I'm so so excited and thrilled for you!! VSG was the single best thing I've ever done for myself. The tough parts aren't even that bad, and it starts to get sooo good really fast. You are going to rock it!!! You definitely have the focus and drive to do awesome with VSG. I can't wait to watch you succeed, sleeve sister :)
The walking is going to be your best friend afterwards. From the first day of your surgery getting up and walking is going to make you feel so much better. You're doing great!
I love your videos I’m new to your channel and you’re so dedicated and such a wonderful model. I am 2 weeks pre-op gastric bypass surgery is June 5th and I’m on same diet as you and so far so good. Congratulations on your journey and success
Awwww thank you! I'm so glad my videos could be helpful in your journey too. The pre-op journey really does set you up for success - so hang in there and good luck with your upcoming procedure! 💖
I have recently had a few version of the muscle milk after my workouts. I have to say they're pretty good for no or low sugar. This plan looks like what I might eat in a day on any given day of the week. I am excited for you to go through this process and will be here to follow along and support you as you go.
I was pleasantly surprised with the MM protein drinks too! If there are any other's you've tried that are good, let me know. The more chocolatey the better for me. LOL Thanks Misty! 💖
Mine is on the 17th!! I’m starting my liver shrinking diet tomorrow!!!! I got some premier shakes in chocolate flavor. My son ordered me the pumpkin spice premier protein shakes they will be here tomorrow hopefully!! I got stuff for my coffee (sugar free vanilla and caramel syrups) and unsweetened coconut milk. Apparently I need to get decaf now I didn’t realize I had to have decaf 😞
Pre-op diet is literally the hardest part, in my opinion! But it does prepare you for the first few weeks after surgery (all the protein shakes I mean haha). May 1st will be here before you know it - best of luck and keep me posted! 💖
Oh my gosh, that is SO exciting! Congrats on approval! It's really like starting a whole new chapter. I'm glad you found my channel. It's good for us all to support each other 💖💖💖
Oh my goodness, do you mean the Facebook Group or the LiveStream? I really do want to bring back the livestream. I will probably not continue the facebook group because it ended up becoming a place where people posted their UA-cam videos and nothing else, which wasn't what I intended it for. Also - thank you. I do want to try and enlighten people about what this really takes. It's hard! It may be my greatest challenge yet. 💖💖💖
Sounds great! Where do you find this? I can't say that I have seen it in a store near me (but then again, I haven't looked either). Thanks for sharing!
I'm imagining a little surgeon sitting on my shoulder watching over me (kinda like the old cartoon devil and angel LOL) it's really helping 🤣 Thanks for cheering me on, Carolyn 💖💖💖
I normally preach against the surgery (due to a very scary experience with someone close to me), but clearly you’ve done so much mental healing with food that I think the surgery will be very successful for you. Hope to do that collab while you’re in town!
Ive been doing the same thing. I have tea for breakfast, 1st protein shake at lunch, then 3-4oz lean protein w 1-2 cups non starchy veggiws for dinner then have my 2nd protein shake slushy like frozen after dinner for "desert."
I am not a fan of most protein shakes, but I like the Premier however I LOVE the 42g Chocolate or Vanilla Fairlife Core shakes. OMG! The Carmel Premier with some decaf Javy, over ice, is also quite nice. :)
I have really come to love putting my protein shakes in my coffee. Overall I'm sick to death of them, so any way I can hide it helps. For some reason, I can't find any Fairlife products near me. I'll have to look next time in Tulsa!
Hello Sara my queen I suggest trying Premier Protein shakes in the flavor Caramel. It's a cleaner shake compared to Muscle Milk, it has only 160 cal with 30 grams protein. I promise you will not be disappointed! Do not get the Walmart knock off though, it takes weird, get the actual Premier Protein brand. Sometimes it's in stock at Walmart but I've just been ordering the cases off of Amazon. Let me know how you like it 💐😉
SO NOT FAIR. My pre op is 21 days. 3-5 protein shakes a day Optional sugar free pudding /jello/popsicles/cottage cheese or Greek yogurt I’m gonna cheat. This crunchy craving is insane. I just want to crunch
Don't cheat!! I promise it will be worth it. But you gotta follow the rules now or it will be even harder once you have surgery. I would call your bariatric team and ask if there's something you can have to help with your craving. I was allowed pickles for something crunchy.
It's crazy how different it is from each bariatric center. I'm over here cheering for you, yours does sound tough and you are SO strong for sticking to it. Hang in there!
I've seen that premiere protein is good for pre made and alot of people like quest protein powder and if you mix it with soy milk soy milk has more protein ☺️just some things I've seen
Omg I wish, I have to only use 4 shakes a day and NO solid foods, I'm 13 days till my surgery and I been doing medimeal shakes 900 Cals only every day, still working my very active full time job, dragging my ass so bitchy and tired, but I can have powerade zero and Gatorade zero, and at night abit of chicken broth...I have seen so many UA-cam vids where you get shakes and food, I just don't understand
That is a great question and I'll go into more detail in my weekly weigh in video, BUT I will say that my job knows I am having surgery and told me I could take as much time as I need. I plan on going back after just a few days. I work from home so it's very easy for me to do, I will just have to be more disciplined with breaks. I'm fortunate that my job is not high stress or physically demanding.
It's wild to me how the pre-op diet varies from surgeon to surgeon. But I imagine they have reasons for it. Hang in there, I really feel the pre-op diet is the hardest part, good luck!!!
@russetburbanks275 you are so welcome! Don't be afraid to ask your surgical team if you can have them! They're very low calorie (and technically a veggie). Especially if you're struggling on the pre-op. They'll be the best to give advice. 🫶
For real, that might have been one of the hardest parts! I just started being able to add caffeine back in, although I can't drink very much coffee because it fills me. Thanks for the support and encouragement 💖
I have noticed the LRD is completely different from surgeon to surgeon. Although I do know a few people who had to do full liquid 2-weeks who also went to same center as I did. That's why I always say follow the guidelines from *your* surgeon.
You are now the 2nd person to tell me this 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ but I did get Premier Protein instead when I restocked. I'll be mentioning this in my weigh in video, so appreciate the heads up. I didn't realize! 🙃
I'm so so excited and thrilled for you!! VSG was the single best thing I've ever done for myself. The tough parts aren't even that bad, and it starts to get sooo good really fast. Ahhhh thank you soo so much! 💖💖💖 I am so excited and nervous!
The walking is going to be your best friend afterwards. From the first day of your surgery getting up and walking is going to make you feel so much better. You're doing great!
I keep hearing that!! Definiitely going to get into good habits now (although I already walked/jogged pretty regularly). Thanks for the support! 💖
I love your videos I’m new to your channel and you’re so dedicated and such a wonderful model. I am 2 weeks pre-op gastric bypass surgery is June 5th and I’m on same diet as you and so far so good. Congratulations on your journey and success

