Ok....so I made this recipe and just finished eating it.
I have to say, it was awesome! Absolutely delicious!
Added squid, bean sprouts, chinese cooking wine, sesame oil and a bit of soy sauce to heighten the flavor profile.
I will be making this again and again. Thanks for the recipe!

I noticed the raw shrimp seems to have some prep'ed with some type of starchy paste? Do you soak your shrimp in baking soda to get them plump and bouncy first? i heard some will soak, then rinse, then cover in cornstarch first to make the shrimp "crunchier". Do you do that or is it plain unprepped raw shrimp?

It’s egg white and maybe baking soda and maybe white pepper, xiao xing cooking wine and maybe cornstarch. Might not be all those and it could be. it’s a velevting technique which helps tenderize protein you can do the same to chicken and beef.

What were the ingredients at the 4:04 mark and how much chicken powder did you add.
Could you add ingredient lists that go along with your recipes? That would help.
    Thank you

we use fish balls instead of fish cakes. And also add soy sauce to give it some color.

I like your videos but what is chicken powder? Dried ground up chicken meat? Chicken bouillon in powder form? You clearly can sell your products, as seen in the description with the video. I just wish you would explain a few items more clearly. Thank you.

You can find them in all Chinese supermarkets, it's basically chicken essence powder or stock powder, mixed with salt and sugar to give a light sauce.

Possibly turn the hood fan off when you are talking? Or add audio later? Otherwise this is a bust

I think the seafood makes sense for the Cantonese Chow Mein. Mushrooms go great with seafood. Beef is in the mixed meat Chow Mein with vegetables. Don't get me wrong, I would the the hell out of your suggestions, but they are two different dishes

Why should he use chopsticks? Gordon Ramsey doesn't use chopsticks or gloves when he plates his food.
