The entire point of Jiraya figuring out the nature of Pain is because of his personal history with Nagato/Yahiko. Without previous knowledge of the way the Rinnegan or the six paths work, how would he able to "quickly figure out" his weakness? The entire point of that fight was that Jiraya had an special connection with his opponent and thus, he had the intel advantage. Itachi is smart, but not omniscient.

Everytime they collab together they don't analyze or go in-debth..... but yes, only reason Jiraiya knew was because he taught Nagato, Konan and Yahiko. Your whole argument is under the premise that Itachi is at death's doorstep. In that case, I agree cause that's blatant downplay. In vs battles, we normally assume both combatants are in-character and prime. You stated the limits of itachi's abilities and then assumed that he will just spam this. Itachi's character is that of a tactical fighter. He is someone that believes that everyone has a set of weaknesses. He constantly demonstrate this. While I'm not saying, intelligence is always the deciding factor cause, of course goku would decimate itachi no diff, however this is a big part in this matchup. The guy figured out Chibaku tensei in less than a minute. You can argue that he had the help of Naruto and Bee, but regardless he figured it out and that's a big deal against nagato Now onto the battle. This is very ironic, you stated that their whole argument is under the premise of Itachi just spamming while doing the same thing to your arguments. Any paths an excessive amount of chakra and Nagato has to focus his chakra on one to utilize it. That's why you don't see very often the paths overwhelming his opponent with spam jutsus, cause he can't. We can even see this when he fought utakata, the paths where using their ability one at the time. Itachi would definitely assess he's situation and determine which of the paths he should prioritise and play he's cards right. Hell, he went to toe-to-toe against Sage Kabuto and there's one particular instance where he could've kill kabuto on the spot but he didn't because otherwise Edo tensei wouldn't have been release. Izanami is also a factor. Most people say that it is only susceptible to opponent that have identity crisis or something when it's not. And yeah he may go after it but I think he'll already be in a deep hole since the first pain he would proabably have to kill is the one that can obsorb ninjutsu. And that would take a while with a lot of the other pains overwhelming him.
Yeah the Naraka Path would have to go first, then given how Deva Path did against Sage Mode Naruto Deva would have to go next, then the Human Path (Soul Eater) or Ashura Path (Chakra Eater), honestly the fight would have to go perfectly for sick! @@greg8258 1. Kotoamatsukami is nerfed because it isn't in Shisui's eye. Just like Kakashi has a handicap of not being able to deactivate his Sharingan, no one can use Kotoamatsukami like Shisui. Itachi can't use the eye more than once, on more than one person, which is why he saved it and programmed it to brainwash who ever is a threat to the Leaf/protect the leaf. If it could be used on more than one person, he would have freed himself and Nagato

Black zetsu stated that the reason why sasuke and the others didn't fall under the tsukuyomi was because of the rinnegan and he used the susanoo to extend his the rinnegan ocular powers to block out the light of the infinite tsukuyomi so anyone close to him at that point would also be immune

He just used his susanoo to extend the rinnegan ability to counter the jutsu. So if naruto were to come out of the susanoo, he wouldn't be protected by sasuke rinnegan again. Why did you think zetsu said his rinnegan can counter the genjutsu?

