In my opinion- just like with everything consume with moderation. If you’re really craving some sugar and you know you shouldn’t drink it, drink you a no sugar drink
that wont do anything. if you're craving sugar, then you arent eating enough sugar. that simple. Your body needs more sugar for muscle glycogen. Healthiest thing you can do is take your sugar white or raw & mix it in with water. Don't make the mistake of getting your sugar through chocolate. just dissolve a few spoons in water and gulp it down or eat fruits is the cleanest way. If you drink sweetener, you will just keep drinking because your body will keep sending you that signal that you dont have enough muscle glycogen, so you end up buying 3 cans instead of 1, which is why the companies push ZERO SUGAR as healthy. because they get more sales, as their product doesnt solve your issue.
@@Nelson4207 what are you on about, mate. Glucose is an important level to raise. If you drink no sugar coke, you will get ZERO energy, meaning you will crash your car midday! ZERO glucose. Your body cannot invent glucose simply because it tastes something. If you imagine a bar of gold, do you magically get rich?
The thing is, cravings are created by addiction to said substance, and you're just prolonging that addiction by using artificial sweetened drinks as a substitute. I have water 99.9% of the time with little to no desire for anything else. It is nice once in a while to have a treat, but if you're drinking any of this once a day then it's a problem.
In ketogenic diets, eliminating sugars and high carbs may give you headaches, cramps, fatigue, for the first three days as the body will start to lose a mass of water. Best to stay hydrated. I doubt it's from the sweeteners. When we eat carbs, the energy that we do not use right away is stored as glycogen molecules. Each gram (g) of glycogen comes with 3 g of water attached.
I never met someone who drinks Sugar free drinks in a healthy dose. Either they dont drink it at all or they are drinking like 3 bottles a day. There is definitely some addictive quality to it.
The overall issue I would have with this video is that it lumps all sweetness together as if all had the same effects on all. To lump all of the alternatives under one umbrella is in itself misleading and irresponsible. It would be like making a statement that all pain relievers do this or that. 3:27 how is that misleading. it said zero sugar, not zero sweet, or zero taste. 5:55 I would gladly deal with a little flatulence for the benefits of a little sweetness.
while yes, zero sugar drinks arent healthy by any means keep in mind that for someone like me whose diabetic, the regular drinks are actually more unhealthy for me due to the ludicrous amounts of high fructose corn syrup in them. and in that way, the diet version is actually better for me. if i drink the sugar stuff enough i would end up in the hospital.
This is my problem with sugar-free beverages, the manufacturer think because there is no sugar in their product they will add a artificial sweetener with 10,000% more sweetness to it... I actually take one can of Sprite zero and the equivalent of plain water and make myself a half soda half water beverage because I can't stand how sweet artificial sweeteners are...
Thank you. My parents are addicted to soda and they are just stuck in that old mentality and habit. I needed some straight-forward information to try to explain to them that it’s not that good for them. What about the cost on the environment to ship all those drinks when we have soda streams?
Treat all adictions as you do to a cigar. A smoker ain't gonna care about its dangers because they don't care why they drink, they only care about smoking so that they can lessen their withdrawl.
I absolutely hate the taste of diet sodas and other drinks in their zero sugar version. A couple sips of diet Mt Dew and I was going Yuck! and shortly after got a stomach ache. Was given a Zero sugar Gatorade from a variety pack...Yuck! once again and poured the rest from the bottle down the sink.

A healthy adult drinking 1/4 of a sugar free can of soda twice a week vs drinking 1/4 of a sugared soda. I like it since it doesn't irritate my mouth with sugar
When it comes to soda pop with high fructose corn syrup or a soda with artificial sweeteners and being a type 2 diabetic, you're 1,000,000% better off risking artificial sweetener drawbacks over high fructose corn syrup beverages... high fructose corn will literally kill a diabetic in a very short period of time...
Drink whole milk that's good for your teeth and your bones and will keep them healthy I like Dr Pepper only I like it with the sugar or whatever in there and I don't really like to die stuff and dye stuff is worse for you anyway cuz it's artificial but your teeth will stay healthy if you drink milk Andrea brushing him is good too but you don't have to floss you don't have to brush them all the time either to keep your teeth healthy
