Please check to be sure there's no leaks and add new caulking on all outside seams as maintenance project from the start. Easier to do preventive maintenance then tearing the siding off and replacing rotting wood. So happy for you after the disaster with that first truck and dishonest person. Now you have your truck camper at last.
So glad I came across your video!!! I subscribed and am looking forward to checking out all your videos. You ladies seem to have the right attitude and affection towards one another, I look forward to seeing many more videos!!!

Congratulations! So happy for you both to finally have a truck camper. I felt the sadness and was sad myself when plans fell through before. This is awesome. We’re doing the same thing and following along while travelling down the Oregon coast!
Oh my gootness☺️ I love you 3❣️ What a wonderful channel guys! I have a Chevy Silverado too and I love mine💚 Looking forward to your upcoming adventures in your new camper😃 🌟New Subscriber🌟 I'm so excited for you🤙

new sub, came across you guys on the youtube feed. SO happy for you both, and a lot of envy! Looking forward to your new travels! hugs from Ontario Canada
thank you for checking out our channel! We came across yours when we found a lance lite 815 available about 4 hours away from us for CHEAP! we had to jump on it but wanted to get a good idea of how the inside felt before we made the trip to pick it up. From your videos, the camper looked more than spacious for us! thanks for sharing. we will continue following your journey. hope to see you on the road!
Hi, I'm getting a truck camper from a couple of ladies who are moving and leaving their camping days behind. Getting my truck ready now, will pick up camper in a couple of weeks. Learning all I can while I wait. Thanks for helping to demystify through your experience!
@@honeyiroam I now am in possession of a 2000 Fleetwood Angler in pretty decent shape aside from needing some framing replaced due to rot in the cabover part and the shower not working (don't know why). Everything else supposedly works (Yay!). My truck just got a new radiator and thermostat but I need to wait til next month to get tiedowns installed and new tires put on. Reading up on all the systems in the literature that came with the camper--the gals were the original owners and still had all that stuff! Camper currently sitting on a small flatbed trailer I have--perfect size until I get it on the truck.
So happy for y'all! Finally - you've discovered Whataburger! And a new home! Your bath is a wet bath. It's common to sit down on the toilet seat to take a shower.
WOW! That is AWESOME! Wishing you two the best of luck with your new rig. I have been toying the idea of a small motor home, been checking FB marketplace 2-3 times a day. Your rig is perfect now with a 4 x 4 truck and a camper on it, the possibilities are endless for exploring our great country. Enjoy,
exactly! we wanted something that was compact but could also go into some good overloading spots. we decided against a pop up truck camper because we wanted something a little more comfortable since we will be work camping in it. let us know how your search goes! have you found the perfect camper for you?
Giulietta, you mentioned that a/c four times. 😄 But I get you, a/c is a must. I'm so happy for you both! YAY!!! This is going to make life so much easier, especially when you're work camping. Thanks for the quick tour, and I can't wait to see how you make it your own. Did you tell mama to get her sewing machine out?!
Right on! I'm so happy for you gals. This is a real game changer for stormy rainy weather, now you a nice table to sit at and more standing room. I look forward to seeing the new design ideas as you make it you own. Congrats!
@@honeyiroam its perfect, and it's bigger than the runaway, we loved ours too, but we needed and wanted something a little bigger too, and easier set up, and stand up in lol! So we went the van route, a 2005 pleasureway wide body excel ts. Just a bit bigger than the runaway lol!
I just took my TC off the truck today. For the winter months. Since I live in NE Minnesota. Truck feels naked without it. Had been on the truck since April. All orginal. 1972 El Dorado with a few bumps and bruises but in pretty great shape for the age. No bathroom in it tho but I do have a compost toilet that I made for it. Her name is Mable and the truck, which is white, is Betty White. Lol. Lil Spitfire. Lol. Congratulations on your new TC and may you make so many more memories in it.
We totally understand how the truck feel naked without the camper lol we bet Mable is a beauty! Thanks so much for watching and for all of your support, Tawny! Let the memories & adventures continue!
WOW!!! What a GREAT upgrade!! Now the next chapter begins. Love the food, Love the Camper and LOVE the LOVE you have for each other. Sending you both Love, Hugs and Happiness.
LOL, when Amber laughed about people getting married at Whataburger! Love you two and so happy for your new truck camper and your new adventures! You make me smile every video! Winston is so relaxed in the truck!
Hey I stopped by to check out your camper video and glad I did. Subscribed immediately. I love camper life better than tiny house. It looks awesome. Congrats 🍾 By the way love hamburgers with good cup of coffee.
So excited for both of you! I have a smaller one and love it! Just FYI just make sure all sealed on roof and around doors and window! Can’t wait to see what you do with it! Congratulations!
Fyi make sure your propane valves are shut off at the tank before you enter a fuel station. Sinse you have a 3 way fridge, you should be good to run on the 12v while driving.
Welcome to the honey I roam fam! We did like whataburger, never had a Pal's burger before. We will try one when we make it that way! Stay tuned for more fun 😁😁😁
I am so excited for you! I can't wait to see how you change that camper up and make it your own. I'm sure you're aware, but make sure you maintain the seals. A little bit of water can do so much damage.
I love truck campers and hope to some day buy one and customize the inside. Tip: check the roof and do your maintenance asap. Water kills these things.
Thank you so much, Tina! That truly means the world to us! We have been on the road two years and this is such an exciting new chapter! Thank you for being on this journey with us. XOXO.
Glad I found you guys. You're cute. Good luck with the camper. I have a slide in pop up eight ft. camper on a 6.5 ft box with the tailgate down. It's the narrow sport side box so it's wedged in really tight. Bought it for $ 1,750. Very few options but I can sleep in it and cook in it so I'm OK!
