Watched the original video on how to setup my a6000 and it saved me tons of time. Now that I’ve upgraded my camera this video is super helpful, and helped me understand all the new features. Keep putting out great info
bought my a6500 yesterday, I must say this video is a must watch if you are shifting from Nikon or Canon to Sony, there is a learning curve in sony, Thanks a lot
You are still good in my book and you are the best (short and sweet tutorial) I didn't use A6500 much but you helped me to set my camera which is ready to go. I am planning to use my A6500 in my trip to Zurich and Jungfraujoch this summer. Would you view BISWAS STREET PHOTOGRAPHY # 8 in UA-cam and comment on it. Your feed back will be valuable one because you are THE CAMER GUY. Thanks you very much
Thanks, very helpful. Your comments about setting up the Sony to be familiar to a Canon shooter hit home. I'm a Sony noob here, I am so used to my 40D as I've had it since the day it was launched, shot three plus years of a Photo a Day project way back when. I was out this evening trying to get a sunset with the a6500 and spent minutes fumbling around trying to find the bracket function the trying to figure out how to set it. Decided I needed a bit more familiarization with the menu and the setup.
that1cameraguy it's lighting fast, that buffer is great. Haven't had good weather yet to test out the AF. I plan to mate it with a Canon 100-400 II via MC11 for a lighter birding rig. Hope it works okay. I was using a Canon 7D2, but wanted something lighter and better DR. Have you tested the 6500 with any longer lenses? Does AF work well enough for Bird photography?
I just don't do any wildlife photography (I should try it out). My subject matter are humans that move around. The MC-11 works really well for adapting lenses. I think performance in AF-S is decent. With AF-C my experience has not been stellar. I've used the Sony 70-300 as well as the 70-200 GM with 1.4x. I've done a couple videos on my channel about that but with human subjects.
that1cameraguy yeah that's what I'm afraid of. The Sony bodies are not fast enough to keep up with flying birds. My A7RII was okay for stationary birds, but failed miserably at tracking them in-flight. Was hoping the 6500 would do better and got it for the extra reach with cropped sensor. Too bad Sony doesn't have any native E-mount glass for Bird photography. Guess I'll keep the 7D2 for that purpose.
Honestly, that's the reason why I'm still holding onto my Canon gear. If I ever get the 2x teleconverter, I'll try it on the 70-200 GM, but that's a pricey lens. With native lenses the a6300/a6500 is really good. However, adapting lenses is not going to be the way to go.
Nice Vid. The S&Q setting you were wondering about is very important for video shooters. The 24fps or 30fps setting selection should match the frame rate you are using to shoot your video and in which you are editing. It basically affects playback speed and allows the camera to inform the edit software to know the intended playback speed. Basically if you are editing a 24fps video and you shoot 120 fps, the video will play 5x slower - 120/24=5x slower playback. If working in a 30 fps project 120/30=4x slower playback.
Ani Kabillio thanks. But you can still change this in your edit program? And does settings this ‘correct’ on camera allow you to see the slow motion in camera when playing back?
@@ithurt3748 10 months ago... But I'll still answer for people looking for an answer. The idea of S&Q is entirely different from the normal shooting mode. When you record 120 FPS normally through the Manual Exposure Program Setting, the video will be saved as a 1080p120 real-time playback video. Which you can then slow down in Post-production. This is good for reviewing footage and quickly seeing what you are getting in real time playback speed. What S&Q does differently is that it takes the same 1080p120 footage and saves it onto the card as a 24 or 30 fps video. This gives you the ability to review footage directly in camera at the selected speed, in slow motion. This is especially beneficial in post-production, as you don't have to slow down every clip you import before its ready for usage. Which in turn speeds up your editing, when you want to use everything in slow motion anyway. And depending on software it is also easier on your computer's hardware. S&Q is only enabled when you choose it in the same menu as Manual Exposure. Movie/S&Q Motion> scroll down below manual exposure, and you will find a few different S&Q Modes. Hope it helps!
