- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- This week on an all new Brain Leak, Sean and Ethan kick things off with a particularly LEAKY conversation…like, very leaky - no fluid left un-leaked! Next, it’s a harsh pivot to a very real, very important conversation about love. Finally, the boys re-pivot to discuss their Halloween costumes and which scary movies are, in fact, the scariest.

Just a heads up for Ethan - the reason they won’t make an actual Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria is because Scott Cawthon worries that there would be someone who would try to recreate the murders in the series
really?!
Really? I thought it's because it would be too expensive to make animatronics and basically open up a pizzeria
@@NatWasTakenAgainespecially with the kind of money they’d get back from doing anything like that, a real location wouldn’t be very much to them. hell, the fnaf movie is literally guaranteed to make their money back, to the point they have a deal for multiple movies from the second it hit blumhouse. not to mention, jim henson company already made amazing animatronic puppets, and since fnaf is meant to resemble old chuck e. cheese types, they really aren’t that expensive anymore for that type of
…which is probably true
Legit someone would try cause we can't have nice things
Interesting that me and Sean have the same feelings about Paranormal activity and Exorcist 1. Only 2 movies that i watched where I couldn’t sleep because it touched on fears i’ve always had as a kid
Its you oh my
jay is a leaker
that’s so real cuz i’ve watched the first three a million times but the third one was actually terrifying
THAT DUDE is a leaker?!
JAY U A LEAKER NO WAY
I love when Ethan has an idea just beamed into his cranium bc he always makes the same face •0•
holds his head
@@marthmallow7420that’s literally him 😂
Lol I read your comment as I got to their discussion about the 3D printer and he makes the face at around 56:54 😂
Ethan has to dress up as Ken for Halloween. He's got the look!
Sean fresh out the shower is giving white Jesus 😂😂
He became Water Jesus himself 💧✝
Jesus is white tf
@@TheFriendshipOnion hypothetically if Jesus did exist, whats lead you to believe she's white? 😂
@@TheFriendshipOnion if Jesus was white, he wouldn't be. He'd be red like a lobster in that climate 💀
@@TheFriendshipOnion hes middle east also with that weather he would be 50 shades darker than any white person in this world
hello to whoever sees this :) i hope you have a good day
I hope you did too :)
You too :)
You too :)
You too!!
It's 3AM on my end, but you too all the same😊
The haunting of hill house, while not a movie, did really cool stuff with jump scared in that they had scared laced through out the environment but didn’t always draw your attention. There are shots of ghosts EVERYWHERE in that show and some are more obvious than others but when you catch them- the fact that they are just hidden in plain sight is super effective, and it has you looking at every shadow you can see throughout the show. Super effective imo
i liked hill house a lot but bly manor was way more effective for me. the first time i was watching hill house for some reason i just couldn’t follow it? but that type of horror i love
Yes! Also they break your ability to predict the scares because so often the scary thing in the background doesn't end up doing anything. It's so well done
@@takeherthemoon ooo I’ll have to watch that one next!! Just in time for Halloween :)
Sending positive vibes to BB, we just lost our 11years old cat to liver issues. It's rough when our babies are sick!
Shoutout to everyone named Jamie that panics whenever Ethan or Sean asks you to ‘put it up on screen,’ you’re doing great
Sending good wishes to Bebe! Hope his condition regulates soon!
BB*
Y’all. Mickey Mouse literally cannot be a bare knuckle boxer. His gloves are surgically sewn to his hands. It was legally mandated after the Playhouse Slaughter incident. Bare knuckle Mickey was too strong for society’s safety, they had to permanently glove him.
For everyone's information, Mickey is very clearly a magic user. Forget fighting bare fisted, he's got magical keyblades, giant paint brushes that spew paint and paint thinner and the Sorcerer's hat! Magic is Mickey's power of choice.
I would LOVE to see Hank Green on this show.
Can’t wait to hear him tell us about him shitting himself.
I used to work as a caricature artist at Knotts Scary Farm and on slow nights, the monsters would try to impress me with their best tricks and scares. It was quite the blast! haha Imagine sharing nachos with monster clowns and cowboys in the break room
Ethan's topic of, "Self Love", is extremely relevant for this decade. Especially when we consider enduring the COVID-19 PANDEMIC. I am one of those that feel the same way as Ethan.