That is a huge exaggeration, It didn't take years to identify Pain. Also, Itachi went up against Nagato, not the 6 paths of Pain, so there was nothing to "work out" in the first place. And also, Itachi didn't neutralise the weaknesses alone, he needed KCM Naruto and Killer Bee to beat Nagato's chibaku tensei. Stop spewing bs.
Pain stomps. First of all, Kakashi interacted with the Pains and couldn’t tell that they were all connected. Jiraiya only realized they were connected because he recognized the bodies. It wasn’t cause he used intellect. I’m sure Itachi could realize they are all connected, but he would have a harder time than Jiraiya because Jiraiya didn’t even have to think about it. Secondly, Tsukuyomi can not work on Pain or Nagato. He has a rinnegan, which is stronger than a sharingan. No visual genjutsus work on him. This is how Sasuke blocked Madara’s Infinite Tsukuyomi, he had a rinnegan. Third, totsuka blade is not invincible. It has a consistent shape, and it is not fast. If it is a healthy Nagato that is fighting, then he could most likely just dodge it. The two things Itachi pierced with the blade were both immobile. It only hits Nagato in the fight between Killer Bee and Naruto because he literally couldn’t move. It is not invincible.
Even Hinata fought Pain and she didn't see any chakra threads. Lol everyone just forgets that a crippled, edo, controlled Nagato was up against two perfect jinjuurikis and Itachi at the same time.
What are u talking about, pain or Nagato? You're talking about one and then switch up for no reason. Itachi would beat the paths of pain, all he needs to do is take out the King of hell one and blitz all of them. And yes he can blitz all of them, pain arc save mode naruto was able to blitz the DEVA path, or at least catch him off guard and deduce the cool down on his abilities. Summoning so wouldnt work, amatarasu gg. There is no way the human path is doing anything other than be an annoyance, as its main one shot move wouldn't be able to touch Itachi. Absorbing path would get owned, Itachi doesn't need to use ninjutsu to wreck him, as he has exploding shadow clones, he can blitz slice it's head off with a Kunai. Asura path would be trickier, but all it took was one rasengan from sage mode naruto and it was destroyed, so ye gg. Deva path would be a lot of trouble, but as i explained before, the cool down on his abilities would leave him open, and Itachi is way faster than sage mode naruto. Their linked eyesight would be trouble, but Itachi would be able to figure that out, not as fast as jiraiya as jiraiya had fought every one of the paths of pain before, but fast enough that Itachi doesn't get confused and overwhelmed, so I think Itachi wins 7/10 dif. Itachi vs Nagato would be a harder fight, but Itachi would know how to counter all of the Rinnegan abilities, and would be able to destroy chibaku Tensei, especially in Edo, as he can non stop spam his yagatama beads. The soul dragon thing would be too slow to hit Itachi, and while doing that , Nagato is immobilised, which would give Itachi a free chance to use the totsuka blade. And yes Nagato has mastered every nature, but Itachi can block that shit with his yata mirror
xd Manny Bruh, so much bias in your paragraph. You’re acting like Pain has nothing to defend himself with against Itachi. Yata Mirror ain’t permanent. Itachi’s reserves of chakra are abysmal compared to Nagato’s, so Pain would stall against Itachi. Also consider the fact that Deva can Bansho Tenin Itachi right out of his Susanoo, like how Gaara did to Madara but with sand. I agree that Itachi would eventually figure out the shared vision, but by that point he would have spent a substantial amount of chakra. Pain can react to attacks very quickly, thanks to the shared vision anyways. Pain was so quick, that when Jiraiya used his hair needle jutsu, the animal path did all the hand seals to summon the Panda to block the hit. Honestly, the Animal Path could just spam summons to pressure Itachi. Itachi has no way to handle ALL of them, since 3-4 Amaterasus would put him out of commission. I don’t even need to bring up Chaotic Shinra Tensei or Chibaku Tensei, that is an instant win. Only way Itachi could survive Chaotic Shinra Tensei might be Yata Mirror, but like I said, Itachi won’t be able to keep it up forever. Itachi’s biggest threat against Pain is the Totsuka Blade. Many of the paths can go down to it. But Deva Path should be able to Shinra Tensei it, and Animal path can spam summons to take the hit. Also, Pain can fly. He’d just fly high into the sky where Itachi can’t reach him, or he’d chill ontop of the bird summoning with the Preta Path so Itachi can’t do anything. In the case of Nagato, it is an even worse stomp. Itachi only got the jump on Nagato because he was focused on two perfect jinchuriki. Itachi doesn’t have the firepower to blow up a Chibaku Tensei. It literally took a TAILED BEAST BOMB and amped Rasenshuriken alongside Yasaka to break it. And edo don’t have an infinite chakra supply, they just have infinite chakra recovery. So once they expel the amount of chakra they possess, they slowly recover it, like how when their body is broken, it slowly regenerates. Meaning, Itachi would be crushed and sealed by the Chibaku Tensei before being able to break the satellite ( assuming he could). Pain beats Itachi. Nagato stomps Itachi.

Itachi already was proven to know that the Rinnegan were visually linked, remember? Itachi used his Shurikenjutsu to take out every summon of Nagato's from their blind spots because he instantly deduced that they were visually linked based on their positioning to help compensate for Nagato's lack of mobility.
He didn't instantly deduce that. Nagato was already summoning before Itachi was broken from Kabuto's control, and even then Itachi was still watching as Nagato was taking on Naruto and Bee. Itachi had plenty of time to assess how the connected vision works, before he intervened. That said, the connected vision is probably the first thing he'd figure out in a fight with Pain, but that would be well into the combat.

