Today marks my 1-Year Anniversary of Intermittent Fasting 16:8 minimum (sometimes I do 18:6, or 20:4 at a push). 365 days uninterrupted as of today. I've lost 13 Stone / 76kg. Reversed Type-2 Diabetes. I have much more energy, and arguably the most important aspect: I have a much healthier relationship with food. I don't know the true ins-and-outs of the impact of InFast itself, but for me, it has been an exercise in self-control. That alone has been worth it, and I'm going to keep at it. I hope, if any of you are struggling and haven't tried intermittent fasting, that it can help you as well.
Hello! I'm curious as to how you experience the differences in fast level. I do 14:10 as a standard lifestyle and have for many years without knowing anything of this intermittent fasting and so I wonder how impactful it would be for me to swap it to 16:8. It seems I am pretty much on a healthy track as I'm on a good weight with a good energetic balance, still recently got into nutrition and I can't help but wonder abit and I kind of want to try.
@snowteamw123 Hi there! I'm afraid it's hard to describe, as I went from dire health circumstances and reckless eating habits straight into 16:8 Fasting. But I think it'd be worth trying to move to 16:8 for a month or two and see if you can feel a difference in yourself. No harm in trying! It's good to hear you're already in great health, though. Do what feels right 👍🏻 and I wish you all the best.
I’m a true success story with intermittent fasting! With the help of proper exercise (cardiovascular and resistance training) I’ve achieved an 80lb weight loss! I found that intermittent fasting motivates me to fill my feeding window with healthy foods that are unprocessed and filled with nutrients to satisfy my cravings. I fall off the fasting train from time to time, especially when events like weddings, girls nights and brunches are thrown in the mix. I’m a huge advocate for this type of dieting and hope to promote it more during my personal training career. Thanks for sharing this video, it’s very educational and easy to follow!
That’s so impressive that’s an amazing amount of weight to lose. Your on top of it now, keep up the good work. I have 12 kilos to lose, and I’m starting today. I love your post it’s so inspiring. 😉
Tomorrow (1st feb, 2024) marks my 1st day of IF. Been on Keto diet for some time. lost around 20kgs. Embarking on a new journey; As of now I am 120kgs. Started at 141 kgs. Goal is 79/80 kgs. Wish me luck ♥. I hope, I come back here again to share a success story.
Nice, I'm starting today myself. Excited for the new challenge of keto and i.f. We started our own business so life got away from us haha. Shooting to loose about 40 lbs. Good luck on your journey.
Good information. Note: You may start 12/12/, moving via 14/10 to 16/8. Keep carbs low. Get energy from good fat like avocado. Don’t overeat. Don’t plan cheat days as they will come anyway at work or at gatherings. You may not fall asleep easily initially. I have some almonds, a bit of banana. Helps. Drink a lot of water. Take magnesium. And, exercise. If beginner build up. Later try high intensity Intervall training HIIT. Short sessions do. Be patient, don’t listen to others, reduce eating out. Enjoy every progress re weight, bodylook, feeling balanced, knowing eating healthy is good for you, getting fitter, being more self-confident. Cheers.
Just reading your comment saying, drink plenty of water 💦 I immediately reached for the water bottle haha, I forget to drink water. 🤷♀️ Thanks for your input.
I love how you indicate cheat days are from gatherings and at work cause it's true. Plus I would also suggest taking ACV capsules before a high carb feast like Pizza and an oz of dessert to help lower that blood sugar spike by 30%. My friends would complain feeling hungover meanwhile I just feel fine
I'm a 55 year old postmenopausal woman. I'd like to lose 60 lb but I don't want to pay NOOM or Simple app. I'M CHEAP. I Start my 16/8 fast today! Let's do this!🎉
@@mouzzamahmad2171 I have lost 12 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks. I'm fighting an internal battle... I want a blizzard...I want ice cream... But I want to lose more weight!
I’m 68…..Lived like this since I read about it at the age of 22; a book by an Indian chap. I weigh the same as when I was 20. It’s simple and works……too easy…🇬🇧
I started intermittent fasting about two months ago. I started with 12:12, I basically didn’t eat at night after dinner. I’ve stretched it out to 14:10 or 16:8 because I’m not hungry in the mornings. I’ve also greatly improved my diet, I was terribly addicted to sugar and had a diet of mostly sugar and refined carbohydrates. Now I eat real, whole food ( fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, meats ,seafoods and full fat dairy) and have lost body fat. This is a lifestyle I can live with.
