, then you can really get a grasp on it.
Oof I know what colors I have to mix, but I always get the proportions wrong so I get a weird color. I once tried to make an orange and somehow got a pink😂

I've never painted anything tangible before in my life (not even with student paint really). I've all the sudden taken up a student project to mimic the style of Peter Paul Rubens using oil on canvas. Project is due by the end of the semester. Your tutorial helps so much ❤!!

I am a watercolorist but thought I'd take a break today and look at some oil artists. Just wow! So beautiful, and like all of the good ones, you made it look easy!
I have never been able to properly paint, or really color the faces that I draw! For me, shading with pencil is and always was easier. However, I decided a while ago that I wanted to add more color to my drawings. Most videos... I just cannot understand. Some people, they can do art.. but they cannot teach it that well. I really struggled with finding skin tones as well! The closest thing to skin color I had was flesh tint, and it wasn’t that great.
After this video however, not only do I know how to make skin colors with paint, but also how to paint a face properly! Thank you, so so so much! 💕

I don’t usually watch other people’s methods but this was definitely informative. I do the three color technique myself (sometimes I’ll use magenta and cyan instead to get some more vibrant colors) because why buy a bunch of colors if you can get them all out of just three. I haven’t really mixed my colors like this because I’m usually acrylic or watercolor based. This was a very smart way to plan it. I’m definitely going to keep this in mind whenever I get into oils again.

@@rizwaniqbal3347 i think it depends on the tone you want to make but it could be best wait until you have white paint because in my experience, both yellow and white equally help make a realistic skin tone !!

I love this video! I justs finished the face part of the painting, and I'm getting a better idea of undertones, highlights, shadows, and skin tone! Before when I mixed paints the skin tone would look to yellow or green, but now i understand more to it! Really good painting! :)

This is beautiful! I just found your channel which combines my love of art videos and I can listen to your Korean to help me learn more through listening! I am trying so hard to learn to speak, read and write in Korean for our trip next year or the following to Korea for a 1200k bike ride!! But have a long way to go to learn the language because I just keep using my known phases and words!! only to reading children's books and sounding out words! Plus your art is stunning! I have been doing some similar faces in watercolor. I mix all my skin tones as well it is just easier! I have very little experience with oils.
