when using the factory clips, how do you make them not show up in the leather, i guess use a foam backed leather?

@@thejasonrk I use 1/8" closed cell foam on the panel first. The factory used open-cell, but it collapses really easy. I'll typically put a little blue tape over the clip hole area before I use the spray glue - this allows the foam to give just a little and not telegraph through to the top surface.

I got the tan ones hoping they would match my interior, but the shade was slightly off. They are very well made and I just dremeled out the holes.

can strong adhesive thin magnet strips be used to help secure the upper arm pad to the door. or possibly hard drive magnets?

@@AlexPerrucci...the trick finding the right adhesive (e.g. 3M automotive) or other liquid adhesive. if magnets can work for speaker grills, they can work for door/trim panels too, yes?

Did it help with rattle window noise? When closing the door or going over bumps? Any tips?

There are Window bushings that can be replaced, I would suggest looking at those, Moss Miata sells them!