Bro… I opened a fortune cookie and it said “our first love and last love is self-love” and immediately Ethan started talking about him and his therapist and self-love… kinda trippy
Related to BB being a talker, I have a husky and he goes to a daycare to get energy out pretty frequently and when he first started going the workers asked me if I talk to him a lot because he would look at them while they talked to him like he was listening and I guess that isn't normal. I had no idea I just thought that was a normal thing but I also do talk to him all day long. Lol
For me the animatronics don’t look scary because there’s no texture flaws (aka they look too clean) and they look like people in suits, which just makes me think of Godzilla
41:10 sean was pretty close to the rotten tomatoes score! 30% tomatometer, 87% audience
I have never been so happy and thankful for an episode! My day have been so terrible and I just wanted to go home and sleep, until now! Thank you I really needed this❤
I am having a horrific period so I have been leaking SO MUCH I will absolutely contribute to this research.
as a nurse, when people have feeding tubes, some can still eat as well, just not enough to stay healthy so they’re given additional nutrients via the tube :) also i’ve never heard a throat feeding tube be referred to as a stoma, a stoma to me is the poop bag 😅
I absolutely love that these videos get posted during my night owl hours. I actually get excited when I get the notification at 2am. I get something too do whilst the world (around me) sleeps
I'm pretty new to horror, but I'd say my favourite horror movie goes to the original Evil Dead. It starts campy at first, but that film gets scarier the longer it runs. This was the first film I saw that actually made undead and demons (which I'm so used to in fantasy games) genuinely unnerving and creepy.
As someone who does not watch a surplus of horror movies, I can say that I know when scares are coming, I can tell when there’s going to be a real scare after a fake one. However, I jump anyway because that’s how I react to sudden sounds. It doesn’t matter if I know it’s coming or not. A dark room and a sudden loud noise makes me jump. I’m not dumb, I’m just jumpy.
28:25 I think that has already happened multiple times. The Ring and The Grudge had a crossover movie. It was called 'Sadako vs. Kayako'. It came out in 2016. It was ridiculous. 🤣😂
That jump scare in Exorcist 3 seriously scarred me. I worked in a hospital and I was always thinking of that scene in the back of my mind.
Im so glad bb is doing better at least💙💚
These men make me willing to listen to ad reads but the amount that their ad read comments and tone become vocal stims for me is driving my roommates nuts
im so excited to see the fnaf costumes on the 27th, im gonna dress up as the desk fan
im going as monty :)
ethan, on the question of self love- it can be very helpful to start by seeing yourself as neutral, neither good or bad, it can help turn into a self appreciation
As a speech therapist, i got excited hearing them talk about the stomas. PS. people with stomas can see eat through their mouth! Varies for each person. Stoma is the voice box that has a hole in it and theres a tunnel made between the walls of the trachea and esophagus.
My favourite horror movies (though I must admit I haven't watched many) are the Scream movies 1-4 and The Sixth Sense. Scream because it's like a cult classic and I love how meta it gets, and Sixth Sense just because that ending was such a twist that I never saw coming but that instilled such a feeling in me that I can't help but love it!
Sean talking about only being able to watch the exorcist in Spanish.... Nord VPN's got you covered right?
I have a feeding tube, and that hole with the tube in it is also called a stoma. Love how you two will bring up anything/everything.
I think my views of myself are very similar when talking about personal positive attributes that aren’t connected to helping others. I’m spending a lot of my therapy time talking about how I have a hard time viewing myself as an independent human, rather than only existing to help others. It’s definitely an adjustment!
I can never choose one specific horror movie, so here's my list: Child's Play franchise, Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, Monster House, It (2017), It Chapter Two (2019), Sleepy Hollow (Tim Burton), Sweeney Todd (Tim Burton), and, hopefully, Five Nights at Freddy's
Ok, I realize the boys just googling things would not be interesting content. But it still really makes me happy when they do take a moment to look up some of the questions they have or some of the information they just aren't certain about repeating. Helps educate people and prevent spreading of either misinformation or some sillier urban legends. It creates balance between the episodes that seem to kill of brain cells and the ones that build some knowledge.
The scene Sean talks about from The Exorcist 3 lives in my head rent-free. I saw that movie for the first time as a kid (I think on accident but I don’t remember) and even after 20 years I still remember the exact shot. He didn’t even need to describe it, when he said “there’s one scene” I thought of that one IMMEDIATELY. I finally saw it again as an adult a few years ago, and despite knowing it was coming it still unsettled me.
A scene that always gives me the heeby-jeebies though is in the episode of the original Scooby Doo with the mummy that turns people into statues. The “Coin! Coin!” line still freaks me out every time LOL.