Shilly no problem! Also another thing. It Stands for Slow & Quick. Which makes sense. Besides shooting slow-motion (overcranking). You can also shoot at slower framerates like 21/14 or even things like 1 fps. This is called: undercranking. This can be useful In situations where you want to express confusion, fast action or even drug impacts on your character. A feature Used in many feature films. For example Madmax Fury Road used undercranking (Around 21 fps) to speed up action scenes and make the action seem faster. I would personally recommend to film things normally and undercrank in post. But in any case! It is a pretty neat thing to know about ✌️
Thanks for my discovery of your videos, they are very much informative. Although your reference camera is Sony a6500 I've been referring yours to my Sony a7r...and it works. Sample image relative to settings helps me a lot.....
Exactly what I needed! Thanks you so much. The never ending menu options have had my head spinning, so it was great to have a good starting point. Your presentation was great. Thanks again!
Thanks cameraguy, I finally got my camera working correctly in the movie mode because of your comprehensive explanation of the settings! Now I don't have to make another trip back to the dreaded Best Buy.
Very thorough and in depth step by step setting guide video. I use many of your recommendations on my Sony a6500. The video was a very useful and informative. Nice work "that1cameraguy" Thank you sir. I appreciate it. Cheers!
It did. Thank you. I do have a question. I'm new to videography and this is my first time using a Sony A6500 with the 25mm Batis f2. I notice everytime I press the record button it crops in a little bit more. Is that normal? Also, I thought as soon as I put on the FE lens to an E-mount camera it should already have the 1.5x crop factor? Please help me understand that. Thank you in advance!
Thank you so much for this that1cameraguy and あけまして おめでとう ございます! (Happy New Year!). I was just introduced to photography recently and bought this new Sony A6500, whilst on holiday in Kyoto. I don't have many lenses to go with it (only 2 of the 3 Zeiss Batis lenses), but I want to learn to use the camera to take competent photos. I have already asked Michael the Maven about his crash course, but while I wait this demonstration is superb for me. At least now, I will no longer need to point, hold the shutter down and "pray." Again, thank you, I really need this. Leo McDonald | レオ マクドナルド
Thanks for your time in making this video. I, too, just got my camera and your hitting the highlights of the setup functions was perfect -- especially since Sony isn't providing a hardcopy guide and I find the PDF really, really annoying!
yes, i got mine 5 weeks ago. after one week i sold my canon 70d. I loved that canon camera, and i even prefer the canon colors but the sony is a beast. unbelievable what they put into this small body.
We are going to use it for image films and corporate films for social media and websites, and even for vlogging. I will also use it as a private film-camera for action sports like kitesurfing an skiing, travel and family films. I just wish there was a native sony lense like my sigma 18-35.
Im looking at getting a sigma adaptor for my Art Lens but other than that I might invest in some G glass. As I shoot mainly video I'm looking into some old japan lenses as well. In Australia, Sony has a group called SONYX where they actually give really good support for Sony Users and discounts on all sony products including their lenses, Some even $300-$400 off. Another reason I went Sony because of the ability to get discounts on their lenses and the support. They also do Road Shows around Australia and invite members to come bring their camera and test all their lenses as well. You've been a a6000 user for a while now but coming from canon how did you find the transition? Did you keep your glass?
I still have my Canon DSLR's, although I have sold a few off. I still have a good number of EF glass. I adapt my Sigma lenses though. The only reason why I can't fully transition is that Sony just doesn't cut it at the low-light sports like a DSLR will. I would like a full-frame e-mount (not a99ii) that can shoot low light sports. I think once that camera rolls around, the Canon gear might go.
Very nice video, i just got my a6500. But as Maximilian, i would like if you explained the points more, as well. :-) Other than that, great video. Btw, you a6000 custom settings guide, even though it was late it came - it was still very useful.
I'm a little confused with the touch panel options. I have mine set to Touch Panel + Pad. I'm using a 14mm AF Rokinon lens. When I tap the screen to focus, I'm getting a little finger icon at the top of the screen and then it says Focus Cancel at the bottom of the screen and it's not focusing.
