Idk, that's like saying there is no point to shiny Pokemon because they are so rare. I'd argue there would be no point to apricorn balls if they are so common. It’s cool seeing you actually do the testing/experiments, it reminds me of doing some science project or something but applied to video games. You’re pretty sick for doing this stuff for us Austin, thank you for the constant effort In your videos!
Note to Self: Give up on find the rare Pokéballs from the Cram-o-matic
Same here. Was the one of the only incentives for me to get the dlc. Then I find out they disgraced Kurts own craft
Damn then I got real lucky when I got my sport ball on my second try
lottery
You should play the lottery.
I don't ever get a shiny, but I also got a safari ball by my 10th or so try... lol

in generation two, the region of kanto. hmm yes, seems right
Yeah... it does. thats litterally the post game
@@krissa9664 I misspoke, but also yes. lol
You have smooth brain
He probably meant when you can travel to Kanto
I rewatched this video because I wanted some cool pokeballs for collection and the moment when austin said how rare sport and safari balls were I got a sports ball!
I literally hit like before the intro is even done
You looked so happy figuring things out. Way to Go Austin!
Rarest thing for collectors to farm: A shiny Antique Form Sinistea with a Title caught in a Sports Ball
*Ultra shiny
@@bigbruhtheory4530 Ultra Shiny is not a thing, Its more common to get an "ultra" shiny in the wild cause they messed up the programming. Star Shiny would be more rare on a wild Pokemon.
Wait THERE'S A ANTIQUE FORM!?
@@alucard8433 ahem it's a joke about how rare it is
Alucard No cap, to me, shiny is a shiny.
You are certifiable crazy. Trust me i did the numbers, i watched like 90% of your video's And 50% i was like "duuude" and 50% was like "that's so much time!" Yup. 100% crazy. Love it!
Just a heads up i was wondering if having a full inventory of balls would increase the chances, but no, you just don't get an item as it says you cant have anymore of those balls and it still comsumes the apricorns. why make the balls you cant obtain normally so rare, what is the point.
Austin John's dedication to poke science will never be topped.
This is video is a statistician's dream.
Like this was too perfect it never happens like when looking for data
When in doubt, get a bigger sample size. 😬
@@AustinJohnPlays Yeah but most of us aren't mad men like you who spent most likely days like you on clicking a robot bird (this is a compliment btw)

