You don’t need to go far north, to do a road trip in Sweden. Skåne is Sweden's most southern province, easy to reach from Germany and Denmark. And it’s region Österlen has it all: Snow White beaches, the azure blue ocean, rolling hills, cute villages and a catching history. Enjoy the road trip in Sweden's south and visit its most amazing places with me!
- Travel to Åhus, a pretty little town and the home of Absolut Vodka. You can visit the famous distillery in Åhus!
- Ride over the Hills of Brosarp - the most scenic road of the area!
- Visit Kivik, the apple kingdom of Sweden and its cute harbor
- Do a detour on the small countryside roads between fields and rolling hills and visit Glimmingehus, the best reserved stronghold of the country!
- Probably the whitest sand in all of Sweden: Sandhammaren Beach is a must visit!
- One of the highlighst of the region: The mystical stone circle Ales Stenar and its amazing view on the Baltic Sea
- Don't miss out on the town Ystad!
- Spend at least a night in Skanör, a beuatiful village on the ocean with an amazing beach

Oh dear, I live approx half way between the two towns and to say that there is a keen rivalry between them is putting it mildly. In one fell swoop you have managed to insult the 50,000+ residents of the two towns. Lucky you don't have 1M+ subscribers or this would be the front page news in the local papers! 😀

Stunning is the word, beautiful presentation as always and some lovely beaches, no swimming?, will be waiting for the news next time. Our trip into the Yorkshire Dales was blessed with gorgeous weather and cracking roads to ride, some new and some we always enjoy revisiting, will be a while before our next trip as a hernia repair is required. You went through "my roads" going south from Stockholm. Quite nice to get another perspective, although there were only glimpses over that stretch of road. As me and my bike (a 750cc Kawa) have a 10:th year "anniversary" this season I´ve thought about doing Österlen. Time will tell how that goes...
Yes it was only a glimpse - we were running out of time a little and had to take the highway to Karlskrona in the afternoon. But the ride in the morning was super nice (it once started to rain pretty heavy though - that’s why I didn’t record that much... 😅)
You are quite fearless with that drone Lea, but it looks like your gamble has paid off with some stunning aerial video.
Fearless... I just trust the technology. Now that I already made so many nice videos with it I am as well not so scared to lose it anymore. But I was actually thinking about carrying a spare drone if I go on a long journey again, just in case I do so. 😅

You picked a great time of the year for the trip there. EDIT: If you want to even better understand why Kivik is a proper Apple kingdom, then you should visit the Äppelmarknaden (there won't be any this year 2021).

Wow! you really managed to capture the essence of the outstanding natural beauty of the area and I always feel so relaxed and chilled after each episode, thanks! To my surprise (ignorance) I thought that you are German, not Swiss, so you also live in a beautiful country.
I am German! So you are right. And I have an apartment in Munich and pay my taxes in Germany, which I guess makes me super German. But I spent the pandemic in Switzerland so that was the place I as well returned to.