I love itachi but still Nagato would just destroy him. Rinnegan can basically do everything. When Nagato was sealed with Totsuka Blade that's now even an argument, especially because Nagato wasn't even fighting on his own, he was being controled by Kabuto so he couldn't even think on his own. A shinra tensei would simply block the totsuka blade and he could absorve the Amaterasu. And when inside the Chibaku tensei i don't think Itachi would be even capable of summoning the Susano, he couldn't just move. I love both Itachi and Nagato.

Pan Kracy Pain absorbs Amaterasu or deflects it back with Shinra Tensei. Eyes are connected but you see clearly in the Naruto vs Pain battle that even if one of the paths view were blocked the other paths could still see. So Itachi would have to spam strong genjutsu on EVERY single path while being relentlessly attacked. Though they'd have to the capabilities of breaking eachother out of Genjutsu and if one of them is hit by Tsukiyomi then use the Path that restores them.

Pain kinda stomps this battle, I see 0 way any version of Itachi gets out of Chibaku Tensei, meanwhile Itachi’s aces in the hole aren’t really guaranteed wins, if Tsukuyomi works it’s a minimum 6 times to cast assuming the paths can’t get out of it at all, his Susanoo can only seal one away, and if Madara can absorb particle style with the Preta path I’m pretty confident that Pain could do the same to Amaterasu, not to mention even if he can, he could still revive any path hit with it until the Naraka path is taken care of. Itachi is way more intelligent then nagato. If sage mode naruto could beat pains 1 by 1 then itachi definitely could with his susano, similar to what sasuke did to danzo. If pain tries to attack him the yata mirror would block everything. Itachi would beat any of them in a 1v1 fight, but the pains don’t fight fair. Without previous knowledge of the way the Rinnegan or the six paths work, how would he able to "quickly figure out" his weakness? If Jiraiya taught Nagato all those years then he should have an idea how the Paths of Pain worked, but he didn't. In vs battles, we normally assume both combatants are in-character and prime. You stated the limits of itachi's abilities and then assumed that he will just spam this. Itachi's character is that of a tactical fighter. He is someone that believes that everyone has a set of weaknesses. He constantly demonstrate this. While I'm not saying, intelligence is always the deciding factor cause, of course goku would decimate itachi no diff, however this is a big part in this matchup. The guy figured out Chibaku tensei in less than a minute. You can argue that he had the help of Naruto and Bee, but regardless he figured it out and that's a big deal against nagato
Now onto the battle. This is very ironic, you stated that their whole argument is under the premise of Itachi just spamming while doing the same thing to your arguments. Any paths an excessive amount of chakra and Nagato has to focus his chakra on one to utilize it. That's why you don't see very often the paths overwhelming his opponent with spam jutsus, cause he can't. We can even see this when he fought utakata, the paths where using their ability one at the time. Itachi would definitely assess he's situation and determine which of the paths he should prioritise and play he's cards right. Hell, he went to toe-to-toe against Sage Kabuto and there's one particular instance where he could've kill kabuto on the spot but he didn't because otherwise Edo tensei wouldn't have been release. Izanami is also a factor. Most people say that it is only susceptible to opponent that have identity crisis or something when it's not. Even if it is, it'll definitely work on Nagato considering the lore.

1. Kotoamatsukami is nerfed because it isn't in Shisui's eye. Just like Kakashi has a handicap of not being able to deactivate his Sharingan, no one can use Kotoamatsukami like Shisui. Itachi can't use the eye more than once, on more than one person, which is why he saved it and programmed it to brainwash who ever is a threat to the Leaf/protect the leaf. If it could be used on more than one person, he would have freed himself and Nagato

First of all, Kakashi interacted with the Pains and couldn’t tell that they were all connected. Jiraiya only realized they were connected because he recognized the bodies. It wasn’t cause he used intellect. I’m sure Itachi could realize they are all connected, but he would have a harder time than Jiraiya because Jiraiya didn’t even have to think about it.
Secondly, Tsukuyomi can not work on Pain or Nagato. He has a rinnegan, which is stronger than a sharingan. No visual genjutsus work on him. This is how Sasuke blocked Madara’s Infinite Tsukuyomi, he had a rinnegan.
Third, totsuka blade is not invincible. It has a consistent shape, and it is not fast. If it is a healthy Nagato that is fighting, then he could most likely just dodge it. The two things Itachi pierced with the blade were both immobile. It only hits Nagato in the fight between Killer Bee and Naruto because he literally couldn’t move. It is not invincible.

