Grubby: "he he" Grubby two seconds later: - loses footman after running the entire way home - loses hero while looking at dead footman - loses creeps to opp. after having crept it for him Damn, karma's a B...
It's good seeing the "freeze" also happens to ppl like Grubby. This is what we basically feel like (the 50% win rate 1500 MMR people) that occasionally meet him in games. So at least he feels the same when there's some difference. Because we've all seen him before, when he was playing wc3 like 5 hours per day and he used to meet happy, tod, foggy etc and beat all of them at a somewhat positive rate, but now when he's not actively playing orc you can tell the difference in his micro and decisionmaking.
It’s so exciting and fun to see Grubby play at the highest level. This game against Kaho was definitely winnable. Of course, Grubby is not in super tournament shape at the moment because he usually doesn’t play competitively, but if he really sets his mind to it, with some practice he can compete at the absolute world top I think.
Did he put a Dryad or something where your reinforcements were passing through? (Starting at 9:30) Because when you look at the beginning of the fight on the minimap you have 3 units passing past one enemy unit (one being peon who just walks by, the other kodo and spirit walker a bit later) and I think the Kodo killed the Dryad and got delayed by that by quiet a bit. (And u can see the Kodo being half HP at 10:30 also Peon being hurt) That's quiet insane if you think about it when you talk about in the end how you didn't use your kodo/it wasn't part of the fight for example. I'm always blown away what small things people do in these insanely high level games. Because it feels to me like that was on purpose. GG love watching ur videos Grubby
Man, that choking feeling is awful. You know what you're supposed to do but your brain just freezes and before you realize what's going on it's too late. Happens to me in League and I feel awful every time it does.
I've noticed a trend when Grubby plays against high ranked or pro players he simply loses his composure and makes ridiculous mistakes that you never see him make against random players. If he didn't know who he was against he would perform so much better. He always says upgrade buildings like Lumber Mill, Huntress Hall etc are the lowest priority for attacking...proceeds to hit Huntress Hall instead of shop which was the most fragile and valuable building since it would hit his army and block it's passage in addition to supplying healing potion, mana potion and moonstone during the fight. He had 3 raiders with ensnare and 2 cyclones so all he had to do was cyclone then 3x ensnare repeat to permanently remove DH for the fight, attack command forward army and just control his heroes and he would have demolished Kaho. The lvl1 healing wave spam... engaging Kaho when he just hit lvl6 DH instead of creeping that last bottom camp when he was a sliver away from 5 BM and 4 SH...not disengaging with speed scroll when Metamorphosis was cast... all this was painful to watch. Despite this you still have the best personality and are the most entertaining to watch Grubby!
@Josuegurrola always funny when the guys who were never good at wc3 chime in to tell a pro how they should play against a top ranked player lmao. Grubby has played against moon many times and he's easily a top tier NE player lol
It's really encouraging to see Grubby make mistakes even when he is the best orc player Makes it easier to accept my uncountable flaws haha (Also nice explanation at the end ty
Grubby my favorite player ever, and he still very strong for a pro retired for many years. But when i saw that opponent was Kaho, i knew he had like 5-10% chance of winning. That is #1 Elf ror the past year straight, and top #4 current pros in the World. For a legend retired for 13 years now, Grubby did really, really well. He at least made it competitive, and Kaho chews and spits out 2.100-2,400 MMR Master/Grandmaster players. Great performance by Grub.
I remember loading screens for the campaign got me excited the first time i played warcraft 3. A detail that would not only be absent in modern games. The map with the highlighted path was great and even the map miniature was feeling like a place you wanna explore due to critter camps and nice looking terrain. Lush warm greens and rich browns even falling into reds, classic fantasy palette.

Havent been watching for long, but seen a few vids over the past months here and there, you used to main Orcs for a long time right? Do you not like them as much anymore or do you still play them regularly?