We’re so glad you found us Also, David! Welcome to the honey, I roam family! That’s so cool that you also have a slide in camper! We were also considering a pop up, because they have so many advantages!
I used to have a Z 71 offroad. I had a 5th wheel with it. I kept it for a year but ended up selling both because I needed a ladder to get into the cab. It wouldn't fit in the garage and in Anchorage AK, you really need to use your garage if you have one! Good luck! New sub here.
Thank you so much, Lynne! Welcome to the honey, I Rome family! We bet you had incredible adventures! We can see how that would definitely be a challenge, especially in Alaska! But it is beautiful there!
I did a long trip and found that wind drag was terrible at 60mph. I was getting aroung 10 miles per gallon. At around 52 mph i got around 14 mpg. If your truck runs on diesel then the effect of wind drag is less.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Neil! We definitely make it a point to go as low as we need to to feel the most comfortable, safe, and efficient.
Congrats! You shower drains into your black tank so consider a reroute to an outside container...there is a video on the internet on how to do it. Very easy to do as I did on my 2004 "815".
Woohoo! Glad you guys were able to upgrade to a truck camper! Look forward to seeing what you guys do with it! BTW…..thanks for all of your videos using your Dutch oven to cook amazing meals! You have inspired us to do the same on our channel! It really is the BOMB diggity! Blessings!
Yayyy!!! do you know we truly loved a Runaway and we are so happy to be in some thing bigger now! We have so many exciting projects on the forefront! And now that it is cooling down, well, maybe because Florida lol, we will have to film some more Dutch oven recipes for you soon! Blessings XOXO
@@honeyiroam Just curious, have you guys ever checked out being campground hosts? I hear there is like a network of people that do that. It seems like a good deal with a free camp space for the length of your contract, plus you can tour all across the country hosting in different places. How cool is that?😊
my word for 'excited' is Stoked, as in I'm so stoked for you 2 and your new home!! It's going to feel like a mansion compared to the Runaway! Congrats to you both on your new home!
Amber says stoked allll the time time! It’s such a fun and laid-back word! Our truck camper is feeling very large, you’re right LOL thanks so much for being on this journey with us. XOXO.
You guys are so adorable. Happy to see that you're so happy! Enjoy every minute of life! My husband and I are on our way to the Hershey Pennsylvania RV show to look at RVs for the very first time. Who knows... We might become RVers too. Cheers!
Something to do when possible is install a large rubber mat in your truck bed. They make these for the bottom of horse trailers. Better than 2 by 4s. Their like 3/4 in thick and 4 x 8 ft
Thank you for the tip! we are looking into different options. Currently, we saw a recommendation from truck camper magazine to put the pink insulation board in it. 2" thick and perfect size for our truck bed. Good price too. Still mulling around ideas, stay tuned to see what we do!
@@honeyiroam good luck. The camper will sink into the rubber mat and have some cushion on rough roads. I installed mine after seeing the idea on a camper forum. I bought mine at Cabellas
Instead of heading to HEB to load up for our trip to Riverbend tomorrow, I'm watching you gals and your adventures. If I'm running on physical empty later, as I'm getting close to doing, we'll, it's all your fault🤣 See ya tomorrow! So "excited" for the 3 of you!
We love it for y'all! We hope it works out for you and it doesn't turn out to have any problems! That is totally an upgrade from a Runaway and it has so much useful space! Live and learn from it, you'll be pros with it in a year from now!
Lance is one of the best campers you can buy. Being 23 years old pay extra attention to the seams especially around the sleeper as over those they have a tendency to leak. Keep ‘em sealed and you should get a lot of good use from it. I have a Runaway Cool Camp and love it but you can’t stand up and people see the camper and say “oh how cute” but it’s only so cute. It gets the job done but it’s just a bed off the ground with AC which works for my needs. I hope that rig gives you plenty of miles of trouble free driving. Has to be better than that Patriot especially if the Patriot had a CVT. Jeep had a lot of trouble with those CVT’s. Good luck
So excited for the both of you...and Winston too. I see all kinds of fun projects and camping experiences in the future (like roof top solar maybe?). Before you leave Texas, there are some great off road areas to camp like Big Bend where you can give that 4X4 truck camper a good test (I'll be there next month myself). Anyway, I'm really happy this dream became a reality after what happened last year. See you down the road.
Congratulations girls!!! Now I have a place to sleep when I come visit you! LOL!!! You two deserve a new camper, hope you enjoy it! Dreams do come true!!! 👍👏🎉♥️🥰
My heart was so overjoyed watching this video🥳 Congratulations to you both! been watching you guys from tent camping to this very moment and I'm VERY happy for you guys, keep the memories and the awsome adventures coming, many blessings and safe travels always 🥰❤️💪
I absolutely love y’all so glad my girl and I found your channel! We are currently travelers and looking to purchase a tiny home on wheels! Any suggestions
Woo hoo! We’re so stoked that y’all found us! You’re a Honey now! Can’t wait to hear what yall decide. We are loving our Truck camper! Hopefully our videos give you lots of insight into what it’s like. We used to have an even tinycamper so if you go back about six months, you can see all of that!
The holding tranks are small so you will not get too many showers. You will want to check the toilet after showering before driving as shower water can fill up the bowl and slosh around if you do not flush. The 3 way fridge has to be level at all times while operating because of the gas lines. So be sure to check a couple hours after you are situated that the fridge is cold. Lance makes a nice rig. You at some point may want to swap out the standard faucet (Not that hard to do) with a pull out faucet. Then you can wash your hair in the sink! It may have a outside shower as well. Looks like a nice unit. I know this is a year old and you have probably learned all of this by now. Congrats. You are so enthusiastic. This was a ver positive watch.
To help with the gas. I'm so happy for you both!!! Ray
thank you thank you Ray!

