thanks so much man!!! and thanks for helping us grow bro, every little bit help
I was so bad someone actually bought me a shuffling machine. I was embarrassed so I watched a few videos and put a deck on my work and every time I sat down I practiced shuffling five times. Maybe a month later I can actually shuffle a deck without that damned machine. I'm not awesome but now I can shuffle in the air. Just saw this video of yours and you're a great teacher and I'm going to make work as my next project. The Scotch tape idea is brilliant. I play rummy with my friends three or four times a week and I'm going to surprise them with this when I finally get it right without saying a word. Thanks in advance looking forward to more.
Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised at how fast I'm picking this up, thanks friend, you just earned yourself a subscriber. 👍🏻
Advice to those with tiny hands:
I'm a 26 y/o female with unusually small hands. Literally every female cardists I've seen even have bigger hands than I do but dude is right, strength is an important factor but more importantly (in my opinion) I've also found that the best thing you can do whenever you have pathetically tiny baby hands is to stretch your fingers. Having more flexibility increases the space between the webbing of your fingers & it can expand how far you can reach you fingers independently to grip the cards, this has helped me the most & its make a huge difference than when I first started. You can do this by putting your hands together like you're going to pray (not clasped but mirror them instead) & you want to individually use one finger at a time starting with your pointer finger to push the other pointer finger back hold for 5-10 seconds then then switch & push the opposite pointer finger back the other direction the same way, then repeat moving on to the middle fingers & so on. Next you'll stretch you webbing to increase the space between the fingers it's pretty much self-explanatory but I like using my thumb & pinky to pull the fingers apart on the opposite hand but don't get a ahead of yourself, you don't want to to pull a ligament & injure yourself. Definitely go slow & if you stretch them every day you'll have noticable results after a 2 weeks maybe even sooner.
Another bonus tip: it helps to train your pinky to move independently. It's really hard & takes some patience since your nerves & ligaments for curling your pinky are so weak that you depend on the ring finger to move in tandem with your pinky & essentially it's never moved before but I can't explain the exercises here it too long but I can put a link below of the video I used if anyone needs it. The video itself is by a pro pen spinner but you don't have to spin pens, you dont need anything, the exercises are relativel simple & even though the dude teaching it is a pen spinner most of the people in the comments are guitar players or otherwise so it can literally be applied to any skills require increased dexterity & individual movement of each finger.
EDIT
Here's the link to the video with the exercises I was I talking about: ua-cam.com/video/C7xgRWlgY_w/v-deo.html
Or you can do some dexterity excersise
Our of every tutorial out there, I've had the most success with yours. The way you part the cards in step 1 was the easiest method I've tried and the explanation of how to merge the 2 halves (pressure at the top so the bottom could open up and merge) was a gamechanger.
Yesterday i started to practise this move. Today i'm capable to do the move slowly... Really thought it would take me more time. Now i keep practising on speed and perfection.
Thank you very much for this tutorial.
that's awesome man! no problem, I hope you consider subscribing
@@chandler_henry done! I was afraid my hand was too stiff to push the subscribe button... You know, from all the card exercices i forced upon myself today, but i was still capable pushing that button 😂
Then in a year you have perfected it
Still helpful seven years later! Picking this up for a gig wherein I'm playing a card shark. Subscribed. Thanks.
YES!!! Thank you so much for this video! One of the reasons I got into magic/cardistry is because I saw this move and have never been able to do it based on some other tutorials. Thanks for the in depth tutorial!!!
After about six months of practising every ones in a while. I am finaly getting it. Just dont give up
this is so awesome to hear!!!!
This is SUUUUCHHH a good tutorial
got this down in less than a day with the help of this vid !!
One hand separation 2:00
Faro/weave 4:10
Shuffle 6:44
Im comforting myself by saying I have wrong cards
I love you now! After 6 months of trying to figure out why I couldn't get the cards to pharaoh your video gave me the tip I needed. Pull down with the pinky and push up a little. So simple no one else bothered to say it. I get a perfect pharaoh every time now. You are the shit. Thank you.
this comment made my day man!!!! so happy you finally got it! I hope you consider subscribing!!
I always had trouble with this shuffle and stop trying to do it but once I watched your tutorial I got the first time keep it up with the great tutorials
that's so cool to hear man! glad we could help
Same here!
@dragosven here. You guys really are good at these tuts. It's those little details that always make the difference. I had never even tried this before and was able to get it in about 5 attempts. A funny side note is that due to your last video, the one handed card throw, I've switched hands from what I thought was my main hand (left) to my other one (right). Apparently I'm better as a lefty. Who knew?! I was even able to do the behind the back over the shoulder throw. I'm having to relearn my sleights now as a lefty, but it's worth it! It's kind of fun being able to do them with either hand. Good practice. Keep up the good work! As for the deck giveway, go with some David Blaine ABCs! =D
This is so cool to hear man!!! and yea, Im right handed but all my magic is done in the left hand, idk why, that's just how I learned it, so i'm glad you discovered that. But as you say, in the end, being able to do these moves with both hands is an incredible feeling!
My man. It's been 9 years of on off trying this. I kept my pinky on the bottom and I followed your instruction to move it to the side of the pack. Now I can do it sometimes. But I'm working hard on it now. Thanks
I love the way you guys lay out your videos the editing is perfect and simple to follow keep up the good work cant wait to see more vids :)
thanks so much man!!! we'll keep it going!
Hey bro it is good to see you guys do a tutorial on this move, because I think a level of dexterity is involved.
thanks man! and yea true, but once you get it down itll be worth it
Rise Magic yep, it is so true, thanks again dude the move is so beautiful.