Honestly I barely ever watch streamers/youtubers for more than 2 days in a row (not homo. just bro xD) and honestly you're entertaining af! So much nostalgia and damn, somehow makes me wanna play but as I see all them binds u use in 0.1 sec just makes me want not xD For now I'll stick to WoW where Im used to them bind xD Left you a subscribe cuz u deserve it man!
if the elo is the same as in chess grubby would have about 12% chance to win this match since there is a 350 elo difference. so he doesnt even need 500 games!
You had this Grubby, from my perspective the only mistake you made was during first fight which was in your favor at the beginning until you start chasing keeper with bm deep within his base.
Instead of attacking into the night elf base at tier 2, would it work if you expanded? You are clearly stronger at that fight, and at your expo with a shop you could maybe hold it
Philadelphian! Hey so basically how it works is like anywhere there are multiple kinds of people in any town, group, demographic, etc. In philly, ALL types have zero fuks to give. Some nice people have zero tolerance of intolerance, like a gym bro picking a fight with someone for using a phrase that encourages patriarchal dominance. Or sweet old ladies who smile at you but are already thinking which sharp object to pop your tires when you aren't looking. Maybe "passionate" is the best word. But either way, no one is allowed to say anything bad about philly except philly. a GREAT example is when "Gritty" the mascot was made. He came out and all philadelphians were like "WTF IS THIS THING??" and then other people were like "lol nice mascot" and philly was like "SHUP UP HE'S BEAUTIFUL". And now honestly I love him more than any mascot. Also "Always Sunny in Philadelphia" has a LARGE amount of accuracy.
no one noticed but the zoom level varies depending on sd/hd. or maybe its a w3c/blizzard thing. but I tried 1920 on reforged and looks so fucking far away, started comparing sd/hd screenshots and 1920 SD is like 1800 HD
Bet you 500$ grubby would have won that if he didnt knew who his opponent was xD You could feel the fear even in how he played all super safe wasting half a min searching for a single wisp
Letting NE get level 6 DH is already game over. The hard part isn't building the right army, the hard part is to build sufficient army and disrupt NE's creeping WHILE not donating too much exp to him at the same time. This matchup is overwhelmingly in favor of NE and even the best Orcs in the world don't have a consistent solution.
They don't have rock paper scissors solution. But there is one, be better. Even you said the what win condition against it is, it's just hard to execute compared to average strategy. But that doesn't mean there is no solution, just that one side has agency and it's on them to make it work. Flip side though, if Orc plays perfectly, then NE is the one who "has no solution", because nothing in his kit can win if you do your job as Orc. This is not unusual situation in RTS or MOBAs. I don't have too much xp with RTS, but I played League for 10 years, and there are match ups like these, where all the agency is on one side to "not f*ck up". If they don't, the other side feels like they cant do anything, but since it's easy to F up, most lower rated players produce oxymoronic results. Like for example, you could have by stats, one Hero/Champion another, one being released in 2010 and one in 2020, so the one newer has far modern and varied kit, while the old one is more simpler. Just going by stats, old champion "counters" the new one, and has 54% win rate against him in high elo, but that's because it's your job on that old champion to NOT use one of his skills until the new champ does X. So lower elo players are going to use it in wrong time and lose 9/10 times, because despite the champ countering another, you have to know why and play it out. Same analogy here, it's a 50-50 but 90% of agency is on the Orc player.
@@MrMrtvozornikyou said you don’t have much xp in RTS but play 10 years in league Lol then your knowledge in these matchups and opinion on the matter hold no weight other than the theoretical concept of you trying to explain the solution to this problem. Be better is always the solution but if everything is optimized then those windows of being better shrink considerably.
Today Lynn played against Colorfol, Lynn was on 51 food during the second game :)) I'm not kidding, he made that mistake that makes you laugh so much when bronzes do it :)) Of course it lasted about a minute, because soon was a fight and the unit died, he came back at 48 food, and expansion was already underway.
