But it is a real shock the first time an American is served lobster this way. Trust me, try it!

At 4:44, what was the clear liquid he poured into the pot? At 5;50, what other ingredients did he add. It looked like red chilli pepper. Is this recipe available somewhere? Thanks
You fry the lobster for a minute or two until they are basically red and cooked, The other liquid was chicken stock to rinse the oil off the lobster, yes the ingredients are listed in the description below.

The people having a problem with killing the lobster in this manner should have someone else do it or do not make the dish. It is a lobster, get over it! It sounds naive to want fresh seafood or meat and think that the crustation/animal is not going to be killed BEFORE YOU CAN COOK IT. The grocery store took the live lobster out of the tank and chopped up the live lobster the same way the chef/cook did in this video. The only problem, they did not split the legs and crack the claw right. The next time that I make this dish, I will go to H-mart or another Asian grocery store because I am sure they will do a better job cutting up the lobster for this dish. The dish is easy to make and it is important to pour the hot water over the lobster to rinse the grease off of it. Thanks for sharing!
I love Chinese cooking, I make gear dishes my self.... But recently realised in restaurants and take aways.... The Chinese chefs use the same overheated oil again and again....in this video the oil appear black has tar.....surely this is unhealthy???

I'm a full-scale meat eater, but this video could turn me into a vegetarian. Just seeing the head keep moving was bad enough, then you had one lobster laying around whilst its brother was being murdered. When that was done, it was his turn and the brother's head was still moving. Watching this, if lobsters actually bled and not gave off clear liquid, this would be so much more graphic. Then the thought about standing there as someone is getting their arms, legs and head chopped off and you await a similar fate.