Great job Sara! It looks like it’s very strict diet. But the pay off with the surgery will all be worth it!
Yes, it's definitely strict! The first few days were really hard, but I've pretty much gotten used to it at this point. Thanks for cheering me on!
I’m loving this so much! You’re doing such a great job training and prepping your body for surgery. You ARE the model patient. Great job.
❤️-Felicia
Awww, thanks, Felicia! 💖 I am sure trying... it's been tough but we're getting there!

Great job being the model patient!
It was rough but I'm so proud of myself for doing it! And sticking to it for 2 weeks. Thank you!
I am really excited to see this journey! I’ve never known anyone to go through this, I’m intrigued to watch the process and watch you SUCEED 🥰
Thank you so much for cheering me on, Kaitlyn 💖💖💖 It's going to be a heck of a ride!
So excited for your new journey! 😊 you got this!! ❤
Thank you so much 💖💖
I’m so excited for you! I have my VSG surgery on October 11., 2022
Ohhhh getting close! How exciting!!! It's a huge adjustment but so worth it. 💜 Keep me posted on how it goes for you!

Following your journey. I’ve just been approved for GS too. Although looking at the new year before I get my op x
Oh my gosh, that is SO exciting! Congrats on approval! It's really like starting a whole new chapter. I'm glad you found my channel. It's good for us all to support each other 💖💖💖
thank you for sharing this! it will really help lower the stigma. i’m excited to watch your new journey and support you. 🧡
i miss the caffeine and calories group. hope we can get it back one day!

