  • Certainly lighting up a dull day, Loram Rail Liveried 37418 is seen with inspection saloon 'Caroline' on the Central Wales line. In what I call the 'KFC' livery I chased the 37 along the route. Working from Crewe to Llanwrtyd Wells (2Z01)
Starting at Craven Arms from which the Marches joins the HofW the train is seen stopping to take a token for the next block to Knighton. A hop over the border into Wales we then capture the train traversing the impressive Knucklas Viaduct, from which the loco stopped to allow passengers a view..
We then captured the train at Llandridnod Wells from where the train was regulated to allow a passenger train to pass.. at this point I checked RealTimeTrains to discover there had been a path for the train to carry on to Llandovery.. this meant id be able to get another viaduct in!
Seen heading towards Llandovery, past the shortest station on the UK network, Sugar Loaf. This was before a short hop to another Viaduct, Cynghordy on its return trip. This time as 2Z02 Llandovery - Shrewsbury.
Finally we capture the train at Penybont, with the 37 giving it some thrash up the grade away from Llandridnod.
I hope you enjoy the footage as much as I did making it!
