Ethan's emotion wheel reminds me of Word Webs (or a word cluster). In one of my books, it's a writing exercise where you clear your head and write words or situations that are making you feel off. Then, you have a center word called the Word Nucleus that connects all those things together, helping you internalize it and think, "Oh, so that's why I'm feeling this way." :3
20:53 no but legitimately a high brainleak episode would go so unbelievably hard lmao, i mean ik jack doesn't do the weed, but they could have ethan and a guest high and have jack keep things steady lol (i believe ethan mentioned on an episode he does smoke on occasion)
Awesome to see you guys having fun together! Also just fyi you probably should keep saying what you’re doing because some people listening are probably blind/visually impaired so I’m sure that can be helpful :)
To ethan: A lot of people who workout regularly (or rigorously, like you were during your boxing training) get those kind of calf or foot cramps when they wake up, often its because you don't have enough magnesium in your system. Not always, but sometimes! :) hope that helps!
lol I remember that Scott Pilgrim situation Seán was talking about. It was in a discord call during his Valorant days and the people involved were Ryan Higa and Edison Park.

sean mentioned it on the sad boys podcast too, the impersonator definitely asked if you were gay bc you answered you were the one riding, a pretty common gay euphemism lmaoo
Fun Fact. I have a waterbed. It is over a decade old and I only had to recently replace the bladder (mattress). It is definitely for a solo sleeper otherwise if one of you is a mover, you're both in for a ride. But, it's heated and has a thermometer on the side that you can set as warm as you want it (very useful in the Winter).
My ADHD brain is so pleased with this, ive been laughing so much on this episode. Its just so comforting to see the madness lives in other peoples heads too 😹🖤

51:12 So, fun fact: you can get hit by lightning through your faucet. This is relevant to this timestamp because it recently happened to me and all I got was a massive calf cramp. That muscle would NOT relax for days. Incredible pain. Hospital gave me morphine and fentanyl, neither touched it. Felt like a charlie horse on Max, like you're describing.
I ALSO HAVE AN EMOTIONS WHEEL I'm autistic and also have alexathymia because I feel emotion physically and focus on that more than the emotion itself AND I'VE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE ELSE HAVE A PHYSICAL WHEEL!!! Waow, my brain is very leaky now, thank you
So, I've been through a few sleep studies, and here's the general vibe: So, you start by waiting several months for a single appointment to be available. They attach a bunch of wires and stuff to your head so they can track your brain activity (it has a special adhesive or something like that so it doesn't tear your hair out) and they leave the room and have you go to sleep in an incredibly uncomfortable "bed" overnight, but you get woken up every hour or so and they measure some shit and then leave for you to sleep for another hour, and then you get woken up at like 4am and sent home. Oh yeah, and if you have someone else who's driving you around, then they have to sleep upright in one of those chairs for guests in the hospital room so then you're uncomfortable, tired because you barely got any real sleep, and you feel bad for putting your loved one through that. and then they send you an email that basically says "you're sleep is fucked up lol" and you go "why" and they go "give us 200 more dollars and we'll do another sleep study! maybe we'll figure it out then!" and then they don't. i hate sleep studies they suck and never even lead to any diagnosis for me!
Ethan's experiences with his allergy make me feel SO seen with mine 🥺 I also have a peanut allergy (also tree nuts) and we've had so many similar experiences and feelings about how they're handled by others It's so much to deal with! Hunger Games fan here, and yes, Peeta does camoflauge in the book, he was in an alliance with the elite 'Career' tributes before then but they fatally wounded him. His only chance of surviving was camoflauging by a river and hoping for the best. He was there for like 2 days and was nearly unconscious by the time Katniss found him. Even then by the end of those games he was inches from death and had blood poisioning so bad he needed a prosthetic leg (in the book). The first film is the goofiest one tbh, the ones after it are better and WAY more accurate to the book. Also I can't tell you how appalled I am that you guys don't care for the films, I watch them all like once a year. Whatever about cups of tea and all that, the films aren't mid your taste is. But fr, I'd recommend giving it a decent shot since the movies came out like 10 years ago, you might get a new impression of them if you sat down to watch them again, idk. When I did some years back it was WAY darker and heavier than I remembered it being. (2020 context kinda changes things too). As a kid I only got into the series because my mind was basically "Pretty lady with bow" but it's like actually intriguing and tragic. -Spare the love triangle
51:09 - Ethan if you're alright drinking a little dlll pickle juice or taking magnesium that will get rid of your night charlie horses. Don't take a lot because some people get the poops from too much. I had really severe muscle cramps where I'd yell and/or cry because they wouldn't go away. (I have Lupus and it was a symptom. My parents and friends have tried it and it does help a lot.). 1:29:36 - I had two therapists get me to do the emotion wheel. I have a copy on my phone. They said I feel too much all at once and basically over stim. (I have ADHD too).

