We *are* happier because we’re in Texas. I came to Texas from Moscow in 1978. It’s my adopted home and there’s no place I’d rather be. But the BBQ helps, too.
I think we Texans are a bit more expressive. People tell me I'm so nice and smile a lot. I live in Colorado now, but I lived Texas till I was 31.
I love my state. I think watching ppl eat bbq for the first time could be my favorite youtube niche. Slow and low… thats bbq. High and fast is grilling.
Now you have to go next door to Louisiana and try crawfish and king cake in the spring!

in Eastern Europe you guys have no clue what is the difference between rare, medium rare, and well done. the best cooks are from countries where food was always available and lots of options. I was born in Ukraine btw, the best steaks the best meat is a lot better in USA than Eastern Europe.