Me, a Math teacher: * laughs in Probability and Statistics *
High respect, no doubt that the curry video was probably the lowest viewed video of Pokémon sword and shield for this guy but he still did it for the math, now he’s back with no ill intent to keep these poke balls but again just for the math, this is why I sat through that video, and respect him for not keeping those 0.1% poke balls. Love your content and your honor AustinJohnPlays!!!
The mad man ^^ Thanks for all the work. But these numbers are insane, who at GameFreak thought this was a good idea????
I respect how dedicated you are to the community and i thank you for it.
Literally was looking this up
I'll be honest I was wondering where your next video was for a couple days now, but now that I've seen this, I most commend you and put forward my deepest respects for the suffering you put yourself through for your work. Thank you for your efforts friend.
So there’s no point in having apricorns if the balls are so rare.
I think in Crown Tundra there is gonna be an upgrade for the scam o matic, to make it 2% instead of 1% lol.
Idk, that's like saying there is no point to shiny Pokemon because they are so rare. I'd argue there would be no point to apricorn balls if they are so common. Like I'm kind of pissed you can get safari balls outside the safari zone because it makes my safari ball metagross not as rare, it takes months just to make the beldum spawn in HGSS safari zone, then at an incredibly low spawn rate with the catch rate of a legendary and you cannot harm it and it runs (being the safari zone), as far as I know it's the most difficult Pokemon to catch in the entire series. I'm glad it's a 0.1% chance to obtain the ball but also conflicted that metagross will be added to crown tundra as now a safari ball metagross will be obtainable outside the very specific method it was for years before
@@sethg1116 Like Sorry for your struggle
(too bad sword is the only Pokemon game i beat)
@@sethg1116 As if these people use any ball other than ultra anyway. They still think legendaries are the rarest Pokemon.
Nothing as bad as you but if my beast ball shiny collection becomes half as hard to get because they make beast balls common in crowned tundra i'm going to be pissed also. So many hours wasted grinding the battle tower and finding people with beast ball breedjects to trade with. Got through 6 shiny charmanders just to get my competitive 5iv ha charizard. Now they are saying i might have to redo it all over again in a safari or sports ball because beasts are coming to tundra lol
@@sethg1116 What are you even going on about? The Apricorn balls went from being created in a day's wait to being obnoxiously rare. Shiny Pokemon are rare PERIOD. You cannot even compare them.
Austin, you are the hero we need, but not the hero we deserve. Keep up with the awesome. A thousand digital starbursts for you, mate
Thanks for the numbers, pretty cool to see how rare some of these balls are. You keep saying though in videos that it's only a 100% catch on solo non-promoted raid dens but it's also 100% catch rate when you host a non-promoted raid den as well, thought people should know in case they need help catching a raid den pokemon
I haven't seen that many balls since the high school locker room!
Keep up the good work my man!
I was hoping you would make this video!
Man is content is higher quality than the phone I watch it on
I'n sad that we can't get more Beast balls from this. However I have a feeling that in the crowned Tundra there will be a way to get more Beast Balls
Probably since apparently the ultra beasts will be obtainable in tundra
I am sad to be honest with you too. The Beast Ball is my favorite ball along with the Moon Ball. It is annoying that we only get a 1% chance to get more of the Apricorn Balls too. I don't know what's more annoying Cramomatic or having to do the Champions Cup over and over.
I came to watch to see the general findings but with the greater hope of a recipe for the beast ball.... I was gonna start a new game to catch my whole team with beast balls :\
@@speedyav46 I think doing a 2nd playthrough might be a better option than any other method for attaining Apriballs and Beast Balls, honestly.
@@JGirDesu I did that once, it can be time consuming though especially since I need a person to trade my Pokemon from Shield and then on to Sword. Another good bet is to trade Apricorn Balls with other people.
Amazing work man. I hope everyone understand the insane amount of time and effort you're putting in to save us frustration
I feel scammed lol. This was one of the selling points for the dlc. I tried myself before this video and didnt have any luck but i didnt know it was that bad. Like seriously
Scammed? They didnt even specify apricorns and pokeballs as a selling point so how are you upset. I am in need of an explenation Maximus.
Kristaps Sprūdžs, to be fair, in the direct they said “Apricorns can be made into pokeballs” but that was it.
@@krissa9664 They did.
It's like buying a coffee machine, and it technically works, but it takes 10 hours to make a single cup.
@@UltraBall23 oh sorry i missed that part but tbh if thats like a selling point its just pure nostalgia and nothing else even if it worked exactly how he wanted it to
@@The_Endless_Now to me it was like my coffee machine not having access to facebook. I wasnt a gen 2 guy so i didnt exactly care too much bc i didnt expect it to be sone enthralling experiance and forgive me of i am wrong previosly it was just an alternate to get pokeballs so nothing really special
Bro, you’re doing the Lord’s work. Saying thank you is not enough.
Austin out here doing the hard work so we dont have to
Bless this man
I never in my life thought I would see a Safari ball again.
How many times do you want to upload this week
Austin: YES
I don’t mind.
Jay Cee neither do I lol
Running an active sheet that confirms most of your numbers. 1% Apriballs, 25% or so for store balls, and 75% or so of Poke/Great/Ultra Balls. So far at over 700 inputs (2800 apricorns).
Happy to see the work our server is doing is consistent
So apricorns are useless.
No no no
It can be good
*Sure you really shouldn't be hurting on cash now*
But it could help round up with extra balls
Although always use quick balls
Insane research! Congratulations and thank you for sharing it!
think about this you find a shiny safari Pokemon so you throw your safari ball and it shakes 2 times and then brakes out and runs
I love this. Seems to be even rarer then shinies. I want the safari balls and sport balls so bad.
The word “ball” now sounds weird after watching this vid

This is totally off topic but I love the music you use in the videos. Pokemon Shield is my first Pokemon game so your videos are really helpful.

The commitment is unreal, great job on the vid, helped me a lot
