      Yeah! I'm so happy for you. The leak was a simple fix in that my dad reached behind the cabinet and tightened a few valves. But there's a long list of other issues to address so I'm headed back to the dealer to get everything checked out. I've been told this is part of owning a new RV ;-)

      @@RadioactiveRoadTrippinRR Please address all the issues with your camper. HELP others out. I just paid 75 grand for a Norther lite 10.2, with built in generator, U-shape bath, and have a leak that ONLY shows when it's pouring but only a few drops. My problem is where is it coming from and NO ONE wants a mode issue. I will be posting this later on.

    Please let us know about specs, especially MPG. I get 13 MPG hauling my 10.2 Norther Lite, but my camper is NOT what yours is. I would love to be able to haul that camper but I'm afraid I would be over my max weight of 52 hundred pounds. Now people need room and I understand that but safety is important. Congratulations, I can feel your passion. Great looking camper and truck, love the blue color. Maybe you can help those that are interested in such a dream purchase and break down the cost, down payment, 15 year loan, etc. I’m sure it’s not an inexpensive purchase but who can put a price on beautiful memories and the dogs will love it too. We attended the Hershey, PA RV show last week touted as the largest RV show in America. We fell in love with a Northern-lite truck camper. We don’t have a pickup yet, watched your “choosing a pickup” video very helpful. Please do a video about any suspension modifications and if you truck rocks from side to side or front to back, maybe the truck you chose was just right and doesn’t need anything. All the best we subscribed and can’t wait for more.

      I did get Airlift airbags installed, but have to take it back to the dealer since they seem to lose air. Keeping my tires at 80 PSI cold and the air bags pumped to keep the same ride height on both sides seems to help with a smoother ride. I didn't do anything else so I don't know if it can get better yet. Cost depends on options - I blew a chunk of change on an extreme off grid package. Loan payment depends on credit scores and down payment (mine was $12K), but I now pay about $650 per month. Insurance costs me about $750 for a year... but will cost more when I go full-time. I don't know what maintenance will cost me yet, but I did get a service package with the camper. If you want to know the retail price of a camper, just reach out to the manufacturer to get you a spec sheet.

    Just curious - did you make mods to the truck for the weight of the Yukon? Was interested in getting one but have a similar truck and have heard varying stories on how well it hauls. • @RadioactiveRoadTrippinRR
      @RadioactiveRoadTrippinRR  3 роки тому +1

      Hi there - I modified the truck for a smoother ride. The GVWR for the truck is determined by the manufacturer and wasn't affected by the air bags, etc. The F-350 superduty with 7.3 gas engine does a good job hauling this camper. But if I had to do it all over again, I'd get a commercial Ford, perhaps a 550 or higher. The options I added to the camper (solar and lithum batteries) made it 4745 lbs dry. This cut into the amount of stuff I can take... and my comfort level. But I'll try it for a year and see what it's like.