Ethan's emotion wheel reminds me of Word Webs (or a word cluster). In one of my books, it's a writing exercise where you clear your head and write words or situations that are making you feel off.
Then, you have a center word called the Word Nucleus that connects all those things together, helping you internalize it and think, "Oh, so that's why I'm feeling this way."
:3
I normally just listen on Spotify but I watched today since it’s on UA-cam. You guys just crack me upppp with your randomness. Keep it up!
Same here. I normally listen while im doing housework/sorting out the pets but decided to watch today. I was not disappointed haha
20:53 no but legitimately a high brainleak episode would go so unbelievably hard lmao, i mean ik jack doesn't do the weed, but they could have ethan and a guest high and have jack keep things steady lol (i believe ethan mentioned on an episode he does smoke on occasion)
i love these guys' ads. they're so fun to watch and i don't care if they're advertising things to me through them, i accept it
Awesome to see you guys having fun together! Also just fyi you probably should keep saying what you’re doing because some people listening are probably blind/visually impaired so I’m sure that can be helpful :)
Yay!! I look forward to these guys banter every week I dont even like podcasts guess ima leaker now tho
1:06:40 when they punch the air at the same time in the same direction lmao I cackled
42:52 Sean’s tummy sticking out was adorable
To ethan: A lot of people who workout regularly (or rigorously, like you were during your boxing training) get those kind of calf or foot cramps when they wake up, often its because you don't have enough magnesium in your system. Not always, but sometimes! :) hope that helps!
I’m so happy that Sean and Ethan are doing this episode in person! so excited and awesome!
This is the most neurodivergent podcast in existence
no literally I think that’s why I love it so much 😭
lol I remember that Scott Pilgrim situation Seán was talking about. It was in a discord call during his Valorant days and the people involved were Ryan Higa and Edison Park.
Real talk for a sec about wild fires
I'm in Montreal and we're having a rough, smokey summer. It's hard to watch our northern communities suffering. I can't leave the house because of my asthma so you both are keeping me company and sane 🥹🥹 thank you!!!!
1:29:18 yooo, i use that exact same feelings wheel at work!
sean mentioned it on the sad boys podcast too, the impersonator definitely asked if you were gay bc you answered you were the one riding, a pretty common gay euphemism lmaoo
Fun Fact. I have a waterbed. It is over a decade old and I only had to recently replace the bladder (mattress). It is definitely for a solo sleeper otherwise if one of you is a mover, you're both in for a ride. But, it's heated and has a thermometer on the side that you can set as warm as you want it (very useful in the Winter).
what if you had two single beds next to each other, would it resolve the problem?
The chaotic energy is as high as ever and I'm loving it
Sean’s impression of Ethan is so good that without watching I actually got confused who was talking
1:32:16 THE LEAKAGE WAS SYNCED!!!!!!!
My ADHD brain is so pleased with this, ive been laughing so much on this episode. Its just so comforting to see the madness lives in other peoples heads too 😹🖤
my nana passed away this morning, but this episode helps make everything better. ty
when they suggested a live band i was like “I VOLUNTEER” and then they were like “its so expensive” and as ethan was saying not if you don’t pay them i said “i’d do it for free” lmao
real
Also, Father Ted is HILARIOUS. love it
51:12 So, fun fact: you can get hit by lightning through your faucet. This is relevant to this timestamp because it recently happened to me and all I got was a massive calf cramp. That muscle would NOT relax for days. Incredible pain. Hospital gave me morphine and fentanyl, neither touched it. Felt like a charlie horse on Max, like you're describing.
1:06:36
BRO WHAT IS THAT SYNCED PUNCH?! 😂
Waow, my brain is very leaky now, thank you
I have never heard of that condition (?) before so i've learned something new today. Thank you x
So, I've been through a few sleep studies, and here's the general vibe:
So, you start by waiting several months for a single appointment to be available.
A sleepover episode but Ethan and Seán just sleeping in realtime
I sighed in geek when he said "like batman or batman punisher" instead of the obvious Nightwing. But then I membered, it's sean sorry sêàn 😂
yoooo ethan reppin ma boy julien
just found out about the podcast yesterday, loving your streams of consciousness!
YES!!!! I AM SO EXCITED
I'm hyperventilating at the mouse advice. Such a solid and truthful podcast
Ethan's experiences with his allergy make me feel SO seen with mine 🥺
I also have a peanut allergy (also tree nuts) and we've had so many similar experiences and feelings about how they're handled by others
It's so much to deal with! I literally take hours of my time before going on vacation to find restaurants that won't delete me
This chaos is so much better when they're in the same room!
I lost one of my two 13yo cats a couple months ago to cancer, and he had such a similar personality to BB and basically looked exactly the same but with blonde fur. So I always love hearing about BB or seeing him, especially now. Some cats like my Kiptyn and BB are just such special souls. ❤ would love a podcast with a BB cam and a Spencer cam!
Just found this podcast I didn't know you guys were creating something together. What an unexpected gift! I laughed out loud so many times. Lovely ep, boys!
Seán and Ethan should do that thing where you lay in water in pure darkness and not able to hear anything, it’s like your senses have been turned off. Idk, I saw a TikTok about it recently and it seems cool to see what their thoughts and reactions would be.
I think that's called floating in a sensory deprivation tank... Ethan did that with Mark on Unus Annus... It would be cool to see Seán floating in one...
@Ysalomet Oh right I didn't know that Ethan already did it, I guess he could be there for support or if he wanted to do it again? Thank you for reminding me of the name! :)