I had a similar experience. Only I went 14:10 for about two years and kept experimenting with 16:8. Now I’m on a full 16:8 and I can feel a major difference. The hunger pangs in the morning are intermittent. Some days I’m ravenously hungry other days I don’t even notice. All I can tell people is the weight loss is noticeable but you will plateau unless you increase exercise and/or decrease caloric intake. But what fasting has done for me is I am off the Acid Reflux medication and I rarely take Antacids of any kind unless I cheat and eat sugary foods. The bloating and brain fog has severely reduced. I feel more energetic or another way to look at it I don’t tire as quickly. I breathe better at night and during exercise. I don’t sweat as much, and generally I feel better throughout the day. I have experimented with Paleo and Keto and Carnivore diets. I tend to find myself more on the Cheatovore side. It’s hard giving up food. Food is a pleasure like no other, but I can tell you that Carnivore and Keto and something in between is more doable than most people think. Just watch out for those cheat days because you may regret it more than you enjoy it.
@@unholynexus yes, I feel so much better also. I no longer use melatonin to sleep, I no longer have irregularly issues ( I have Parkinson’s, and it is common to have such issues). I have lost 15 pounds, and don’t want to lose any more. - I went from 115 to 100- I started all of this to try to quit my sugar addiction. The fasting and better eating habits keep my blood sugar stable so I don’t crave sugar as much. But I have to admit I do have desert on a special occasion.
I’m on week 4 of intermittent fasting, my eating time window is 2pm to 10pm. It works great for me. I eat a vegetable-rich lunch and eat a light snack for dinner to sustain me until the next day. I don’t feel hungry until about 30 minutes before 2pm. I’ve lost about 2kgs since I started.
Works for me, I alternate between 6pm / 10 am as it fits with eating with my children early evening and my job. I am not hungry in the morning, so mid- morning works for me. My stomach fat was visibly reduced in 2 weeks
That is the best timing for my intermittent fasting also. I never eat after six anyway. Mornings I just wait until 10 and distract myself doing other things. Works well.
I have been practicing intermittent fasting for over two months now and bought a pair a pants at my normal size and they were too big! This diet definitely works.
Doing this for three months and I swear I shall bring back the results. I pray it works cause I have struggled with body weight for years and I am on the verge of loosing hope.
I've been on 16:8 a week now and it's made a big difference to my mental health. I stop eating around 6 pm (I'm a huge snacker in the evenings) It's really helped get me out of that night time snacking and tv. I will say that i had/still have strange symptoms which I think might be 'detox' from all the sugar and junk food. I do eat healthy most days, just like to snack on corn chips/chocolate etc. So far I'm very glad to be doing this - I can distract myself in the evenings by cleaning, making phone calls or whatever . I sleep well as I'm not starving going to bed and although I'm hungry in the morning, I can make it through on black coffee (I do add 1tsp of heavy cream as per Mindy Pelz advice if you need it). My blood sugar is more steady. Thanks for posting the video. Best of luck to anyone else who tries it🙂
honestly, stop snacking. you're taxing your pancreas into releasing insulin constantly which stays in your blood stream longer, contributing to insulin resistance in the long run...
Maybe you should read this from today's papers before deciding.... "FASTING for long periods each - day may double the chance of - dying from cardiovascular disease, scientists are warning. The 16:8 diet where all food is eaten in an eight-hour window - _ has gained popularity after stars - including Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez used it.. _ Previous studies suggested it can improve blood pressure, blood - glucose and cholesterol levels. . But the first look at long-term effects found the 16:8 was associated with a 91% higher chance of dying from cardiovascular disease than those who ate across 12 or 16 hours.. Shanghai-based Dr Victor Wenze Zhong, who led the . analysis of 20,000 US adults, said those with existing heart conditions should take note. He adding: “Our findings encourage a more personalised approach to diet.” Dr Zhong also said it did not mean fasting kills and more work was needed".
This was the best thing I was ever introduced to. I have made it a lifestyle. Now I know what’s bad going in my body without guessing and It helps to control my eating habits without suffering during the week.
