you also don’t have to empty your gun to kill your opponent. you can mark them until the bar fills and then if you’re fast enough you can just press square or your platforms equivalent immediately after your first shot goes off to cancel all of your other marked shots for a clean one shot kill

It’s crazy . After pulling L2 and aiming. I was pressing R1 to fill the bar up, then press R2 when filled. This method actually worked, only now I realise it was a complete fluke all along, every duel I just fell lucky and won. But Im trying to follow this tutorial cos I want to do it properly, cos I knew somehow I was not doing it quite right. Now I just can’t win !! 🤯 wtf 🤷♂️ . Great video btw bro 👊🎮💯

@@KooNap R1 is when you’re using Deadeye when it’s at Level 3, this is a Duel, not Deadeye. Red Dead 2 uses Deadeye in duels but this game had its own sort of minigame for duels.

you can win by placing one shot onto your opponents draw hand. this will grant you with extra fame and honour as you dont kill your opponent, but instead disarm them
I knew nothing about the cursor changing color. All I know is that I won every time. Then quite a long ways into the Mexico missions, they suddenly stopped working entirely. I could line up several shots, but couldn't fire. Why did it work before, but then stop working? So I tried it your way and it's a crap shoot. Got through the mission duel, but the next random duel still lost. I'm kind of doubting the color shift means anything, considering they start before I've even lined up shots and following the cycle leads to fewer shots fired.

Rdr hardcore duels are extremely difficult
Fr it’s like a split second time difference compared to how much time you get in the normal difficulty

If the blue meter fills up, is it possible to fire shot early? Or you have to have placed all 6 shots?
It's not possible to fire early. You have to quickly and accurately place your shots and then the shooting animation will start.

Dude it just doesn't work on the switch or it very inconsistent because ive done it before but it very random in working

I watched the video I still suck at dualing tho sometimes the game won’t let me shoot then automatically raises the enemies bar all the way up

This is the most stpid game mechanics that i care less playing the game. Still struggle in every quest that tied to duel progression.
