Same. I did everything possible with John in rdr1 and everything possible with Arthur in rdr2.

Finally got 100% today. Remember playing this back in 2013-2014 but didn't fully 100% it. So happy to revisit this masterpiece of a game and put it to rest. 13/2/22.

I just received this achievement today! I was under the impression that you have to kill/capture all forty-something bounties for the achievement, but I was wrong, only needed to complete all specific locations with 20 bounties, made things a lot easier. For me, the gaining all 10 ranks for the master hunter challenges is the most challenging aspect of attaining this achievement; the other ambient challenges are not so bad. For the survivalist challenges, however, at first, I was under the impression that you can collect the plants/flowers in any order, not in the order by rank. So, at first, I collected all the different ones required in a random order, not consecutively. Thankfully, by doing this, I was still able to reach rank 6 and move from there, but I was so upset that I had to redo the last four. Excessive editing note: buying a survivalist map really hastens the process of the survivalist challenges. I mean, it is doable to acquire the plants without them, but it will take longer finding them on your own unless you have a decent idea of where to find each plant. I also did not find completing all the mini games as much of a challenge either, including the completion of the gang hideouts, buying all properties, completing all jobs, etc. The process of gaining this achievement, if anything, is more laborious and tedious as opposed to it being extremely challenging. I would say just be patient and take your time, and if possible, I would utilize a personal checklist of all tasks which need to be fulfilled, makes getting this achievement a whole lot easier as opposed to playing the guess and check game in your head even though I did not make one myself; I just think it would have made the process easier for me and perhaps easier for future candidates. Overall, it is a fun process, and at times, a bit boring with getting the collectibles.

Guys for some reason I have 19 stranger mission done and 94 out of 94 areas unlocked.
What's happening?
Alex Mercer there is 19 strangers bro. Aside from the basic marked ones there is "Aztec Gold", "I know you" & "Remember My Family".

Just a note, there is a map needed for discovering locations which is only found in the gunstore in Escalera, whereas all other maps are found in general stores
When this first came out I put so many hours into it. This was the first rockstar game that I 100 percent completed. One of the best games ever I liked this one better then part 2

Late tip but you have to have 5 bounties for New Austin, Mexico, and West Elizabeth. The remaining 5 are up to the player.

We weren't misnformed. Solomon's Folly wasn't available on the Xbox 360 until the Game of the Year Edition for that console came out

This is the best guide for this game,great job! I used this 1 year ago and it was all that i needed to fully complete the game and now that im playing it on another system i shall use it again. =)
Please help I'm stuck at 99.5% I've gotten everything.game says I have 17 stranger missions and all 20 bounties... do I have to be profitable in the mini games overall, not just once?

Juanasinjuan23 when you pause the game and select STATUS it's under the label SCORE and found at the very bottom of the list. (Bounty Hunter- New Austin Locations etc.) you should have 8 in NA, 8 in Nuevo Paraiso (Mexico) & 4 in West Elizabeth (Black Water & Tall Trees area)

i remember when i got this. i purposely left the "Remember my family" stranger until the last moment. was pretty sick. if your wondering about the bounties, go to stats in the menu and then misc. i think and at the bottom it shows how many bounty locations you've done. from memory there's 8 in new austin, 8 in mexico and 4 in west Elizabeth.

This game is soooo freak-in awesome, I wish I could go back in time and live the life in the wild wild west, I know I wouldn't last but it would be so cool just for the experience. This is coming from an Indian- American (not native American but from india) and proud to be an American. :)

MrJustenough01 Hey bro I've had the same problem coming back to this game recently. 3 things possible. 1.) Out of the mini games you've played, win at least two times making a profit. If you have all the outfits then the only mini games you should look to play are black jack, horse shoe & arm wrestling. 2.) Look up "California" & "Aztec Gold" strangers mission locations on google in case you missed them. 3.) Do the "Remember My Family" mission as Jack Marston in Mexico. If you're like me I did everything except the last mission where you find the guy who killed you father (John Marston). The achievement pops up after the credits if you haven't done it already. Hope this helps man!

there are actually 94 locations, and some of them arent on maps, like the 2 railroad bridges from new austin to west elisabeth. you need to cross them to be unlocked. if you still dont have all locations (check in start>stats>general) check south of rio del lobo, because that was my last location.
The FBI uniform is a solid reason to 100% the game.