I've lost 17 pounds in 30 days on the 8pm-noon fast schedule. Biggest tip I can give... Drink a big glass of water 30 minutes before and another small glass right before or while you eat your first meal of the day. And make it a game of how many calories you can avoid. Love this diet because it starts and ends everyday by strengthening your will power "muscles" which makes it easier to push through making healthy food choices when you do eat. I focus on other things besides food and enjoy eating when I do eat. When I'm done losing my 40 lbs I'll keep doing I. F. And just add a small shot of omega3 oil or a protein shake as my final ritual before fasting each night. More calories for my meals and just looking to stay net neutral week over week. Good luck everyone!
I did 72.0 and was very happy, I could do more but decided to take it slow. It feels great. Now I’m on 18.6, sometimes 19.5. Weight goes down fast, as long as you don’t eat processed foods and a lot of fat in your meals. I’m on the second week and plan to stick to the plan, it’s not that hard after all
@@lucymot2010 it became normal for me like a lifestyle. I feel very good and comfortable. It’s been 6 weeks on 16.8 and I’m happy with the results. It’s a good fasting method, just don’t eat after 6 pm. Sometimes I ate an orange or an apple with honey and cinnamon after 6 pm as a treat and that’s ok, but overall this became real for me and I just decided to stick to it. I’m eating grains, boiled eggs, olive oil, fruit, vegetables, beans and sometimes chicken or turkey. The cost is low for this kind of feasting and that’s a benefit too.
Thank you.... Been wondering what the hype was about intermittent fasting... Got a clearer idea now.... Already maintaining 12 hours... Will up it to 13...
I'm sixtyone and over weight I've been on intermittent fasting for six weeks now I'm comfortable with this and I'm fine with the fasting I've lost five pounds and hope to carry on into the future for various health benefits it takes time to adjust but I feel it's worth the effort good luck to all who give it a go.
If you wanna speed things up try cutting out all sugars and most complex carbs (grains, rice, etc) but you’ll have to increase your fat intake from meat and olive oil.
I started intermittent fasting. I use an app called "fast easy" keeps me on track. I've already lost 7 pounds and feel better. Im 29 and prediabetic. Im just trying to take care of myself more, and this is something I can stick to. Im no longer overeating or craving sugar like I used to.
Thats great, but u must know that, 1st few months of weight loss is 70% - 80% water in our body... After few months into dieting than we cn see the real pain of losing just 1 - 2 kg in a month cuz nw its real cholesterol is getting burnt... And its vry time consuming and takes alot of effort to loss cholesterol... And also lets dont forget weight loss plateau
@@Swxxtwinter its mostly 80% of water for obese person... Im frm 185kg went down to 150kg in 2 months... Its just water... Nw im really seeing the pain of diet and exercise cuz i cn only burn 4 - 5 kg or even less in a month...
@@Swxxtwinteralso dont forget... The more obese u are, the more faster u will lose weight for 1st few months... Then it will get more harder... Its all abt out mindset, determination and effort to continue on a healthy lifestyle... Also if ur insulin resistant, than u will hv difficulties in losing weight, 1st u need to bring down the insulin resistance by cutting on carbs and drinking "Magic Juice" (Srilankan Cinnamon, lemon juice and Apple cider vinegar) mix all and drink 2 - 3 times a day... It will cure insulin resistance in few months... Nothing will instantly works it all takes time and we must be patient 👍🏻👍🏻
@@counterstrike8840I used to drink a lot of Water ..8-9 Bottles in one day , will I not Loss weight if I will try this fasting? Or I have to decrease Water Amount
This reminds me of a normal day living with my parents as a kid. We ate three meals and dinner was done by 6pm till breakfast before school. My mom would say kitchen is closed.. lol
@crystal We never ate in the evenings either as kids. When I stayed over at other people’s houses they had a night lunch before bed which I thought was great but now I think what my mother did was better because it formed a habit of not eating in the evenings. I’m just not hungry after supper. Your mother and my mother were on the same page.
@@Dustandfuzz We also didn't eat at night. When I went on a school holiday, we were given hot cocoa and a biscuit. I initially found it odd, but naturally adapted to the sweet treat. Now I'm glad it didn't become a long term habit.