Need a video on how to setup the fast and slow motion, and what is best the M dials or the C buttons or FN , little confused on that. Please post video soon, Thank you
Thanks a lot for your very informative video. I am new to the Sony mirrorless system and have found some of your tips very useful, especially the one about leaving "Live View Display" on. I could not work out why I wasn't seeing the real time exposure before pressing the shutter. I also come from the Canon system, which I still own, and I find it helpful that you refer to it in your video. I am not sure yet if I will ever change system but for the moment using them both is working well for me. Cheers!
Hi again, thanks for your reply. Yes I am adapting my lenses but I got the Sony-Zeiss 16-70mm f4. I wanted to get a native lens to see the full potential of the camera but that lens has some serious distortion and chromatic aberration, although it's a good enough lens. I am a pro photographer and mostly do concerts, landscapes, architecture and some events. I have realized about some great advantages of the Sony mirrorles system compared to my Canon DSLRs (5D MK3 & 6D) namely the silent shutter, the spot and highlight metering (only found on the 1DX series) the AF, the DR, the tilting screen, the EVF and some others. Not that I'm still convinced I will switch to Sony overnight but let's say I'm in a transition zone. Thanks again for your very informative videos Cheers!
Yeah, I know that feeling. That odd transition zone. I want to sell off my Canon gear, but I just can't. I think it could happen in the next generation of camera bodies from Sony for me. We'll see.
I feel the same way actually. If the next body after the A7R2 has dual card slots, different RAW file sizes, and is more responsive I think I will be switching for sure. I just got the a6500 to see if the system was good enough for my uses, I also tried for a couple of days an A7R2 and was very impressed. Happy New Year by the way!
I just got my brand new Sony A6500 with a 16-70mm F/4 Zeiss and it's one of the most incredible cameras I've ever used. Actually, I shot a complete wedding with it, and I'm amazed with the results. Coming from Nikon (D750, D810, D850, D500) I think this little marvel makes a superb job, specially on the focus, silent shooting and speed areas. And now, my next toys will be the Sony A7iii with the 24-105mm F/4 and the 55mm F1.8 and I will finally will say good bye to Nikon. Thank you so very much for this video, it was tremendously helpful.
that1cameraguy im planning on buying external monitor. Any suggestions? I experience that focus peaking on this cam is horrible. Will an external monitor have its own focus peaking mode? Have never owned an external screen.
This is exactly what I needed, thanks for putting this video together. I just got my a6500 to pair with my A7RII. The menues are different between the two cameras? Anyway looking forward to shooting with the a6500. I was a Canon guy for 10 years and made the jump to Sony last year.
Please Help At 6:30 in your video you have those center markers in the middle of the screen How do I make them show on my camera?? I have both those setting to on that you said will give me those markers Thanks John
I appreciate you taking the time to make this video. Can I suggest though that you change the title to add words such as "Best custom settings for Studio Video shoots" or something that tells what custom setting you are setting this camera up for? This is like the fourth video I have watched trying to find settings for PHOTOGRAPHY, only to waste time watching a video about how to use a stills camera for VIDEO. I understand a lot of people use these cameras for video and that is fine, but they are primarily a STILL photography camera and it would be helpful if you indicated in the tile that you are using it for VIDEO and not for actual still photography. It is also important that you use the word "STUDIO" in the title so that we know that you are talking about shooting in a controlled environment, so that people like me that shoot exclusively in an outdoor natural setting do not waste time watching a video about shooting in the perfect studio setting. Not being critical of the video here, which I think is great. I am just suggesting some title changes which might help people know exatly what you are talking about, so they don't have to watch the whole video to find out. Thanks again.
I just got before Christmass a new sony a6500. I like to share my video of expédition and trail, I want to share my fishing trip and take some nice souvenir of my kid, my dog and my family...And I like bird and take them on picture!
