I'm in NJ and the struggle to find licensed contractors who can do renovations and repairs is REAL. Reliable labor is hard to come by and building supplies even harder. Much love for your BEAUTIFUL family 💜
Aww when Maya notices she manifested her family.....also Saga is super adorable. and I'm so glad you stopped Max from jumping into that fiber glass pile and it was cool to see what was up in the attic space and also was the sawdust dumped for composting or no? - Also hi from Philly!
Maya, I am laughing so hard listening to you talk about the LACK of service/hospitality here in Sweden! Glad you finally found someone to do the job💪🏽 Fellow Canadian/Torontonian living in Sweden for 6 and half years!
I’m not crying, YOU are!! 🥺 I just love to see your family thrive and manifest all of the good things you could ever ask for! Best of luck with all the renovations! 💜💜

Newly addicted to this channel! The feeling that radiates from you both is palpable through the screen - you can feel the stable love. Can't wait to see what you achieve as a family this year, sky's the limit!
omg I want to experience Max & Maya living 😍 and your pronunciation of Gøteborg was so good Maya! Love from Norway 🌲 and our work ethic is worse lol 😆😩
Maya you and your energy/what you share is a gift from God! Thank you for all that you do and share. You have inspired me to sacrifice alcohol this year. You have reminded and inspired me to thank God every day I wake up. You have inspired me to actively create the life I want to live. Thank you. Cheers and blessings to you and your families year ahead.
In addition to amazing video skills, you are both really good at home renovation!!! This could definitely be a side business for you in addition to renting your house on Airbnb lol.
Life is amazing. It like sometimes you just stop and say I never saw my life like this, but it turned out just perfect. Bumps and all.❤❤❤ I have followed you from almost from the beginning. I am happy for you. You have been an inspiration for me to set goals and follow my dreams. Thank you
I don't know if Maya wants to hear this but please know that this season is so temporary. Don't focus too much on the future because it has a funny way of stealing your present. I'm routing for you guys. Max, patience, kindness and understanding always please(I'm sure you're doing all the above anyway ❣️).
This is great! I am really looking forward to seeing the transformation along the way! I am super curious to know- where was your bedroom? And where will your bedroom be after the renovations?
And that trick Jackie still hanging on!! I’ve been watching you for years and just the growth and life and prosperity!! Love that for you maya and your beautiful family ♥️
Can't wait to see more of the renovation and the final result! We would love to rent your home some day, we live in DK only a ferry ride away from Göteborg. I can relate so much to what Maya says about the lack of hospitality and service at hotels, restaurants etc 😂to me this counts for most of Scandinavia, although the people in general are so hospitable and kind!
Wasn’t the bedroom upstairs? I thought. And no sink in the kitchen! No wonder you were excited in your IG stories when you showed the one in Ikea lol. These renos are exciting because it’s nice to see you meet your goal!
There is a building material shortage and it's hard to find builders everywhere. It's in every place I've seen anyone doing building work. People discovered that they wanted more space or a better house when all the lockdowns started. Supply chain problems also haven't helped. The 2009 housing bubble also had the effect in Europe that lots of people left the building trade and never went back creating a shortage of workers.
Yeah and we have great understanding and respect for that however what we can't understand is the communication and transparency that its been lacking. We haven't been able to get a honest response throughout this whole process..
@@MaxMayaLiving super frustrating indeed. Could it be cultural? In the Netherlands were I live people are extremely blunt, no sugar coating anything. It takes some time to get used to.
I also have been struggling with contractors for renovations I have been needing for a while. One guy said he was stepping out to get his ladder and then never came back.
Oh to the contractors, listen when you fine a good, you best hold his information for future things, can't wait to see the updates, will you be adding another bedroom/s?
So exciting! Re: contractors it has been hard even here in Ontario (quite a few areas are experiencing the same) to find ones who will come out or even return a call 🤷🏽♀️. We are going through the same thing! Also, question about watching Alice In Wonderland at 3am on Christmas? 😅 Just curious! ☺️
So you know the feeling! At 3pm every Christmas eve in Sweden we watch "Kalle Anka och hans vänner". Its a montage of disney specials where families gather at the tv and watch :)
Everything takes forever! I live in Brooklyn we started construction on our house in September and they JUST finished it's January. Any date they tell you just add on another month or 2. Sorry. I do hope it's different for you though
We are actually planning to share that in our videos but it never made the cuts. Saga means a long story of heroic achievement, especially a medieval prose narrative old norse (Scandinavia). Our life is an ongoing story we thought Saga repreent that in whole
Not even four minutes in, but, man, you guys might be better tearing down the house and rebuilding with all that you're doing... maybe stay with the in-laws in the meantime. I know Max is handy. Where the heck you guys do your dishes if you don't have a sink? Didn't realize you guys moved in that long ago... doesn't seem like it, but time flies of course! Anyhow, have to continue watching.
Finding a good, solid and easy to work with contractor is difficult worldwide unfortunately, they all spin on their heads promising they can do an above/beyond job then spend all day doing something that should take two hours tops; I have many painful stories of my own renovation. I hope all goes well, remember to be present at all times during the renovation and scrutinize the work as it is being done, there is nothing like having to pay for a costly mistake.
@@MaxMayaLiving I love seeing you all doing well, thriving, favor & many blessings coming to your family in 2022 and beyond....all my best and looking forward to the future videos!
Learn about building maintenance before you make a modern building out of an old swedish cottage. Glass walls.. 😪 Dead mice, you learn about them when you are a child. Sometimes I think this is just for fun. Two teens renovating and destroying a house.
Happy New Year Maya, Max and Saga 🎉. I wish you all a great renovation journey. Can't wait to see what the After looks like. I think because of the limited access to home building materials, mostly due to shipping supply chain delays, many contractors are not able to complete or start projects. This started since 2020 because its what happened to us when we had a house fire in Feb 2020, followed by shut down of borders and imports in Mar 2020 due to the pandemic, all while waiting for our contractor to finish the remodeling. It took a little over 5 months for our contractor to "complete" the house (regutted entire wood frames, walls and interior fixtures). Our contractor stated he could have completed our house in 3 months if there was no pandemic. We also had to wait several months to get our appliances and furniture delivered. The sofa was the longest wait (from Interior Define) and it took same amount of time to get our sofa delivered as it took to get our home completed. It was both an exciting and stressful journey during the home remodeling phase but boy we we're glad to be back home. I wish you and your family a peaceful journey during this new renovation transition. It's so nice to see families make their houses a HOME🏠. ☺️
Happy new year!! We are starting the new year with something we have been waiting for a LONG TIME! How are you all starting your new year?! 💕