Been intermittent fasting for the past 22 years, been doing weightlifting and muscle strengthening for 5 months. With the advice of my coach, I started to eat three x a day but within two months, I switched back to two times a day without even realising it. Old habits die hard
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
Yes times are tough, Covid hasn’t helped, it’s thrown the world into chaos. First petrol prices went up then food, and it just continues, what ever we buy is smaller yet we pay more, hello don’t they think we have noticed. 🤷♀️ I have a home, my kids have homes along with huge mortgages, with interest rates rising . How are our grandkids and great grandkids going to buy a home ? The great Australian dream was to buy a home. And many people of retirement age, are now doing it so very tough.
I stumbled onto this type of fasting by chance. After foot surgery I was combined to bed and my wheelchair so I was fasting for 14/16 hours a day. My weight has fallen from 190, to 185 which I consider real progress.
I've done this for 3 year and it worked I only ate twice in an 8 hour period and I never gained any weight I don't think I lost much weight because I ate bad food but it's good that I never gained weight
I've beep practicing 16:8 and sometimes 18:6 or 20:4 and must say that whatever you choose is fine as long as you can stick to it. I usually do a 16:8 and ad a 24:0 once a week. During the eating window I still count calories (fasting is useless if you eat 5 cheeseburgers with fries and fizzy drinks) but I'd have two "normal" meals and if I want to eat something sweet such as ice cream I have it just after lunch or dinner so my bloodsugar won't spike too often. At the beginning I used to feel hungry and then I'd just wait and understand that the hunger goes away after some time. We really don't need to eat as much and as often as we might think.
Can u suggest me a time schedule i dont get it how is 16 hours and 8 hours work. Do i just have to wait and eat after 8 hrs same as 16 hrs? Edit: im still in my teens so i would love to do intermittent fasting early
@@jestergamer1017 I eat lunch at 12:00 h and dinner at 18:00h You could technically eat in the afternoon between lunch and dinner but I don't. After dinner I don't eat anymore. I skip breakfast and eat at 12:00 again
I am a professional driver and have started practicing 16:8 2 days ago. Sticking to only taking balance diets and now I am 75 lbs. I will be here in a weekly basis to keep updating. You aren’t too late friends. Let’s rock and roll.
This helped me so much and turns out I've been fasting ever since I was in Middle School around the covid era around that time I was 12 and I'm currently 15 in high school
Hello everyone I am going to start my journey on this intermittent fasting l am dire need to lose I’m currently on heart and blood pressure medication for years hear a lot of good things about this 😊
I’ve done it for almost a year coupled with high intensity exercise once a week, with some mistakes which I did not let myself be bothered. It’s second nature now. I’ve lost 12 lbs . Although it’s not much, but I have never felt more energetic and positive about life and my clothes fit.
@@ballerdict9526 I do it everyday, workout everyday (cardio, resistance, etc), i make healthier choices but I don’t mentally stay away from anything, as time has gone by my cravings are less, I eat less and I feel great.
I still IF because definitely better than eating what I used to eat (breads, pastas, sweets..). Now I eat more fruits, meat, full fat .. anything. My bad habit is snacking. When I don't snack ( on nuts mostly and even fruits) I do see a difference. IF gave me better control of my hunger and cravings overall.
Nothing wrong with bread. Unless you live in the u.s and it’s that stuff that’s stuffed with sugar and god knows what. That stuff barely classes as bread. I make my own flat bread. Very healthy. Zero additives. Much cheaper too.
Started doing an 18-6 fast after wanting to give up sugar as I'm someone who doesn't eat breakfast and snacks later at night so all I really had to do was stop snacking and I would be on an 18-6 fast. I would normally eat lunch just after 12:00 and dinner at 17:00/18:00 so it fell into place. Only been 8 days but I feel so much better as not snacking means I still need some intake so i just drink water and I'm probably drinking just under double the water I was before.