This is so interesting and I am really excited for you, Sara! We sometimes have breakfast for dinner as well. Have a great week! 💜- Helen
I LOVE breakfast for dinner!
I eat the Lewis Keto bread, 35 cal per slice, 5g protein and 1 net carb and its so yummy.
Sounds great! Where do you find this? I can't say that I have seen it in a store near me (but then again, I haven't looked either). Thanks for sharing!
Love following your journey, Sara. So proud of you. ❤️
Awwww I'm so happy to have you along for the ride too 💖💖💖
Love your dedication girl! You got this! 💖
I'm imagining a little surgeon sitting on my shoulder watching over me (kinda like the old cartoon devil and angel LOL) it's really helping 🤣 Thanks for cheering me on, Carolyn 💖💖💖
@@LoseWeightSara hahah that’s funny! You’ll be ok! 💖

I hope so too! The schedule is looking kind of packed but I think we can make something work!
I’m on the liver shrink diet now. 🙏
Ooh good luck! I swear it's the hardest part 😆😆
Ive been doing the same thing. I have tea for breakfast, 1st protein shake at lunch, then 3-4oz lean protein w 1-2 cups non starchy veggiws for dinner then have my 2nd protein shake slushy like frozen after dinner for "desert."
The slushy idea is excellent! Makes it feel like you get a treat!

Ooh ok I'll check those out! I need a restock!
Very cool to see the diet. You should do another day, too!
I am super excited for you!!
Aw, thanks LB!! 💖💖 I added some of the other meals to today's video. Appreciate you cheering me on 💖💖💖
My bypass is next wed! Liquid diet for one more week! Yikes!!
Oh my gosh!! So close!!! Are you excited? It's not easy, but it's worth it. Wish you a speedy recovery - keep me posted on your progress!
I might have to try one of the muscle milks. Great day of eating
Thanks Alan! They're pretty tasty!

I'm trying some new protein from a company called Clean Simple Eats. A little pricey but they had some interesting flavors!
as a walmart employee, i'd like to thank you for the many endorsements 😆
LOL I'm literally surrounded by Walmarts 😆
Decaf coffee still has caffeine in it… does the canister REALLY say “no caffeine”?
My pre-op plan allowed coffee labeled decaf, and that's what I went by.
I can't have fish or meats or fruits for 2 weeks.
VERY DIFFERENT pre op diet.
Oh wow! It's wild to me how different it is from one surgical center to another!
why do you eat 2 piese of breag and 2 eggs? ...why not only 1. ?
I had calories and carbs left to budget and I was hungry.
@@LoseWeightSara / ...poor girl!
LOL I survived somehow 😅 thank you for watching

It is wild to me how different the LRD is from one surgeon to the next! Hang in there, friend, I know it's gotta be rough right now.
What is your post op plan -- are you planning to take time off work?
That is a great question and I'll go into more detail in my weekly weigh in video, BUT I will say that my job knows I am having surgery and told me I could take as much time as I need. I plan on going back after just a few days. I work from home so it's very easy for me to do, I will just have to be more disciplined with breaks. You can have pickles???? :( they won’t let me have anything but shakes, cottage cheese 0 fat, jello zero sugar.
It's wild to me how the pre-op diet varies from surgeon to surgeon. But I imagine they have reasons for it. Hang in there, I really feel the pre-op diet is the hardest part, good luck!!!
Thank you! I just seen this and I love pickles…. Hahaha. Thank you for the video too.

I think no caffeine would be so hard!! Way to stick with it!
For real, that might have been one of the hardest parts! I just started being able to add caffeine back in, although I can't drink very much coffee because it fills me. Thanks for the support and encouragement 💖
I thought your not suppose to have any bread on the pre op diet only lean meat and vegetables
I used a high protein lower carb bread. I was allowed up to a certain amount of carbs but every surgeon has a different protocol.
I don’t understand why some people are allowed real food on their liver shrinking pre op diet
I have noticed the LRD is completely different from surgeon to surgeon. Although I do know a few people who had to do full liquid 2-weeks who also went to same center as I did. That's why I always say follow the guidelines from *your* surgeon.
I was told not to drink coffee
I was allowed decaf. Follow your instructions though, that's always the best course of action as they vary from surgeon to surgeon.
Oh man those muscle milk drinks are soo lame. They say non dairy…. But if you look at the ingredients…dairy exists. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
You are now the 2nd person to tell me this 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ but I did get Premier Protein instead when I restocked. I'll be mentioning this in my weigh in video, so appreciate the heads up. I didn't realize! 🙃
