Ricardo Calvillo Im loving mine so far. I do like how the filter doesn't get as dirty as much. I don't have any exhaust tip on my jeep. Its a Full Borla Exhaust
I'm trying to look into a cat back exhaust for my 2005 5.7 Grand Cherokee, and I'm looking for a nice rumble since the factory is awful quiet. Would you suggest a Borla cat back as a good choice?
Thank you Peter :) I have my jeep at stock tune when the volant went in. Compared to the old K&N Intake I had. I get as same mileage as I did with the k&n, 12-14 in city and 15-18 on highway. I do feel the Volant has more power compared to the k&n. The k&n got dirty easily. I like how it is an enclosed box. It sucks up cleaner air into the jeep and less of a hassle to clean. With the Volant being enclosed, it feels like it can prolong its life compared to k&n. In looks, sounds, and performs better imo and I have yet to try performance tune to really unleash the beast lol at 5:06 ? haha looks like old dust bunnies from the k&n intake
Hi, I have enjoyed watching your Jeep videos . I noticed in your description that you have removed your sway bars and was wondering how that feels on the street. Thanks.
Thank you Jamie ") The jeep drives great with no sway bars. Don't turn a corner too hot, you'll definitely feel the body roll. I like it though. On the highway its not so bad, but when its windy the jeep wants to wander with the wind. The jeep holds up pretty good with that independent front suspension
Hi Elaine glad you are making video again saw your track bar I also installed one cause my after the ome lift my driver side tire was sticking out about a half in. more than the pass. side I couldn't have that. just watch this vid. and notice your throttle body had black sutt behind the throttle plate. I check out jeepforum.com to do a full tune up on my 5.7 you should check out cleaning the throttle body and adding a catch can I got better mpg and it run s better just some info for you since you had a lot of info for me on the ome lift. Still enjoy your vids on the 05 ALOHA CUZ
Hey thank you CUZ IJEEP :) Yeah I cleaned the throttle body and messed something up. I think I need new sensors lol Just last week, Reed and I finished a waterpump replacement and the jeep now runs! I'd Love a catch can in purple haha I need drive shafts first! You can hear it while driving city and worst in highway. I can't tell if its the rear of front drive shaft though. Thank you
Nice video. Did you ever find a proper adapter to vent air from outside the engine compartment into the box? Some models seem to have them and some dont.
Hi, i just started subscribing to your channel. Im in the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee right now. I like the body style of yours with the 5.7 V8. Is there anything i should look for when test driving? And how are they for reliability? Dont know much about jeeps or hemis. Thanks and keep up the good work on the channel!
can I get a link to the intake wrap you used? seems like these come in silver and gold for different applications, why did you choose the one you did? thanks!
hey I just bought this same kit for my srt8. was the little hump hose that couples the throttle body and air duct hard to get on? mine to me is absolutely too small to get around my duct or throttle body
Yeah the hoses that came with are a little shorter than the length is needed. The hose by the coolant I went to a local parts store and bought a longer one. The hose that connects to my throttle body, that one I got lucky. I ended up using the old k&n hose which had enough slack
***** IMO I like the volant intake upgrade better from the K&N intake I had. It is enclosed, performance is better, maintenance is less of a hassle. Its hard to decide when you have several options to choose from! Lol
@ElectricElaine how much of a difference did the Volant make? Speed, power? And I take it it made your exhaust sound deeper? I'm planning on swapping out the DynoMax exhaust with an MBRP Catback exhaust. I want my 5.7L V8 to roar lol
I have a same care such urs, and even the same color :D, but i got problem on it transmission always get over temp. Its moving roughly when i ride it under 100 km , and when i ride it over 100 km its give me transmission over temp. And give me high noise with shaking the body and even gas pedal been shake , you feel like there is bottleneck in the engine.. tell me what i can do i really love this car but now i don't know what to do :'(
Elaine Chu hi , i figure out that i have a problem with my car computer, i want to change it with new one any suggestion in that and how i can minimize the expenses ??
I just bought this kit for my 2007 Commander with Hemi. Did you have to modify anything on the Volant box and what did you do with the airflow vent located on the front
Personally, I think the Volant is a great upgrade from the K&N. I am loving the enclosed Intake. At first, I didn't like the enclosed box, but I later learn to appreciate the enclosed box. The filter may be covered by appearance( IMO It gives a cleaner look), but It is also to protect it from all the exposed air. The K&N had no protection whats so ever. A filter cover may have worked, but it is still exposed. The K&N, I liked it, but the filter got dirty a lot and had to clean it alot, which I got too lazy to do lol. Yes, It does fit into my 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L. This intake is advertised to fit a 06-10 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 wk 6.1l, but does fit into the 05 Jeep grand cherokee 5.7l with little or close to no modification done
+jasonneal The Volant is has more kick into it than the K&N intake. Idk, the k&n i had before was rated 15.3 hp gain. Once the volant was installed, it has more pep to the pedal and it growls. Its more deeper sounding with the enclosed box
did you flash your ECM with a programer? and yea i like how the volant is in the enclosed box like the factory is, instead of getting the hot air from the engine. that may be the reason you get a better throttle response
Yeah lol the biggest restriction on the jeep 5.7 are the exhaust manifolds. Not much to be gained until those are upgraded. and unfortunately you have to get better headers custom made.

GJ, love the intake, may get one my self!

The Volant system is miles ahead of the generic K&N stuff.
love how she says volant ....then he wrapped tube thinking it does something for heat price less ...😂
Great looking air box have you noticed and change in power or tank mileage?
Just wondered what flew off your engine when you revved her up!?

That's bad azz congrats
Any tuning or issues after installing the 6.1 volant to the 5.7? Like the idea of the closed box. Keeps the hot engine air out.
Can you make a video on how you installed your fog lights? PLEASE!!!
Andrew King ok
what size breather hose are you running?? I recently busted mine & my check engine light came on, nice video👍🏻
Please advice, thank you

Oh OK thanks
Silver tape is ridiculous man.. should have just used that cleaning kit on the K&N.. that install looks Sanford and Sons
It was. I didn't know what I was thinking back then haha That jeep was my first vehicle
Hi Elaine Chu what is the diameter of the coupler intake the one it goes to the throtle body?? I´m confuse is 3.5" or 4"
Which One is better?…for Engine Noise, and MPG, and HP/Torque? I was thinking to install an intake on my jeep but its hard to decide!
***** IMO I like the volant intake upgrade better from the K&N intake I had. It is enclosed, performance is better, maintenance is less of a hassle. Its hard to decide when you have several options to choose from! Lol
Did you give the aFe Power Mach Force Stage CAI any thoughts? I'm torn between that and the Volant CAI
I didn't try the afe cai. I went with the Volant CAI and it was throaty

@ElaineChu HI, Great video. I have a question Would this fit my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 Hemi 4x4??
Thank you! This air filter doers fit for your 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L hemi v8 4x4
@@ElectricElaine Sweet look forward to installing this Thank you!
You not making videos anymore.?

hmmmm...Im not sure. I"ve haven't gotten the transmission over temp before. I would take it to a shop
ok what part do you think exactly would be the damaged one ??
bashar assadi I am not sure basher. I recommend a shop look at it
Elaine Chu hi , i figure out that i have a problem with my car computer, i want to change it with new one any suggestion in that and how i can minimize the expenses ??

How was it on your commander
The sensor that you are removing at 1:40. Is that the mass air flow sensor...or is it intake air temperature sensor?
That's the temp sensor
Is this one better than the k&n? I have been debating about which one to get for weeks. Haven't decided yet. Does it fits right?

Damn I married the wrong woman...
oof
how much more HP did you pick up?