Hi Doctor, recently I was having GERD and I was doing research on GERD I felt like I couldn’t swallow and even a sip of water would bloat me up so I looked into how to reverse it and intermittent fasting came up so I looked it up on you tube. I was swollen my legs looked like an elephants and this had been going on for a longtime but after watching your video I said let me try this even after one day I could feel the difference so I’m on day 5 now and I’m now 263 lbs from 280 and basically I just eat normal I just cut out most of the sugar I drink one cup of coffee a day and I do use my creamer but no sugar. I have GOLO pills that I take 30 minutes before eating and that helps me not to over eat I got a burrito bowl and only ate a quarter of it where’s I used to eat the whole thing. My sugars are normal now I wake up and my sugars are under 120 where they were 150 and up I needed insulin now I just talk the long acting at night. I have an appointment with my primary care physician on Aug 1 and we’re going to talk about this but I’m still going to keep doing this I’m 52 years old and want to live to see my grandkids grow. This is something I’m determined to do for the rest of my life. Why not?
Hi I am doing intermittent fasting too. It has been 3 weeks. I was fine until 4 days ago. Now I am having trouble sleeping, lot of hunger especially after 1000 pm and interrupting my sleep, also going to the bathroom at least 4 times between 1000pm to 0600 am. I just want to sleep and function better
Interestingly, this approach actually mimics the diet habits we followed as children, eating from morning to supper and not snacking after the supper achieved close to an 8/16 ratio. Presently I am type 2 diabetic and my lifestyle has pretty much been snacking in the evening while watching the tube. I am just starting this week and the schedule serves me perfectly. However I have experienced a couple of low sugar events in the evening which I can hopefully work out. Enjoyed the video and congratulations to everyone succeeding at its execution!
I’m doing 16:8. Start at 10 am and done at 6 pm. It’s easy because I never did eat in the evening. I like breakfast (2 eggs, slice of whole wheat toast and tea to finish it off) as soon as I get up at 7 am but make myself wait by distracting myself watching the news on a couple of channels, and watching videos on meals for weight loss, especially different ways to prepare vegies as I do not like them at all. I take a multi vitamin, probiotics and algae oil. These are the three that have kept me healthy. I have apples and like watermelon as snacks. I like all the dairy products but use skimmed milk and grated cheese as a condiment only now. Cut out pasta altogether. I have a stir fry with some brown rice and beans, little chicken, celery and broccoli, pea pods, little olive oil, some low sodium soy sauce and spices and herbs. Going to start a walking routine next. I saw a video that said autophagy is good to get rid of loose skin. Hope it works as I continue on my weight loss journey. Good luck everyone and to believers God bless!
Only on Day 6 but I am sleeping better already and never feel bloated. I also eat between 10 am and 6 pm. I am finding this very easy to stick to and am not hungry. I eat a light breakfast at 10 am of either eggs, or oatmeal or shredded wheat and fruit ( usually berries or grapefruit or orange), a light snack around 2 of a.cheese stick or yogurt or some kind of protein, then dinner by 530 of a protein, salad and / or vegetable. I am not much for whole grains or legumes or beans. I just don't like most of them. If I go out for lunch then I skip breakfast and just have coffee. With this 8 hour meal window, I am able to resist candy, cookies, all that junk. I am hopeful I will lose some weight eating this way. But so far, this is a very good plan for me. Thank you for your informative video!
I'm 50 and have been boing the 8 / 16 fast for a week now. That, combined with giving up booze means the weight is falling off. Feeling better already.
I’ve been on this for 1 week now and I’ve been eating whatever I want for those 8 hrs, Philly cheese steaks, Cajun chicken Alfredo pasta, white claws, tequila etc. and I’ve lost 5lbs already. Just imagine if I actually ate right and cut out alcohol
I’m an experienced “faster” and I do the 20/4 window… I probably wouldn’t recommend that to a beginner as you have to work your body up to that point. I’ve went from 239 Lbs to 194 Lbs and I finally seen my Abs.
What about just adding 10,000steps a day. I am still struggling to get them to 10000. I havnt really lost much. Wondering if steps and intermittent fasting would be kick start weight loss faster. 😊
I’m starting intermittent fasting and I find it easy but exercising not so much. I do have anxiety when out alone but will push passed it to start walking. Buying a backpack for my cat so she can come with me. She is halter and leash trained but doesn’t walk on it much, just lays down and nibbles grass so backpack it is. She weighs eleven pounds so it will be added weight. Hoping it won’t be long before I lose eleven pounds so I won’t notice the extra weight. She helps with the anxiety of being alone so the walks should be more pleasurable once she gets used to the backpack.