UPDATE: if you setup the slow motion on the M2 button you are most likely not getting good results for slow motion, and what I mean by that is if you go to view the slow motion on your camera you will not be able to . If you import the slow motion into final cut x pro you will not have the slow motion embedded into your movie which means you have to do more editing in Final Cut Pro and Premiere as they work both the same. If you just use the S & Q settings using the movie icon this is when you get the slow motion you thought you were getting as it plays back in final cut x and Premiere in slow motion without having to do any editing and rendering so using the CUSTOM M setup was a disaster for me on my shoot as the customer could not see the slow motion and when I had to add it back I had to use the optical flow which again is more editing. If you want slow motion the way that I thought it was going to be than you have to use the S and Q settings I also noticed the movies play incredibly smooth as they are using the QuickTime codec and not the H24 linear PM codec that the camera uses setting up the M button for manual slow, BE CAREFUL as you can cause yourself one hell of headache trying to figure this out. If you need the NLE and the Audio of the slow motion than that is when you want to use the M function slow motion and than add the slow motion back using either Premiere or final cut , hope this helps some body.
Great review, straight to the point. Could I get some help?. I just got my a6500, I do not have any Sony e-mount lens, I am using A-mount lens using the LA-EA4 A-Mount adapter. I touch the screen and the focus do not work. Do you think is because I am using an adapter? Or something is wrong with the camera? Thanks
Great video - And I followed along and adapted most of your suggestions. However... I NEVER heard the most important setting info that I initially needed to find! How do I change/turn-off the instant "image preview" that appears after shooting a still image, instead of a live view? It is so annoying not to see the action in front of you immediately as you would with a DSLR. Thank you, as I cannot find this info anywhere for the 6500.
Thank you for this video, but I have one question, in the video there's an F5.6 how I can change it I have this cam with sigma 16 1/4, and I use the cam for stream
Nice, very helpful video. I'm still on the fence about whether to buy the d500 or the a6500. I have the a6000 and d750 now. Do you think the limitations of the touch screen can be improved with new firmware in the a6500?
I believe the touch screen is similar to the Sony a5100. They might have just used the same tech inside of that one and put it on the a6500. I'm doubtful. Is touchscreen big for you? How do you plan to use it?
I'm new to Sony and considered the A9, but it seems the A6500 may have more capability WRT videos and even the buffer...than the A9. I think Sony will release an A9S for video and perhaps fix the buffer with the addition of two great XQDs. But for now, I'm considering the 6500 and just wanted to thank you for this presentation. Very nice work!
Thanks so much for your tutorials! I just got a brand new a6500, and I film plays in small theaters in LA and there a lot of blue, violet, and red lights I am always dealing with. I tried profiles 6 and 4 and those settings seemed to flatten the colors (which could be good for post), but I am wondering if anyone knows the best picture profile settings to film live plays/concerts with changing colored lights that will be broadcast on HD tv's only and that need little adjustments in post are? Thanks
I just got a comica mic and when I did a test to see if it was any different from the in body mic sound I did not notice a difference. Did I have to change some camera settings to get it to work properly?
Hey @that1cameraguy ?:maybe you can help me out.. is there any i can approach either the menu or the Fn menu trow customized buttons for insistence, set my menu to be the play button or the trash button? thanks
Thank you for the question. There are two versions of the smallrig cage. The first generation a6300 smallrig cage gives you access to the battery/memory compartment but it blocks C1 & C2. The second gen a6300 smallrig cage blocks the battery/memory compartment and the C1&C2 buttons. Hope that helps. Did you recently pick up a Sony a6500?
+that1cameraguy Thanks for your quick response! I just bought a SMLRIG for my a6300 and really loving it. I am planning to buy a A6500 soon and was just wondering about the rig compatibility. The price of the rig is really good right now and was planning to buy another one for the a6500. Thanks again!. More power to your channel and Mabuhay. Maraming salamat!
Mabuhay, my Tagalog is not very good. Smallrig is actually making one or the a6500 and you can pre-order it at a good price from their website. You may want to check it out.
