    Because a lot of people find this helpful, I'm placing it on Github so people can fork it and send updates.

      Sure thing, having a base starting point was a thought I had for a long time. If I had realized so many people would enjoy it I would have set it up sooner.

    Great video! I just started with Logseq and all of your videos about this topic are very helpful. Same for your demo graph.
    Just one question: do you have a shortcut for the bold current timestamp? I already know, I can get the 'unformated' timestamp with /Current Timestamp. But how do I get it bold the same time? Thanks.
    EDIT - And a second question: why have you created a namespace with the 'My/'-prefix?

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  7 місяців тому +1

      I use the Logseq Interstitial Journal plugin to add a CTRL+T for bold timestamp, one of my most used plugins.
      The My/ prefix is for any personal workflow pages. For example "Workflow" might contain notes on workflows, good ideas, links to other workflow concepts. But My/Workflow has my personal as I'm using it right now workflow that's short and sweet.
      Bonus is that I can easily find all my work by searching for My/ (My/Projects, My/Tasks, My/Workflow, My/Tags)

    Thank you for this wonder video. I have started following your system. However, I am still a bit confused in how to distinguish the different usages between the two set of pages. For example, what is the difference in the use of My/Templates vs. My___Templates?

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  Рік тому +1

      Logseq converts My/Templates to My___Templates.md in the filesystem, this is something they did because not every filesystem (like iOS) is based around folders. So in effect, they should be the same thing.

    How do you separate out work vs personal??? Do you put them in separate graphs? Thus far Ive been tagging tasks with #todo/personal or #todo/work but that is a bit of a pain. I wish logseq had a way to reference context or something with tasks.

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  Рік тому

      For my freelance work I have separate graphs due to NDA requirements. The rest I mix everything but add area to it. So I might have a block with [[toolsontech]] and have notes/tasks below that so they all get marked as toolsontech.
      Taking it a level higher, what is the need to split at work / personal level VS context like @office and @home

    What's the advantage of using namespaces instead of just writing an indented list of pages in Contents, since it appears by default in the right sidebar?
    P.S. the Logseq team should provide something like this as a way to communicate how they think Logseq should be used, then one would deviate but a starting point would be helpful.

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  Рік тому +2

      Main benefit for Namespace for me is that I can search namespaces when using block complete, so [[Topic/ gives me all my topics and I can make multi levels that get autocombined if I go up a level. Say topic/pkm/notetaking doesn't get me enough results I go up a level and check topic/pkm/notetaking.
      I'll need to do a full video on that workflow, it's on my long list. :)