By far the scariest movie and the best horror movie that I’ve seen is Smile. I think it’s because I have this fear of people not believing me and seeing things that aren’t there. Not to mention it’s creepy, it’s psychological, it’s kind of paranormal, it’s genuinely messed up and disturbing. It’s everything that I love in horror movies, but it’s also too disturbing to watch alone personally. It’s also the only horror movie that I watched in theaters twice.
I think I'm most excited to see Matthew Lillard in the FNAF movie than any cameo that could be in it and as William Afton to boot. And hey, if it's bad bad and not funny bad at least we have Willy's Wonderland still there as another to turn to.
Just thought id comment again saying how sick it would be for Sean and Ethan to do a Warhammer painting video. Could put in some fun ideas like roulette colour schemes, could be a real good time
57:20 ELEGOO (the 3D printer company) comes from electronic (representing the open-source electronic aspect of the brand) and googol (10 to the 100th power, referring to the huge amount of structural models that can be generated by 3D printers).
I love how much of this podcast is one of them going "is that like this thing" and the others like "idk what that thing is"
I think no matter what I think I'll enjoy the FNAF movie. Two of my fave actors are in it and I'm super excited to see it regardless :)) I think Matt and Josh will be great.
I'd consider myself a die-hard fan but I definitely want it to be R-Rated. I definitely want the gritty, brutal-ness of what I've always envisioned from FNAF. :))
16:45 thank you guys SO much for talking about self love. Thank you so much for bringing that up, Ethan ❤ I’m 34 and struggle with this, always have, but got worse after getting diagnosed with fibromyalgia. It’s pretty hard to love yourself when your body is constantly attacking itself lmao
19:27 😰 wtf I didn’t know that avp actor did that?! Lort. Poor cat!
Anyways, thank you both for keeping it real, but also keeping it funny! Keep kicking ass! ❤
got here at midnight. this pod keeps me insane.
I have a 14 year old diabetic cat so I totally relate to BB’s issues. My cat had a hypoglycemic seizure last year and had to wear one of those glucose monitors also. We went through a bunch of similar tests and stuff after his seizure. It’s terrifying. Sending best wishes to BB from Biskit!
Edit to add that my cat is also VERY vocal
I feel so sad for you and evelien and Diabeebus, i cant imagine my cats being gone for 5 days poor baby! Also one of my cats is incredibly vocal, like Beeb, and the other cat often looks confused by it 😅 but its definitely because we be talking to them all the time
I can always sense the jumpscare coming but still get scared lol I’m like okay now it’s coming and then scream like an idiot
Sean’s hair is simply majestic ✨
I think only the oldest version of Mickey will become public domain, cause each updated one is technically a different version of Mickey? And Disney put that oldest version of Mickey as one of the intros to all their movies (whistling steam boat Mickey), so I think I heard they're trying to get around the public domain thing via that. I think I saw that in a film theory video?
Also very glad to hear BB is doing better, that's so stressful to go through. It's really sweet to hear how attentive and caring you and Evelyn are to him, and I hope he continues to get better!
Lewis was also Half Sack on SOA!! As soon as Sean started telling the story, I knew who he was talking about!!
It's leakin time
These videos come out right as I'm eating breakfast, which is nice. But man was it unfortunate timing to be munching on my PB and J sandwich, right as they talk about all the different fluids a body can leak.
So farting is just microdosing shitting yourself?
It's fun to hear that Sean has joined the world of minis. Once you start though, there's no going back, it's like slipping into a greased rabbit hole lol
im also straight up watching for matthew lillard not only the nostalgia
edited this 3 times bc im typing this on 1 hour of sleep and accidentally said "straight up watching matthew lillard" but then also accidentally then corrected it to "straight up watching matthew for lillard'
leaker and proud. leaking all over rn actually!