What are u talking about, pain or Nagato? You're talking about one and then switch up for no reason. Itachi would beat the paths of pain, all he needs to do is take out the King of hell one and blitz all of them. And yes he can blitz all of them, pain arc save mode naruto was able to blitz the DEVA path, or at least catch him off guard and deduce the cool down on his abilities. Summoning so wouldnt work, amatarasu gg. There is no way the human path is doing anything other than be an annoyance, as its main one shot move wouldn't be able to touch Itachi. Absorbing path would get owned, Itachi doesn't need to use ninjutsu to wreck him, as he has exploding shadow clones, he can blitz slice it's head off with a Kunai. Asura path would be trickier, but all it took was one rasengan from sage mode naruto and it was destroyed, so ye gg. Deva path would be a lot of trouble, but as i explained before, the cool down on his abilities would leave him open, and Itachi is way faster than sage mode naruto. Their linked eyesight would be trouble, but Itachi would be able to figure that out, not as fast as jiraiya as jiraiya had fought every one of the paths of pain before, but fast enough that Itachi doesn't get confused and overwhelmed, so I think Itachi wins 7/10 dif. Itachi vs Nagato would be a harder fight, but Itachi would know how to counter all of the Rinnegan abilities, and would be able to destroy chibaku Tensei, especially in Edo, as he can non stop spam his yagatama beads. The soul dragon thing would be too slow to hit Itachi, and while doing that , Nagato is immobilised, which would give Itachi a free chance to use the totsuka blade. And yes Nagato has mastered every nature, but Itachi can block that shit with his yata mirror

Yata Mirror ain’t permanent. Itachi’s reserves of chakra are abysmal compared to Nagato’s, so Pain would stall against Itachi. Also consider the fact that Deva can Bansho Tenin Itachi right out of his Susanoo, like how Gaara did to Madara but with sand.
I agree that Itachi would eventually figure out the shared vision, but by that point he would have spent a substantial amount of chakra.
Pain can react to attacks very quickly, thanks to the shared vision anyways. Pain was so quick, that when Jiraiya used his hair needle jutsu, the animal path did all the hand seals to summon the Panda to block the hit.
Honestly, the Animal Path could just spam summons to pressure Itachi. Itachi has no way to handle ALL of them, since 3-4 Amaterasus would put him out of commission.
I don’t even need to bring up Chaotic Shinra Tensei or Chibaku Tensei, that is an instant win. Only way Itachi could survive Chaotic Shinra Tensei might be Yata Mirror, but like I said, Itachi won’t be able to keep it up forever.
Itachi’s biggest threat against Pain is the Totsuka Blade. Many of the paths can go down to it. But Deva Path should be able to Shinra Tensei it, and Animal path can spam summons to take the hit.
Also, Pain can fly. He’d just fly high into the sky where Itachi can’t reach him, or he’d chill ontop of the bird summoning with the Preta Path so Itachi can’t do anything.
In the case of Nagato, it is an even worse stomp. Itachi only got the jump on Nagato because he was focused on two perfect jinchuriki. Itachi doesn’t have the firepower to blow up a Chibaku Tensei. It literally took a TAILED BEAST BOMB and amped Rasenshuriken alongside Yasaka to break it. And edo don’t have an infinite chakra supply, they just have infinite chakra recovery. So once they expel the amount of chakra they possess, they slowly recover it, like how when their body is broken, it slowly regenerates. Meaning, Itachi would be crushed and sealed by the Chibaku Tensei before being able to break the satellite ( assuming he could).

When Nagato was sealed with Totsuka Blade that's now even an argument, especially because Nagato wasn't even fighting on his own, he was being controled by Kabuto so he couldn't even think on his own. A shinra tensei would simply block the totsuka blade and he could absorve the Amaterasu. And when inside the Chibaku tensei i don't think Itachi would be even capable of summoning the Susano, he couldn't just move. I love both Itachi and Nagato.

