    Meredith, thank you for your patience. I've always exercised but when I lost one of my sisters I gave up, but sciatica made me start again. Your instructions are easy and relaxing 🤗

    I have had such sciatica pain and seaching through youtube there are so many that say relief from sciatica is seconds. None of them helped. These stretches helped! Thank you soooo much!

    I don't like to consider myself a "senior", but these exercises really helped me out this morning after an awful night of sciatica pain from my degenerative discs

    Hello Meredith. I discovered your videos a few days ago. These lower back/sciatic stretches are helping me a lot....even more than the stretches I received from PT. Have had this problem for years. Now that I'm older (73) I just want to be able to keep moving as I continue to age. I am also enjoying your strength training videos. Thank you so much!

    Thank you for your exercise. I had two sciatic exercises and I found them so relaxed. Please tell me what kind of chair do you use? I found I kept slipping from my chair.

    I needed this after slightly wrenching my low back this afternoon. Couldn't do the bridges, but just stood up and sat back down instead. Plus, cold packs alternating with hot packs before doing the video. Really helpful - thank you! Have a good week ahead! 🌟👏🫶

    Thank you. For 5 days I could barely walk due to most likely the priformis muscle. I havent been able to sleep. I have been searchibg and doing all these exercises that werent workingz The worst was they had to be done on the floor. Getting off the floor was excruciating. Then I found your chair exercises. I did them this morning first time. Pain gone almost completely. I have done them twice today so far and I can walk and sit and get up without screaming . Thank you. I have this problem about twice a year for the last four years. I will continue to do these. Excited that you added the strength ones too. I even tried actually PT tgru my insurance and it made things worse. Thank you so much

    Very happy I found you. I am 76 and have been in real pain for the last 3 weeks. Went to chiro and your workout routine is a great adjunct to chiro. I cannot afford to go every other day to him. So you are my answer. Feel better already.

    67 years old. Went for xrays 2 days ago because of sciatica pain that only went as far as my knee. While waiting for results, it got even worse last night! (Didn't think that was possible). After doing these stretches, pain has already decreased 50%! I couldn't even do the last exercise because I need a chair without arms, but thank you so much! I've been wanting "senior" exercises, so I subscribed to your channel.

    I did the exercises for the second time & got worse afterwards. ( I have Stenosis L4.L5.S1) SO, definately won't do again. I really like your workouts in spite of dealing with stage 4 OsteoArthritis of the hips & double hip replacements indicated.( I had an accident 5yrs.ago)

    I'm praying these stretches work for me. I was in the ER Saturday because of a sciatica attack and all they did was give me muscle relaxers and pain meds. I wanted an answer as to why this keeps happening.

      @@SeniorFitnessWithMeredith - still working on low back/sciatic pain. I am scheduled for vacation on 6/25/23 for a road trip. May have to cancel if pain doesn't subside. Seeing doctor next week. I do get some relief with these stretches.

    I tried the modified bridges again, like last time and get bad spasms in my front, stomach area. Did I do it wrong? Or am I just out of shape? Probably both! 🙄
    I stopped and just stood up and sat down-- at least I was doing something. Plus, the stretching after that helped the spasms calm down. I really enjoy doing your videos.... Thank you again. You're the best! 🌟

      I am sorry you are getting spasms while doing that move. I would eliminate those until you feel a bit stronger in the core area. If it keeps up, it just might be a move that is not the best for you. But keep up the others that feel good! Keep me posted! Take care!

      I appreciate your reply and advice. I'm definitely a work in progress. I actually was amazed I was able for the first time to do the maneuver. Been working on core strength recently - so I know I'll get there. I'll be careful- don't want to throw my back or hip out.     I’m going to start these excercises straight away I’m in so much pain at back of hip to knee I’m 77years old and an mri scan has shown a narrowing of my spinal cord causing an impingement so fingers crossed 😊

    Can these be done with a severe deterioration of the lower 3 discs in between the vertebrae ?

      Always get clearance from your doctor, then proceed. Also, always only do movements that feel best for you, remembering the body changes throughout the day so it is never the same. Be gentle on yourself!

      You can do this multiple times a day, to get the stretches in. Also picking a favorite couple of stretches that feel best and do those through the day.

      Hi! I have not addressed lumbar spinal stenosis specifically. What is safe is to only do what feels best for you, and strengthening the core to protect the spine. Remember that always when you do your exercises. I will possibly add that to a list of workouts to create, I like it! Thank you and remember I am here for you!