Ok, but why did Ethan's solo ad for NordVPN have major "I'm in someone's basement again and I can't get out" vibes to it???? Blink once if you're okay or blink twice if you need help, Ethan 😭😭😭😭
The slider is Fryboy!! He's great, he still slides too, people thankfully have calmed wayway down
"Divorced 40 year olds..." I feel called out lmao
My grandma had a throat stoma and can confirm that she was able to eat through her mouth 😊
Period Pants is going to be the name of my new alt goth punk band
Pretty sure Disney making Mickey Mouse, specifically Steamboat Willie, their opening logo on new movies keeps him out of public domain forever.
me, looking at all of the various horror movie posters on my wall: i think i might enjoy this one
I really like hearing other people talking about horror, because it's one thing that lights up my life more than anything else. Hereditary is amazing, and Seán is correct, the first three Paranormal Activity movies are amazing. Evelyn and I also have the same favorite horror movie 🙌🏻
Listening to Sean vent his frustration with resin 3d printers makes my heart happy
I'm autistic and I can't imagine feeling emotional love for myself. I exist within myself, I don't need to love myself. That's like me telling people to say sweet things to their fingernails. Why? They don't require it. I don't need to romance myself, I certainly have never felt 'love' emotion for my own being. I exist and I enjoy existing, I don't need to feel love for that. I have good qualities and bad just like everyone else.
hayden christensen’s next film: darth vader going to town on twenty dudes
I have gastroparesis and a port in my chest! The port is for my POTS treatments right now. The nutritional bags are called LPN and can give you all the calories you need IV!
If my gastriparesis gets to the point where I can't eat, I can get my nutrition through my port and avoid feeding tubes!
a better translation for Vader would be Father, daddy would be papa
... my notification sound is just a sound bite of Ghostface saying "what's your favorite scary movie?" XP
17:14 i see what you did there, sean. wonderful reference to my favorite news interview of all time
So a throat stoma (aka tracheotomy) only cuts into the trachea, which is the tube that leads down to the lungs. You would get a tracheotomy if there is some damage to the trachea (typically from smoking) and have trouble getting enough air. The tube that goes down to the stomach is called the esophagus is not cut and still allows for food to pass, so eating and drinking goes on like normal shortly after surgery!
I STAND WITH SEAN- Those first 3 Paranormal activities are great. Mostly the first one, saw it in theatre and I was MESSED UP for weeks. Also alll the things I was terrified of growing up.
35:15 I mean jumpscares are often pretty predictable in most horror movies but I'm jumpy as all hell so even though I know it's coming I still always jump😭😭😭 knowing it's coming doesn't make it less scary for me
My favourite horror films are typically psychological so for me it's between Rosemary's Baby and Perfect Blue, the latter didn't have any jumpscares that I can remember, but I loved its imagery and tension, plus, it completely subverted my expectations and had me laying awake at night thinking about the story and its ending (I know some call it a thriller but it's still my favourite regardless.) For a lot of the same reasons I really enjoy Smile and Jordan Peele's films (Get Out, Us, Nope) because I feel they're all a good mix of social commentary and terrifying. Honestly, anything that reflects reality is the thing that gets my skin crawling the absolute most.
Honorable mention goes to Coraline for being my first scary movie and setting the bar for the type of horror I prefer today.
I adore 'The Thing'. I got so excited when Sean mentioned it!!!!
sean sounds like he is prepping for retirement with all his miniature hobby investments
i watched paranormal activity for the first time in middle school and it scared me so bad i couldnt sleep for days and was scared of the dark and i was so embarrassed it scared me so bad because objectively its not even that great of a movie lmao.
my favorite scary movies though are the shining and the scream movies
added for bb's diabetes. im a diabetic and have neuropathy issues as well and take medicine for it daily and im only 22. diabetes sucks for sure, i also had a 15 year old cat that was diabetic and his legs were first to go when the neuropathy started to catch up to him. im glad bb has you guys taking such good care of him
The first time I saw the Exorcist III jumpscare was in some show with people narrating over it so it disappointed me that I didn't get to see it for the first time in silence. Still an incredible jumpscare though. I've watched it over and over and I still love it.
Petition for an episode or segment where leakers submit our health issues and the lads try to either pronounce them or guess what they are by name 😂
39:16 i love what you guys say about the fnaf movie here! it's so true
Eyo we leaking at 3am bois! Hi Eef Hi Sean :D have a leaktastic day
Aww poor BB. sending love ❤️ it’s really stressful when pets are sick and you don’t know why. my cat got a rare skin infection that we couldn’t figure out how to treat, turns out it’s a rare bacteria but that’s only a guess based on symptoms cause all of the cultures they took grew nothing. He’s doing so much better now but it’s scary!!!
the dino dna joke reminded me of what my mom and stepdad dressed as for halloween when i was a kid
mom wore a t-rex costume and my stepdad had hoops around him with 6 little balls on the hoops. together they were carbon dating.