Pan Kracy Pain absorbs Amaterasu or deflects it back with Shinra Tensei. Eyes are connected but you see clearly in the Naruto vs Pain battle that even if one of the paths view were blocked the other paths could still see. So Itachi would have to spam strong genjutsu on EVERY single path while being relentlessly attacked. Though they'd have to the capabilities of breaking eachother out of Genjutsu and if one of them is hit by Tsukiyomi then use the Path that restores them.
They will NOT all caught in genjutsu. It's the same with Jiraya. He caught 3 of them, but Nagato controlled 3 other at the same time to the location where the bodies lay. They were instantly behind Jiraya when he came out of his own genjutsu.

Pain kinda stomps this battle, I see 0 way any version of Itachi gets out of Chibaku Tensei, meanwhile Itachi’s aces in the hole aren’t really guaranteed wins, if Tsukuyomi works it’s a minimum 6 times to cast assuming the paths can’t get out of it at all, his Susanoo can only seal one away, and if Madara can absorb particle style with the Preta path I’m pretty confident that Pain could do the same to Amaterasu, not to mention even if he can, he could still revive any path hit with it until the Naraka path is taken care of. I just don’t see a way for Itachi to take it.

• he detsoyed the leaf in 5 seconds so he would be able to beat anyone in the akatski easily or anyone in the leaf at the pain are
• could summon 20 animals at once easily could take out the akstski and anyone at the leaf
• special almighty push could push anyone from the series at that time
• planetary devastation easily defeating Itachi or obito or anyone at thet point of the series
• can't die they could bring any of the 6 pains to life if they died
• has a walking weapon which is easily overpowered it's defense isn't that good tho
• has the rinegen
• has sage of 6 paths power he literally a human god who could beat anyone froma akstski or anyone from the shinobi world when he was alive
• has shared vision let's say he has no blind spot
• good at tijutsu was able to keep up with hianta who specialises in tijutsu also base Naruto (pain arc)
•Can dodge easily (when Kakashi tried to hit the ashur path dodged easily we all know kakashi is fast)
• can repell any ninjutsu easily (even the rasenshuriken)
• can abosrove chakra which is not sage chakra

@@narutouchiha3750 Itachi is basically a 1v1 specialist, he honestly probably has a better chance vs Nagato than the paths because at least if it’s possible for him to get Tsukuyomi off or he hits Nagato with the Totsuka blade, he wins, though even then it took a team of KCM1 Naruto, Bee, and Itachi to beat Nagato like that. I don’t think Itachi is tanking a single direct hit from any of Pain’s moves without his susanoo, meanwhile the paths were swapping hands with Jiraiya, Kakashi, and Sage/Nine Tails Naruto. I don’t see any way fro him to take it, even assuming that Itachi figures out every single Rinnegan ability before dying/running out of Mangekyo, which is debatable

Itachi is way more intelligent then nagato. If sage mode naruto could beat pains 1 by 1 then itachi definitely could with his susano, similar to what sasuke did to danzo. If pain tries to attack him the yata mirror would block everything. The only thing he has left is planetary devastation and that takes almost all his chakra n he could blitz with totska blade or use izanagi to win. Itachi is a more versatile fighter than pain
@@peacebeuponus24 The paths have multiple bodies, they can simply have half attack on the Yata mirror side, and half attack the non shielded side, especially with the animal path summons and stuff. Again, the biggest thing Itachi has going for him in this fight is “has a susanoo”, because his other powers aren’t built well for fighting someone like Pain. Itachi would beat any of them in a 1v1 fight, but the pains don’t fight fair. Once either the Asura, Deva, or Animal path break through his susanoo, it’s basically game over, and Pain has almost infinite stamina thanks to the Naraka path, while Itachi is famously dying of ninja cancer

People tend to forget that Pain can actually spam as much as he wants due to his huge chakra, but Itachi can't use that much chakra.
Thats what im saying nagato wasn’t even bothered by itachi. itachi amaterasu’d him, and cut off his arm off and he still wasn’t paying him no attention, he was just completely ignoring him like he was just some pest in the way of his objective, which he then consistently continued to go back to clapping bee and naruto. Itachi realized this and logically waited for openings, but those openings would never exist in 1v1 between the two. 1v1 Blood lusted nagato is a monster, he made a prime hanzo shit himself and run away.

I think Prime nagato would beat itachi more times out of ten then itachi because you have to remember nagato was being directly controlled and he was fighting itachi bee and naruto and doing well. If nagato was fully in his mind and had full mobility i think hed probably mid diff prime itachi.