The tip about pressure with the pinkie was a game changer, thanks so much.
I have tried to learn this shuffle from other channels, but yours is the only tutorial which successfully thought me. I can do it now and I'm so hyped about it. Thanx guys keep it up!!!

Thanks so much Oscar! Super glad it could help you man
Thanks for the tutorial. I abandoned to learn this shuffle a few time ago but I think I will learn it now.

thank you so much! :D
Great tutorial! Thank you very much! Never do this move before but... it looks awesome so i need to give it a try. After first minuites i found that thumb position is critical point for me (if it is wrong pack will fall down). Now i need to practice faro. Once again thank you! Great channel for magicians!
for sure dude! thank you so much... I bet you'll get it down in no time
Love seeing you talk about 10k subs a few years ago at the end. Nice work growing beyond then. Great videos thanks

I started Cardistry just before xmas and you guys have taught me so much alrdy. you ROCK!!!! i just wish i could do a fan now lol
Thanks so much! I've had somewhat of some knowledge on how to do this for a long time now but I could have never been able to perfect it without this tutorial! Thanks man!
so awesome to hear Jamie! Glad we could help!
I thought calling it an "I am better than you move" is a bit douchey but after 2 days of practicing I have to agree that if you master this to the point of always nailing it then yeah, you are better than everyone. practicing this actually scraped skin off my fingers and idk how common that is but if you make it through the scrapes and blisters you really earned it.
learned this in 2 days thanks to this channel
Thanks so much u resolve me some questions that i have not idea, like put the pinkie when u have to start doing faro shuffle
awesome to hear man, glad I could help
Thanks too for answer all the coments, its so succesful
No problem man!
the pinky tip is a life saver
Very good idea 👍🏻I used the same idea when I was learning the TG murphy deck flip move . But I put a rubber band around the deck instead of the tape bacause tape may ruin the cards .
thanks so much! and that is a great idea with the deck flip!
Thanks for telling me that you uploaded a video, notification skipped out on this one
you got it fam, you're the best

Very in depth tutorial... Just an idea... Wouldn't it be easier for you to start in a hot shot cut movement to get the the packets into position?
This channels going to grow soooo fast!

Mark this historical day where I have finally conquered the one-handed shuffle. Thank you so much. Still took me a semester to learn this though...... BTW, any thoughts on making a carnahan fan tutorial? I suppose it's really similar to your reverse fan, but I cant seem to get both
AYEEEEE congrats man!!!!!!!!!!! i told you it would be worth it! and maybe I'll make one once I can do one haha but I can't
Are you saying a I-can-only-do-it-sloppily "can't" or a legitimate "can't" cuz it's hard to believe what you just said. You guys' fanning skills are on point. Oh, and Thanks. Next target: Pressure & reverse fans.
I always wanted to try this and it never worked. Until now

"First things first: your hands AREN'T too small!"
Love it!! ^^ Everyones favourite excuse not to try ;-)
you know it bro! we hope you subscribed!
I still think my hands are too small
It was lot easier than i expected
My fingers are like "WTF dude? What are u trying to do??"
It was very difficult for me to perform with old deck that's why i skipped it for future..😁
I'll definitely restart practicing on this move....
glad to hear it man! hope you have success!
I'm learning with small & different hands but I know I can do it eventually!!!
hey buddy actually you r right.... all that matters is practise and ur hands size does not matter... my hands are also not the long but i practised for one day qnd am able to shuffle one handedly
GREAT BRO!!!!
thank you!!!
Awesome video, really helping me improve 👍
glad to hear it man!
Awesome! Could you make a tutorial for a card spring? I know there are millions of tutorials out there in UA-cam, but the only good one is from The Virts. And I'd like to have a tutorial from you so that I could probably improve my spring to be better 😀
Or probably give tips to make the spring better
that's a good idea, we've thought about it but there are already so many, we'll probably make one anyway soon though
Just started handling cards about a week or two ago and I am certainly going to work on this. I can get to the ferro but can’t get it on my bicycles yet.
In my virts deck I can do it though (those thin cards make me feel like I know what I’m doing haha)
He is an alien
I'll take that as a compliment
I dropped more cards in the first 5 mins of this video than I've done all week