Johnny Lewis also played Half Sack in Sons of Anarchy. Great podcast guys ❤❤ Ethan can't wait for your documentary
I could hear Sean and Ethan talk about horror movies forever haha
mark better go to the theater on opening and when freddy comes onscreen shout IS THAT THE BITE OF 87?
24:03 Sean you’re talking about Fryboy and technically he works for Hershey Park not Knotsberry BUT he does still post and work there every year,
he’s currently been posting from the horror nights 2023 and he’s still going strong
50:14 Somewhere out there, a fanfic exists where this exact scenario happens, probably.
A word on public domain! Winnie the Pooh - the BOOK Pooh - went into the public domain. HOWEVER! Disney has its own previous licensed version of the character, so Disney’s copyright timer starts with the first appearance of their Winnie the Pooh. For Mickey Mouse, specifically it’s Steamboat Willie that goes into the public domain, NOT the Mickey we know now (though his time is coming up soon). So creators will have to be careful to distinguish that the Pooh or Willie they’re using is specifically the Pooh without the red shirt or a black and white Mickey. You also can’t use any aspects of the characters/stories that are still copyright protected - there was an entire Sherlock Holmes case about this since the books were published at different times, so the public domain dates were staggered. As far as Mickey goes, Disney most likely will protect him as a trademark instead of a copyrighted character. Trademarks, as long as they’re in use, NEVER expire since it’s about brand familiarity. They probably already have Mickey as a registered trademark. Anyways, time to wait for CA bar exam results. Have fun with this info. XD
matpat: how many times in your life have you soaked?
ethan and sean: how many times in your life have you LEAKED?
8:00 Ethan you're thinking of a trach lol a stoma is usually referred to a piece of your intestine being opened to your skin to be able to excrete waste into a bag like colostomy. Usually someone who is getting nutrition from a bag has a peg tube or NG tube
Sean talking abput his cat getting diabetes reminded me of when my cat got diabetes about 2 years ago. i got home from school cause i wasn't feeling well, and after having a nap i heard something weird in my sisters room. and when i went into her room to see wth was going on i saw Åke (my cat) having a seizure in the corner of her room. i called my stepdad in a panic while holding Åke trying to calm him down, i was bawling and Åke was hyperventilating. my stepdad hurried home and took him to the vet and we found out he got diabetes and we had to give him away cause we couldnt give him 2 shots daily. im not sure if they gave him away or put him down since my mom lied ab giving away our old cat but i hope hes doing alright and i miss him every time i see a black and chubby cat. (sorry for the vent)
We did a family costume of Shaun of the Dead a few years ago, but almost no one knew who we were. My husband was Shaun and he tied the tie on his head halfway through the night, just like the movie. Everyone would pass him and say, "Hangover?" Ugh. Look around people! There's a chubby woman wearing a Got Wood? shirt and a zombie checkout clerk with a hole in her stomach! I worked hard on that! I even had my 10 year old dressed like David. But Hangover. Ugh.
They were going to a horror multi-verse with the Universal Monsters, but Tom Cruises The Mummy bombed so bad that they decided to not do it. So now they are giving them their own land in universals epic universe theme park in Orlando. Also you talk about Halloween Horror Nights which I used to be a scare actor at but thr Orlando one! Have fun!
it’s cause tom cruise is a terrible actor.
9:50 So I had something that went into my throat for a while that went into my esophagus, I had a tube for my intestines (I couldn't swallow food and my stomach wasn't keeping anything down or digesting) so the food I needed would go into my intestines through the tube. Idk if that's the case for everyone but it's my experience.
Hey Sean and Ethan - first off I hope I bump into you one day so I can loudly announce in public that I'm a leaker - secondly, watching this episode while working and I HAD to comment because I'm also a cat owner who was told by the vets that my cats are oddly vocal.
I was told that if you talk to your cats a lot or just generally talk a lot around them, they meow more and make more sounds purely because they have chatterbox owners 🤣 Sounds about right! Hope little BB is doing well xx
On the topic of good horror jumpscares, the best one I have ever seen was in The Haunting of Hill House netflix series. If you've seen it, you know which one I'm talking about. It's the kind that literally no one sees coming, and you don't realize the buildup is present until subsequent rewatches. It's relevant to the plot, and pants-shittingly startling. All around a masterclass of jumpscare artistry.
My favourite ‘horror’ is more a horror-comedy and that is An American Werewolf in London (1981). Still the best transformation ever on the big or small screen and the effects were so good it made the Oscar’s open a category for best makeup / practical effects for which Rick Baker (effects artist) won the first award.