Dear Dr. O'Donovan, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to inform you that I have been practicing a 16-hour fasting routine for the past few weeks. I typically have dinner between 6 to 8 PM and consume only water during the fasting period. If I experience acidity around lunchtime, I allow myself to eat 2 figs or a few nuts, otherwise, I stick to water. I have a couple of questions regarding my fasting routine: 1. Caloric Intake: How many calories should I aim to consume during dinner to ensure I meet my nutritional needs? 2. Calorie Calculation: Could you advise me on how to calculate my caloric needs for dinner, taking into account my fasting schedule? I appreciate your guidance on this, as I want to ensure I am maintaining a balanced diet while following this fasting regimen. Thank you for your time.
I eat from 2pm to 8pm. That’s it. Not a bite out of this eating period and I’m rigid, but it’s so easy. I’m never starving or even hungry. I eat what I want although I don’t crave sweets the way I did before IF.
If you do it properly, you won't be hungry or feel the need to snack. You have to 86 the mentality that you're entitled to eat double because you're only eating twice. If you're overweight, you've BEEN eating double already. Also, get rid of junk. It's designed to make you hungry sooner so you eat more.
I have been doing 18:6 for almost a year and is working great for me . All my blood values are normal . My only concern is that if I keep this life style once I hit my target weight of 170 ( currently at 176 ) I will probably keep losing weight , and I don’t want to be under 170 .
To tell you the truth, I could still eat some fattening foods on the 16:8 fasting period and still get great results. I’m still losing weight. My appetite has even decreased. Now I did reduce my sweets but I did not eliminate them. Hell I need a slice of cake, cookie, or donut sometimes in there. I wanted something more realistic. I cut out caloric sodas totally.
Prefer the 18:6 plan personally as I'm just about hungry enough by hour 18. Have done the occasional 36 hour fast which is quite a marathon but you feel great by hour 36
Ive been doing the 17:30/6:30. From 7 pm to 12:30pm. After i enjoyed my lunch. I dont eat anymore between 1pm - 6pm only water and dinner time is between 6pm and 6:45pm
I'm starting today,I'm planning at having a meal at 11am and having water throughout,I'm 123kg😢 and hopefully I'll come back conquers...please bring me back after a week to help track my progress
I want to try the fasting approach and am hoping that the journey will be smooth for me. I appreciate the information in the video and will try to make a video on the same subject, but only after doing some study.
I have been doing the 16:8 for 3 months. I was hoping to lose 5 to 7 pounds. I didn't lose weight, however, my belly is smaller than before. I eat the same food I used to eat everyday. The only change I made to my diet was to eat a fruit for breakfast instead of cereal.
How would you recommend adjusting if you are able to control blood sugar and lower cholesterol but cannot afford to lose any additional weight with a 5 day per week 16:8 schedule?
I'm going to try tis. I don't really diet. I've always just tried to eat somewhat healthy and balanced meals, but it's so much harder at 55 years old. After I started working out 3 days a week I gained about 12lbs; my assumption was because of muscle gain. My body looks pretty good, but the fat around the muscles won't come off and my clothes fit more snug than when I wasn't working out. It's so frustrating. On the weekends I don't eat as healthy or as restrictive and consume a moderate amount of alcohol, but again, this was what I was what I was doing even before I started working out. You'd think with just me working out for an hour 3 times a week it would be better than what it is now. Frustrating. Hopefully, the fasting will jump start something. Thanks for the video and "listening" to my rant.
I was never a big fan of breakfast so all I really had to drop was my cappuccino at 10am. Now 16:8 just feels normal to me. I eat from 12-8pm and I feel great.

How are you getting on
Good luck.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers.
You are great gave me motivation 😃👍
Just reading your comment saying, drink plenty of water 💦 I immediately reached for the water bottle haha, I forget to drink water. 🤷♀️ Thanks for your input.
I love how you indicate cheat days are from gatherings and at work cause it's true.
Plus I would also suggest taking ACV capsules before a high carb feast like Pizza and an oz of dessert to help lower that blood sugar spike by 30%.

How much weight have you lost during this 2 months
14 lbs
Awesome - thanks for commenting this here
I had a similar experience.