Thanks for another great vid. I have a question that maybe you can help me with. In movie mode, I have the shutter speed assign to the rear dial and the aperture to the top wheel. Is there any way to lock the rear dial and prevent it to change the shutter speed by accident? I know I can flip the functions and have the dial assign to aperture and SS to the top wheel, but it seems like a waste of such a great button as I wont be changing SS often for video... Cheers
Great video! little cuestion... I've turned AF Area Auto Clear ON but still can't see the little green squares, it continues with the big white one, do you've idea why?? Thanks a lot!
Another great video, thanks. I'm finding that I can't really improve on the jpegs that this camera produces by shooting raw and then editing. Am I not using a good enough raw converter or are the jpeg files just so good that they can barely be improved?
Very very nice!!! I have exactly the same camera! But I would like to make a video tutorial on setting up the camera for shooting video! It is a 6500! Oche detailed video - it would be great! Thanks for this video! It is for S-Log3 !!!
Hi ! You talk in the applications list about the setting for unlimited movie time, but I cannot find anything like that in the menu. Could you please tell me how, it was precisely that what I was looking for all this time...Thanks !

Absolutely brilliant saves me reading the manual thank you
Nice. You're welcome. Although the manual can still be helpful for the few awkward settings.
Thank you so much for this video! Just got a new 6500 and brand new to the entire Sony system and this saved me, thanks!
Glad it was helpful.
WONDERFUL DETAILED EXPLANATION ABOUT CAMERA, YOU ARE THE BEST. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I WISH YOU GOOD LUCK. THANK YOU

Wow, I love this. Thanks. When you just start with this camera this is very good to follow because there so many options.
That was my hope. Glad it helped.
Good work with this video! I used to work with canon DSLR and it's my first time with Sony and I feel a slightly lost but you video help me. ;) THX!
I'm glad it helped you out. :)
Wonderful thanks for this, just got my 6500 this was exactly what I needed. Subscribed. Keep up the great work!
Great, glad this helped.
Thanks for your detailed narration and your effort
just bought the A6500 and used this video to setup my menu options. thanks!

Good job man. This helped me out a lot!

+Andy Tran since it's the a6500 it already has that crop 1.5x. yes it's normal for it to crop in a little when recording 4k
hmm, Thank you. I guess the 25mm is a little too close for a crop sensor. Vlogging just won't work if it only fits my face. -_-
+Andy Tran yeah, I have to use the Sony 10-18 when vlogging with the a6xx series cameras
At least now, I will no longer need to point, hold the shutter down and "pray."
Again, thank you, I really need this.

That's awesome :) Glad it helped you out.
Haha! I was expecting such a prompt reply. What a guy!!!
Thanks again.
Haha! I wasn't expecting such a prompt reply. What a guy!!!
Thanks again.
Wow! This was so helpful! Keep the great video's coming...
Glad it was helpful. Thanks.
Wow. thanks man for putting up this video, your such a big help. please continue to enlighten lazy people like us :) your the best!
Thanks for your time in making this video. I, too, just got my camera and your hitting the highlights of the setup functions was perfect -- especially since Sony isn't providing a hardcopy guide and I find the PDF really, really annoying!
you rock thank you! just bougght my camera a few days ago and this set up was perfect
Hey! great video as always! 2 questions. 1. Would you back button focus the a6500? 2. how do you set up back button focus to the AF/MF button?
Also, how do you access the zoom & clear image zoom. they are greyed out with my 55 - 120
Thank you for the work you put into this. great job dude.
You're welcome. Did you recently get an a6500?
yes, i got mine 5 weeks ago. after one week i sold my canon 70d. I loved that canon camera, and i even prefer the canon colors but the sony is a beast. unbelievable what they put into this small body.
That's the big thing about Sony. Their able to pack so much into it. What type of projects/work do you plan to use the a6500? Video/Photos?
We are going to use it for image films and corporate films for social
media and websites, and even for vlogging. I will also use it as a
private film-camera for action sports like kitesurfing an skiing, travel
and family films. I just wish there was a native sony lense like my
sigma 18-35.
