They're trying to make one. Unless the new one is being grossly misrepresented, I think it will be a spectacular failure by people who don't understand what this show was about to begin with.
I did grow up with them. I was literary the same age as the actors when this show premiered. I lived the Wonder Years thru them and along with them........beautiful and nostalgic memories. Hearing this song, brings back happy tears.
"Because we know that inside each one of those identical boxes, with its Dodge parked out front and its white bread on the table and its TV set glowing blue in the falling dusk, there were people with stories, there were families bound together in the pain and the struggle of love."
The narration written for this show was so eloquent & spot on. The actors were 100% perfectly cast. It was more like watching our own memories replay, rather than... just a show.
It does feel like time travel, although fleeting. I was just sitting here with my eyes closed and listening to this, thinking about middle school. Those days were so fun and easy, yet awkward and hard and scary too. If I could go back and do it again I would and not change a thing. Some times I feel like I was Kevin or maybe I was Paul and Kev was my best friend. Really it all seems like it was mixed together with nostalgia of my own childhood and other shows, but especially The Wonder Years.
So many good shows back then. The 80s had The wonder years The 90s had That 70s show The 00s had Malcom in the middle The 10s had The Gold bergs I wonder what the 20s will have I love these type of shows 😢 edit: the 20’s are that 90’s show 😢❤
so distinctive, i'm listening to it right now and i almost feel like i'm in the presence of magic happening and a plethora of different situations this would fit
That would have been a little bit too fantastic. I love that the story plays out so realistically. Disappointment is a major part of life. PS. I really like you, guy.
@@51Wargs51 But the thing is, with our lives, everything is realistic already with us living in a realistic life. And we watch shows like The Wonder Years and Dawson's Creek to escape from this life of harsh reality. We watch these shows to go into a fantasy world to escape from this life of pain and be in a world of happiness. Unfortunately when that same world of happiness starts having things from our life so that it can be realistic, then our whole happiness gets destroyed. And then, a new question comes up. If life is already realistic enough, and then shows like The Wonder Years and Dawson's Creek end up without the type of ending that we wanted - just for the show to be realistic, then what is the point of watching such shows? Because, watching such shows won't give us any escape and also it won't give us what we wished for. But instead, it will just end us up back in reality again. Whether it is real life or a TV show, there is no difference then.
The bit where Karen, tells Jack, Norma & Kevin, that segues into Kevin going for the walk and finding Winnie in the Woods? That''s a few chords and arpeggios. I think that I remember Snuffy Walden saying something about how he just improvised it. I've never seen it on any soundtrack or DVD listing, or on UA-cam, After that, when Winne & Kevin kiss in the Woods, the song is Percy Sledge, "When A Man Loves A Woman" ua-cam.com/video/6meW-K-1e7Q/v-deo.html
There will never be a show like this again

es la mejor serie del mundo mundial mi hermano!
I miss Winnie, I miss Kevin. I feel like I grew up with them. As if I lived on their street and went to their school.

@@leonardocastro757 Me too, I was Kevin's age when the show premiered. When I watch it now it seems like old family videos of my own.
Oh yeah. Makes it much more painful!
Lmao 🤣
I do too!
One of the best television shows ever created! The nostalgia is overwhelming! I miss these days, this time! So simple and so beautiful!

“Those really were the Wonder Years..”

What a beautiful song for such a broken and damaged little girl.
WINNIE WAS ALWAYS A SIGHT FOR SORE EYES. SHE WAS ONE MY 90'S CELEBRITY CRUSHES.
We will always think of Winnie Cooper with this fantastic song!
im probably not in the age group but i’ve seen re-runs and it still resonates ❤
This song has such a reposeful, pastoral vibe. It makes me think of Mary and her little lamb.
Reminds me a lot of Embryonic Journey by Jefferson Airplane
Yep, structurally similar and share the same chords. Both beautiful tunes.
so distinctive, i'm listening to it right now and i almost feel like i'm in the presence of magic happening and a plethora of different situations this would fit
I love so muchhh that serie.... mi life was like Kevin's life.... LOve it!!
Brilliant series ♥️
I just realized that this song is pretty much "embryonic Journey" by Jefferson airplane.

This song is actually lovely though.
Kevin and Winnie should have just ended up together.

You spoiled it. My life's over lol
@@timothyfogarty5829 Well, in his defense, there's a reason he gave himself that name.
Does anyone know the music/score played on the "Bryan cooper was killed" scene?