I’ve lost about 2kgs since I started.
hello just to ask .. what is your procedure from 2pm to 10 pm?
Nice cat
Works for me, I alternate between 6pm / 10 am as it fits with eating with my children early evening and my job. I am not hungry in the morning, so mid- morning works for me. My stomach fat was visibly reduced in 2 weeks
That is the best timing for my intermittent fasting also. I never eat after six anyway. Mornings I just wait until 10 and distract myself doing other things. Works well.
I have been practicing intermittent fasting for over two months now and bought a pair a pants at my normal size and they were too big! This diet definitely works.

Seems like you lost hope but try again and finish the year with your dream body😊
Thanks for sharing. Stop snacking.

You got this!

Why not?
Right, nothing to lose and everything to gain, except extra weight. You go girl!
I eat from 10am to 6pm thn start my 16hour fasting after 6pm it’s good
Hi I am doing intermittent fasting too.
Thanks

Dear Dr. O'Donovan,
I hope this message finds you well.
I have a couple of questions regarding my fasting routine:
I started today ✌️
10 days ago, I started with 16:8. Starting yesterday, I transitioned to 18:6. I’m down 10 pounds so far.
i'll start tomorrow, got this!🤞🏻
Im doing 16 8 with 2 meals aday 1300 kcals i do 12pm till 8pm so far so good 👍
I’m starting my today 1pm to 9pm, With weight 88.7kg I will come back in a month time fingers cross it works for me
I eat from 2pm to 8pm. That’s it. Not a bite out of this eating period and I’m rigid, but it’s so easy. I’m never starving or even hungry. I eat what I want although I don’t crave sweets the way I did before IF.
De ce de la 14 nu ar trebui de la 12.?
I do 12 to 8pm feels awesome.
Thanks for sharing
If you do it properly, you won't be hungry or feel the need to snack. You have to 86 the mentality that you're entitled to eat double because you're only eating twice. If you're overweight, you've BEEN eating double already. Also, get rid of junk. It's designed to make you hungry sooner so you eat more.
I have been doing 18:6 for almost a year and is working great for me . All my blood values are normal . My only concern is that if I keep this life style once I hit my target weight of 170 ( currently at 176 ) I will probably keep losing weight , and I don’t want to be under 170 .
stop sticking to it then, and only do it maybe once or twice a week
Increase calorie intake if you are and you can do it for as long as you want
Do you do it everyday during those 2 years ?
@@imaneemani1224 no, I usually take a break on weekends specially on Saturdays . If I have no plans I stick to it but it’s rare .
I like a large vindaloo then straight to bed. Then a large fried breakfast as soon as I wake up. Then just light snacks throughout the day 👌
I do 11-7 eating - works well for me
I will start my today wish me luck
Prefer the 18:6 plan personally as I'm just about hungry enough by hour 18.
Have done the occasional 36 hour fast which is quite a marathon but you feel great by hour 36
This is also good for LPR and GERD. Though no coffee and other acidic drinks in the non eating period.
I’m on day 2 of 16:8 and although have cravings feel better allready
M starting from tomorrow for sure ... again
Can I drink water , instant coffee and green tea during FASTING?
I have been doing the 16:8 for 3 months. I was hoping to lose 5 to 7 pounds. I didn't lose weight, however, my belly is smaller than before. I eat the same food I used to eat everyday. The only change I made to my diet was to eat a fruit for breakfast instead of cereal.
Would be much more efficient for weight loss if you broke your fast with a low glycemic breakfast with protein instead of fruit and cereal ….
I am starting today 16.8 with 75 kg weight i will update you after 2 months in sha Allah
How’s it going?
17-7 (2pm-9pm) fast works for me the best.
Nice
How would you recommend adjusting if you are able to control blood sugar and lower cholesterol but cannot afford to lose any additional weight with a 5 day per week 16:8 schedule?
It's my 3rd day of 16:8 Fasting.
18:6 Eat breakfast and lunch and then fast to next breakfast is the easiest.
I usually drink a chamomile tea, with cinnamon, lemon juice and cinnamon. I’m allowed to drink this while I’m in my intermittent fasting?
I was never a big fan of breakfast so all I really had to drop was my cappuccino at 10am. Now 16:8 just feels normal to me. I eat from 12-8pm and I feel great.