Amber says stoked allll the time time! It’s such a fun and laid-back word! Our truck camper is feeling very large, you’re right LOL thanks so much for being on this journey with us. XOXO.
Congratulations Ladies!! Such fun new adventures to start planning!! And what joy to actually be able to stand up inside!! 💕
Thank you so much!!
Congrats on the camper enjoy the life!
Thank you! We are loving it so far!
You guys are so adorable. Happy to see that you're so happy! Enjoy every minute of life! My husband and I are on our way to the Hershey Pennsylvania RV show to look at RVs for the very first time. Who knows... We might become RVers too. Cheers!
so did you decide to take the plunge? are you RVers yet?
💋 lovely truck camper. Your axles will thank you for the light weight. All the amenities are there. Will you be installing an awning?
You’re so kind! We think we will get a screened in room to keep bugs out rather than just an awning, but we are still deciding 💜
@@born2push good to know ! what kind of camper do you have? just curious, we are currently obsessed with truck campers 😊😁
@@honeyiroam i have a 1992 Lance squire. Its a bit heaver than yours.
That is so nice, you guys are blessed.
We count our blessings every day! Thanks so much for being on this journey with us!

Can’t wait for more adventures come Michigan upper peninsula‼️
SOUNDS AMAZING! That area is def on our list :)
So happy for you guys!!!
Aww we love ya, Tamara! We loved spending time with you this Summer! You're a true inspiration and fun as can be!

Hi!! You’re awesome
Love it!!! So happy for yall!! 🥰🙌🏻🤍
OMG, I am so excited for you both! Congratulations!!!
Thank you so much!!
Amazing! Congratulations on your new home.
Thank you 😁
New camper & Whataburger you can't go wrong. So happy for you.😎
We love it for y'all! We hope it works out for you and it doesn't turn out to have any problems! That is totally an upgrade from a Runaway and it has so much useful space! Live and learn from it, you'll be pros with it in a year from now!
We are loving it! we also like that it wasn't a lot of money so it really isn't a huge gamble. Fun projects coming soon!
Good luck
We will be working on the sealing in the upcoming weeks! Thank you for your advice and stayyy tuned!
Rooftop solar is the dreeeeaaammm! Thank you so much! We love Big Bend!
Congratulations girls!!! Now I have a place to sleep when I come visit you! LOL!!! You two deserve a new camper, hope you enjoy it! Dreams do come true!!! 👍👏🎉♥️🥰
haha love that! Thank you!

Woo hoo! We’re so stoked that y’all found us! You’re a Honey now! Can’t wait to hear what yall decide. We are loving our Truck camper! Hopefully our videos give you lots of insight into what it’s like. We used to have an even tinycamper so if you go back about six months, you can see all of that!

New subscriber here awesome video I look forward to watching other videos keep them coming
Ayyye! Welcome to the Honey, I Roam family! So excited to have you on this journey with us!
Congratulations to you on this new direction for your living (aka moveable house). I think truck campers are a great option for roaming…..