here is a tip for the areas thing: use the poster you got with the game, its a map that shows all the areas
you should really mention that you need 8 bounties from new austin, 8 from mexico, and 4 from west elizabeth...this is what got me stuck (apparently there are cases where 9 are needed in new austin and only 7 in mexico

i did this 100% alone. My only help was the Rockstar social club where you can see what you've missed out to do, AND a huge guide book wich tells you everything there is to know in this game. I remember sitting there with that book it was so fun, i loved this game when it comes to completion, i NEVER EVER googled or watched any sort of video guide. The book was my only lead at the time and i still have it today. I'm never gonna get rid of that book. one of the most busy and fun moements in RDR^^

@ darkula13 the stranger mission youre talking about isnt required. Its called "I know you" and is not needed
There is 20 bounties 7 in Nuevo Paraiso Mexico, 7 in New Austin and 4 In West Elizabeth
@ThatLittleNerd I'm stuck at the same percentage. I'm not sure if we got the same things left to do, but i assume so. It's getting the wanted quests done. It's like five in each town that have wanted posters that will give percent. So visit those village and do at least five wanted quest and you will get your last 0,5%.

@16YearsInHell I had the same problem you have. If your missing location is in Nuevo Paraiso, then the location may be Plata Grande. Plata Grande is a cave system that is in between Tesoro Azul and Sidewinder Gulch. I hope this helps you.
got 100% already. After which, there is not muchnothing story wise) to do than put on the Bureau outfit, equip the bandana, get your best weapon out, and go out on killing rampages... :P not honor lost, no fame lost, no cops after you. YOU HAVE BECOME GOD IN RDR.
@Wonderbread96 are u sure u did the mission Remember My Family? it isnt a big letter location but shows up as a stranger task and is the 57th mission in the game
I'm playing the PS3 version, and you don't get progress by doing Solomon's Folly or unlocking the Walton's Gang Outfit. So it's just an unrelevant PS3 bonus.
@MatosandFrancisProd You get it automatically once you make it to Mexico. It's your first safehouse there.
I replayed this on the Xbox One 1 in prep for RDR2 and I managed to get 100% done.
I honestly have done most of it not knowing how close I was to 100%ing it, I was trying to get all the outfits and honestly just that takes out a big chunk of the percentage just going for them. So now I'm just saying why not and going for the rest of the things to fully complete the game.
I missed a stranger task, but I got my 100% now. Also missed some bounties:
8 in deep south (central part)
8 in Nuevo bla bla (Mexico)
4 in west Elizabeth
If you need skunks for rank 6 hunter you can force spawn them from armadillo by walking around the general store :P
On Sharpshooter Rank 10, DONT USE DEAD EYE! Waste all the ammo in a weapon with a lot of bullets(i.e. Evans Repeater 22/0) and then use dead eye cuase if u have bullets left Dead EyE will reload, but if you waste the bullets, dead eye cant reload.
JUST TO CONFIRM TO OTHERS WATCHING THIS VIDEO: THERE IS NO HOUSE AT PACIFIC UNION R.R. CAMP AND IRISH'S SHACK IS A MISSION BASED HOUSE THAT YOU CAN'T MISS (IT'S IN THE NORTH-WESTERN PART OF MEXICO)

UPDATE (22/3/23): after hours of tinkering, i've finally managed to run this game on xenia with optimized settings! resolution scale at 2 with 60-ish fps on average. 😍 lezzgooo!!
@charger6699 You can't get the Gentlemen's Attire at the moment since PSN is down at the moment. I think the Deadly Assassin outfit is a pre-order exclusive.
@a007master Those are the only two varieties of job however when it says five it means that there are more jobs of the same kind in a different area. Like a nightwatch job in mcfarlane's ranch and a nightwatch job at blackwater would count as two different jobs.
Next game: make the aim to get $200,000 ( like in TGTBTU) so you can buy a mansion right at the end. And in the mansion there's activities only available in the mansion. I don't know, whatever.
Bro I don't know where is that Irishs Shack, I don't see it on my map, to me, it's available only 12 houses, btw this is 2022. year.