Is it possible to setup the same exact custom buttons for movie or photo mode like the a6400?
Thanks very much for this video. As a new Sony a6500 user this helped a lot.
Glad it helped you out. How are you enjoying the a6500?
Coming from a 60D its amazing. Still learning the in and outs of it and also playing around with Luts. All in all great camera with a few quirks.
Nice. Are you adapting your old Canon glass or are you going all Sony lenses.
I think once that camera rolls around, the Canon gear might go.
thanks for the video. I like your pacing. Also nice that you are a canon user so what you say makes sense
It is not an easy task to create a dedicated video on camera settings for a camera like A6500. Big applause for your work. Thank you.
Very nice video, i just got my a6500. But as Maximilian, i would like if you explained the points more, as well. :-)
Other than that, great video.
Thanks man. This video is helpful.
Need a video on how to setup the fast and slow motion, and what is best the M dials or the C buttons or FN , little confused on that. Please post video soon, Thank you
I set the internal recording to 120fps. I do the slow motion in a video editing program.
Cheers!
I'm glad this was helpful to you. Are you adapting your glass?
Thanks again for your very informative videos
Cheers!
Yeah, I know that feeling. That odd transition zone. I want to sell off my Canon gear, but I just can't. I think it could happen in the next generation of camera bodies from Sony for me. We'll see.
I feel the same way actually. If the next body after the A7R2 has dual
card slots, different RAW file sizes, and is more responsive I think I
will be switching for sure. I just got the a6500 to see if the system
was good enough for my uses, I also tried for a couple of days an A7R2
and was very impressed.
Beautiful. Learned a lot!
Glad it helped.
that1cameraguy im planning on buying external monitor. Any suggestions? I experience that focus peaking on this cam is horrible. Will an external monitor have its own focus peaking mode? Have never owned an external screen.
By the way. Any videos on picture profiles? I'm coming from Canon with Cinestyle. But this is way more advanced.
This is exactly what I needed, thanks for putting this video together. I just got my a6500 to pair with my A7RII. The menues are different between the two cameras? Anyway looking forward to shooting with the a6500. I was a Canon guy for 10 years and made the jump to Sony last year.
this video has helped me alot. thank you very much!
Glad it was helped.
Please Help At 6:30 in your video you have those center markers in the middle of the screen How do I make them show on my camera?? I have both those setting to on that you said will give me those markers
Thanks
John
I have my Focus area set to Lock-on AF: Flexible Spot I believe. This lets me move my focus point around.
Super Helpful. Thank you sir!
Extreem wel done video, I needed to use the pause button a lot ;-) thanks !
Question : is there a kind of excel list with all the different menu's of the 6500 to have a kind of visual help with the settings ?
GREAT video!!!
Thanks!
28:35 thank you so much this was very confusing! :)
Awesome! Great video.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Thank you so much this saved me so much time
Very Helpful, thanks!
Glad it helped out! What kind of Sony gear are you using, and what are you shooting as of late?
I just got before Christmass a new sony a6500. I like to share my video of expédition and trail, I want to share my fishing trip and take some nice souvenir of my kid, my dog and my family...And I like bird and take them on picture!
That's awesome. Just watch out and not get the camera wet. Have you thought of what lenses to get?
I purchase the G f/4 18-105mm and It doing a go job
Its better to still use M imo. Id rather have full control over how i slow my video down.
Thanks for this video
why does my image size only go up to L:20M? Doesn't it go up to 24? What did I do wrong XD
nvm, I had it on 16:9
Hey @that1cameraguy what lens are you using at 21:50 ?
Zeiss Batis 85mm
Perfect... just finish watching the video.... thanks mate! ....good video!
Thanks, glad it helped you out.
Is there any settings you’ve changed since then? And is the there anything you change when shooting indoor basketball? Thanks in advance
Thank you
Very helpful
Glad it helped!
Thanks
Thanks for the video review
great useful info!
glad it came in handy for you.
super helpful thanks!
that was helpful. thanks
Is the extra custom button on the a6500 compared to the a6300 useful?
