    Just wanted to send some appreciation out to you. Your content is great, the short form format is enjoyable as well as your perspective. That's for getting us all up to speed. May this upcoming year give you more of want and less of what you don't.
    Cheers!

    Sorry, I had to delete the other comment as it was from a co-workers account! Its about the pager marking plugin, and you're right, your suggestion about using 8 or 9 instead of 1 or 2 is far better and simply just common sense, heh. Again, thanks for the video.

    My issue with vim plugins for non-vim software is that binds are always a bit different and usually only a subset are supported. Which means it becomes more work for the brain to remember what you can do and how, which counteracts the benefits. And also logseq doesn't display what mode it's in (another plugin idea right there :) Thanks for another interesting video Bas. You're awesome, keep it up

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  Рік тому +2

      Fair, my mind has two modes, basic vim for most implementstions. Limiting to movement, copy and paste and full vim when I'm actually in vim and I can do do things like macros, search and replace, etc...
      If it strays too far for the original I obviously skip it all together. For the same reason as mentioned.
      Thanks for the comment, always appricated!

      if you use emacs. there is an emacs plugin that lets you edit logseq files in emacs and you can use vim in al its glory that way

    Thanks for sharing! What is the best plugin to format my tags with colors like round buttons?

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  Рік тому

      I actually don't use a plugin for that but picked a theme with round buttons for tags and added a little bit of css code to my custom.css file. That way the colored tags also work on my Android device.
      a.tag[data-ref="visit"] { background-color: green !important; }

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  Рік тому

      Hope that helps, this would color my #visit tags green. If not let me know, I might need to do a little video on the trick

      @@toolsontech Thank you, that did help a lot. I searched the themes and already found one that I like. Later I'll try the custom CSS trick ;)

      @carlosallanofficial Рік тому

      @@toolsontech I finished "painting" my tags with custom CSS and even added a border, radius, padding, everything! I feel like a CSS wizard 😅 If you would like I can share the code of one tag block. Let me know. Thanks

    Hey, I noticed you have a colour Platte option in one of your menus. can you please share how you got it?

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  8 місяців тому

      It's been a while since I made this, had a quick skim but didn't find the exact scene. The platte I do have in my notes is a .png from coolors.com and using a little HTML to color some bars. ( #6F2C91 )
      You can put html in blocks and they will format correctly

    I am trying to figure out how to use the VIM shortucts you mention. I am not familiar with VIM. When I type "j" or "k" for example, I just get normal text. What do i have to do to turn on Vim?

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  5 місяців тому

      If you get normal text then you are probably in edit mode, switch to command mode using esc and then try j and k
      Good question, as this happens a lot when people try something like vim that has different modes , as most modern apps only use one mode for everything.

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  Рік тому

      It uses CTRL+T instead of ALT+T, so that might be the issue. You can also check settings for the plugin to change the shortcut to whatever you like. Just make sure it doesn't overlap with other plugins.

    Love your theme and the header image… how do we get those?

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  Рік тому

      In this one I'm using the default dark logseq theme and the banners plugin (default headers)
      Personal setup I forgot what theme I was using, copied the CSS to my personal install and now notice that that doesn't contain the name anywhere. When I find it again I'll be sure to just use the theme install so it shows up in my settings.

  • @xtrailz

    The bullet threading plugin is redundant. It doesn't work with any other theme, including the default theme.
    Instead you need the author's logseq-dev-theme, which comes with bullet threading anyway.

    • @toolsontech
      @toolsontech  Рік тому

      I'm confused, it's working fine in my personal, demo and multiple DND graphs all using their own theme.
      Could it be clashing with another plugin on your end? As that would be useful information.