on the bollards outfit i searched theives landing for hours, then i just realized you had to open the chest in the warehouse.....
have you done Aztec Gold as a Stranger mission? I had that exact same problem trying to get it to 100% until I found that stranger mission. If it is, he's located in Sidewinder Gulch in Nuevo Paraiso.
@CamNM1991 here's the way how to know what you miss.
1. relax.
2. go to the menu and select social club.
3. join the social club by filling in the form.
4. go to socialclub.rockstargames(.)com.
5. select red dead redemption.
6. go to 100% and see what you still need to get.
Well I beat the main 57 missions without completing two of the strangers missions and I went back and beat them givn me the final 1percent I needed! These where the wronged woman and the Prohibitionist!there's 1 stranger mission that dosent count againt ur game completion and that is I know you! You can check every stat u need at the menu
You don't need to come out profitable you just need to win. I won like 3 games at 5 finger fillet then lost to the 4th and final guy like 10 times... When I beat him around the eleventh I still got it done.
The Dealy Assassin outfit is a DLC, you need a code or you can buy it for 80 microsft points
for some reason i couldn't buy the lemat revolver because the owner is not at the shop same with the doctor and general store
Solomon's Folly is in the 360 version but only in the game of the year edition.

on the sharp shooter challenges on the one where you have to shoot the hats off multiple guys waste all ur ammo on preferably master pistol except one last full clip of ammo and use ur dead eye and u can use ur dead eye over again and it wont reload your pistol

@TheBodhi859 no, im at 99,9% u and me have the 99,9% glitch, this glitch apens when u have in ur stats the locations that u fund miss fixed, this means that one or 2 in ur locations stats will show up like: 44/45 and another like 18/17, u fund all the locations but the game put it in the wrong place, theres no way to correct this, only by replaying the game, the only whope is rockstar correct this but when the undead nightmare comes out, or send and actualization.

In the 100% completition guide of Social Club it says 7 of 8 HideOuts, and in the video there is 7
It really sucks for me because I had about 97% game completion and I was saving another profile that was just started and my xbox glitched and saved it to my 97% completed game.
the MINI-GAMES is were most ppl slip up.
go to stats and check that your in profit with each mini game.
@jamesdragonforce means if u play blackjack per say, usually you'll start with 100 chips, so play to win more then 100 and leave the game.. even if you leave with 102 chips its still a profit

@Ganzuji yes, but you cannot do the "I know you" stranger quest but it dosnt count towards 100%

So you don't need deadly assassin, savvy merchant, gentlemens attire, that hunter outfit. I think that's it.
hey about the mini games, should your total gambling profit be positive or should every mini game have a total profit?
Each bounty is worth 0.1%. You need 8 in America, 8 in Mexico, and 4 in west Elizabeth. That helped me out but that will only bring me to 99.5%.

Hey ye no its nothing wrong with the game. its a long time since ive completed this 100%, but i think it has something to do with a mission you havent done. you can go to stats and replay missions if you want :) look for a mission you havent done, check if all the strangers are done, everything is explored, there is a little tiny thing you have forgotten, it was frustrating to find that thing since i thought i had done everything, but there is something just keep looking :)

For the mini games, do you have to profit once or do you have to profit on your overall earnings?
Bounties Confusing? It's not that you just need to collect 20 bounties. There are like over 100 total bounties within the game. You just need to collect 1 bounty in each of the 20 LOCATIONS that bounties can be found at. So if you collect 20 bounties but 2 of them were found in the same spot then it will not count. There are 20 locations within the world where you will get bounties. collect 1 in each location. Go to stats and it will tell you where you have gotten bounties from already.
Finished only 98.3% of the game don't know what's missing... and how you know that you have completed 20 Bounty Hunting mission? in stranger mission.. how many are there?... i finished 17 mission for the strangers section?
@shear19 8 bounties from both new austin and mexico and 4 from blackwater? have you bought all the properties? horse breaking in ridgewood and chuparosa? nightwatch in blackwater and chuparosa? all 6 mini games played through? all 18 strangers?
99.7 I only have 3 bounty missions left, all in Mexico. I only havn't got it yet because I keep getting the same locations...

help me, i got 99,4% i complete all gang hidouts i won in all mini games i got all outfits, i have all wepons i worked all 5 jobs completed the story line and the 18 strangers, and i got in the stats all 20 bountis alive: 9 in new autin 8 in noevo paraiso and 5 in west elizabeth... but in the areas discovered says 94/94 but its says to: New austin areas 44/45 and West elizabeth 16/17.
and i buy and use all the map locations that they are seling in the general store. is that what its mising?hlp
im coming up with 12 houses. one house im not sure of on your list ispacific union rr camp. where is the house in this place. i saw your map and did not see a green house in this area.
for example, can you do all the mexico bountys in escalera? or do you have to go to chuparosa and el presidio too. and how can you know if you're already done that bounty?
