- The Audi 1.8 Turbocharged engine is now completely supported by the Micra's chassis. In this episode I finish up the engine mounts enough for them to work and trial fit the engine fitting process.

Yesterday I watched your “should you delete” video purely because I’m doing the deletes on my jetta 1.8t and now I’m excited to see this build. Good stuff!
Looking good sir! Don't let us down, make sure you finish this project. Quite exciting!
Full steam ahead, until I run out of money ofc ;)

Excellent progress 👌👌
Looking nice Cannot wait for the next video.😊
Thank you!
yes finaly
I put de same engine in a nissan tsuru (mexico) or sunny , sentra in other places and its funny to drive it 👍😬
Also welded captive nuts might be a good idea for some hard to reach mounting points or parts that have to be dismantled often.
Yeah I forgot to weld the rear one in. I'll do it when it comes out again.
Turn you wire feed down a slight touch, looking good 👌🏽
Can't wait till this one flies
I know it might make installation a bit more difficult, you might look into using a stud on the front hole on the engine side. A shorter (if clearance is an issue) stud still provides the same clamping force, whereas a nut relieved to the point you had to in order to clear the through bolt, doesn't- and the position of the bolt hole (being inline with the rotational axis of the mount) would necessitate it being the strongest attachment point (to prevent a lever action on the rest of the mount, via being hung on just the rearmost bolt).
Just my .02, I could be wrong, it's happened before.
I agree on the stud, the only problem is that the captive nut would still stop me from getting a nut on the stud. I still have some finishing work to do in these so I'll have a play around with it. Using a stud instead of a bolt is the way forward though I think 👍
I really should not watch Your material, otherwise I’ll start modifying my daughter’s Micra also😁
great work and planning 👍
Thank you 🤝
I also have the equation veriant and i installed an interior boot light but doesnt work and also is the electric windows/parcel shelf speakers and other bits you done plug and play thanks

OMG Dude, why'd you choose THAT engine??? Haven't you got access to Google???
Better than that. I have access to Google AND people who daily drive these engines.
Google is so last year.
@cgten What you mean to say is 'daily worry and repair' these engines, right? How's that 17mm to 19 mm gudgeon pin conversion going for ya? Or that contiunuously ssssstretching, rrrrrrrattlting timong chain? Or those leaky camshaft actuator seals and sump-gasket.? Wait, there's more: The warping thermostat housing, the warping oil filter housing...puuuhhhlease, that thing is a hot mess. @@cgten
I put the engine in there, I'm sure I can keep it running. What engine should I have picked then?
@@almostbutnotentirelyunreas166 Those are all just generic service items that would need attention on most engines. What is your actual point?