Great video - And I followed along and adapted most of your suggestions.
However... I NEVER heard the most important setting info that I initially needed to find! How do I change/turn-off the instant "image preview" that appears after shooting a still image, instead of a live view? It is so annoying not to see the action in front of you immediately as you would with a DSLR. Thank you, as I cannot find this info anywhere for the 6500.
Never mind - I found it: On the Menu-Movie 1 / page 7
Hello! Thx for guide! But I have one question: Why do you switch off SteadyShot in camera?
Can you use the Foto&Tech remote to start timecode? or is it just for snapping pictures?
Thank you for this video, but I have one question, in the video there's an F5.6 how I can change it I have this cam with sigma 16 1/4, and I use the cam for stream
Helpful video
I made custom function C3, Flash Exposure Comp.
Nice. Glad it helped you out.
Hello, how you can use 120fps on this camera ? I see on settings only 100.
Thanks, much appreciated.
but, is so good video. so nice video, my friend have the same camera (sony alpha65) and your video was so nice for him.
fast but helpful , thank you
Thanks so much for your tutorials! Thanks
Thank you for your time! Though a little boring, but 100% usefull!
I just got a comica mic and when I did a test to see if it was any different from the in body mic sound I did not notice a difference. Did I have to change some camera settings to get it to work properly?
thank you so much
Hello how do you use hss with the Sony 6500, xpro-s trigger and the ad200 pro?
Can you give me the link of your video where you explain the custom settings for slow motion?
Can you remove the limit on the a7iii?
For a serious amateur and family photographer would you recommend the 6500 over the a7iii?
Hey @that1cameraguy
?:maybe you can help me out.. is there any i can approach either the menu or the Fn menu trow customized buttons
for insistence, set my menu to be the play button or the trash button? thanks
Thanks for your videos. Do you happen to know if the smallrig a6300 fits in the path a6500? TIA.
I just found this by chance just now...not bad for the price.
www.coollcd.com/smallrig-a6500-cage-for-sony-a6500-1889/
Mabuhay, my Tagalog is not very good. Smallrig is actually making one or the a6500 and you can pre-order it at a good price from their website. You may want to check it out.
LOL, yeah, that's what I was referring too.
Cheers
thank for this video
first, thanks for this helpful video.
I just want ask why I can't get 120fps in my a6500 ?? the higer is 100fps in my a6500 !
You have your camera set to PAL which is dependent on your region. I have a video on how to switch NTSC to PAL, it will answer your question.
Thank god! I've been racking my brains.
Can you post the link please?
Is AEL w/shutter what makes the screen get brighter when pressing the shutter button?
I believe the camera does that to assist in auto-focusing. I could be completely wrong. It's just a hunch.
Great video! little cuestion... I've turned AF Area Auto Clear ON but still can't see the little green squares, it continues with the big white one, do you've idea why?? Thanks a lot!
I apologize, I think you have to turn it OFF in order to see the squares.
I changed both options and still can't see green squares tracking... it should work on video mode, right?
Another great video, thanks.
I'm finding that I can't really improve on the jpegs that this camera produces by shooting raw and then editing. Am I not using a good enough raw converter or are the jpeg files just so good that they can barely be improved?
Hey there, I was wondering what is the recommended S & Q settings for just normal recording without Slow or fast motion for 4k shooting.
Nice!!!
Very very nice!!! I have exactly the same camera!
But I would like to make a video tutorial on setting up the camera for shooting video!
It is a 6500! Oche detailed video - it would be great! Thanks for this video!
It is for S-Log3 !!!
Good useful video! Thanks
I don’t even have the 120fps option on my A6500 highest is 100fps
Why is that?
Thanks
How to do you set up your A6300 just like in this video (the camera facing you)?
Hi ! You talk in the applications list about the setting for unlimited movie time, but I cannot find anything like that in the menu. Could you please tell me how, it was precisely that what I was looking for all this time...Thanks !
