Excellent video! I am 54 and engage in IF. I watch what I eat ,run 3 miles daily 5x week and feel phenomenal. I find it amusing sometimes when people complain about not losing weight on IF and not understanding that you must be in a deficit. I also believe in doing what is sustainable I personally will not do 20/4 because long throat will be a problem and I will fail. I have a strong FH of diabetes.Hypertension and all the unwanted health issues so I need to stay on top! I am setting my notifications so I can follow this! Be well!
Knowledge is power. I feel empowered after watching this video. The whole explanation about good starch vs bad starch is my favourite part. Thanks Doc.
Hello doc. I want to speak on pcos I was diagnosed with pcos and since I started updating my meals everyday I found out that many women are depressed because of this . I feel the urge to speak on a platform that many women will see it and be encouraged
Very educative & Thank you Doc. First time I'm seeing doc looking gentle on health talk. Somehow sha, I miss Emeka & Nkachi and your funny presenting pattern of health talk 😭
Very educative. I don't even fast. It's not for me. " No two metabolisms are the same" and i strongly agree. Some of us lose weight faster than we gain it. I'm trying to put on weight in fact, so I don't consider fasting an option at all.
Me I’m trying to even gain small weight and balance my weight to 50kg . So intermittent fasting is not for me . Infact I need intermittent eating but I mostly don’t even have strength and motivation to eat😂. I try to eat what my body needs and do small small stretching exercises . Make I no lose the small weight wey I don gain .
I like how concise this is. I remember the horror I felt when a “preacher” blatantly told his congregation that it’s okay for pregnant women to fast without telling them to first seek advice from a medical practitioner. Sometimes clergymen forget that the influence they have from the pulpit comes with a lot of responsibility. Let good sense prevail please.
Thanks Aproko Doctor. You have broken it down so much that even the layman understands every enlightening a new insightful words you have said. You are a sum total of a well being teacher, coach and leader.
I've been on 20:4 intermittent fasting for almost a year now. I started with 16:8 which was a little bit tough when I started. Now, I only eat once a day and I drink a lot of water. My weight moved from 85kg to 60kg the last time I checked. I feel stronger, healthier and I would recommend to anyone who is planning to start. I don't eat processed foods anymore. I stay away from sugar and I eat a lot of eggs.
I recently came across your channel and it’s been amazing watching your videos. As someone who is into the business of selling supplements and also following other doctors/nutritionists from the western world, it’s so refreshing to see our own, doing the same thing even better. Well done. Intermittent fasting has become a lifestyle for me and it has improved my health immensely. I wish some of our people can adopt this lifestyle hence there are so many people suffering from chronic illnesses nowadays
Thank you for clarifying, Doc. It's essential to know our calorie levels and how much of a calorie deficit we have. In my case, you're right about starting it slowly and then building up to 20:4 and above. It really does get easier and is so rewarding.
Please talk about eating according to your blood type. I started eating according to my blood type and its kind of working for me. I stay away from chicken, corn, tomato, and others. Am B+

Thanks, Doc for this enlightening video. Can you talk about gaining weight naturally? I once went to the hospital and the nurse said my weight isn't that of an adult. Kindly enlighten me, thanks.
Hi @situ oreoluwa I may not be able to explain how to naturally gain weight but there's something called Body Mass Index(BMI). It has a formula which I can't remember now but the formula uses one's height and weight to determine if one is under weight, over weight or has a normal weight. I am thinking that was what the nurse might mean. You may want to read up on Google though. #Cheers
I am always fasting… not just for the purpose of losing weight but also for a normal functioning system. So good at it that I do one meal a day and I don’t feel it. It’s great for restoring and boosting the system.
