For some cars, all you have to do is unplug and replug it back in. Or just push it together tighter! He is taping it together to hold it tighter for the connections!

It's great video it just looks weird from the angle, your not use to seeing the seat out at first I didn't understand till I went outside and did a little looking. Took all of 5 seconds lol didn't even pick my seat up just went under with a flashlight.

@ogsuperflygarage mine luckily was just a loose connection no tape needed I just unplugged and replugged it back in like an hdmi cord 😆

I wouldn’t try it without knowing the main cause of it first. You can look at many UA-cam videos but you need to find out what caused the problem.

if you’re gonna remove seats is always safe to unhook your battery and wait an hour, just incase the airbags go off, especially in newer cars.

Mines turned off while driving but then came back on
Me too, I have a Ford Focus and the light comes on sometimes and then goes away, I usually notice it’s on when I start the car and when ever I notice it’s off it’s when I’m driving

@@ogsuperflygarage yeah it literally was, I had a bic lighter lodged under the seat, pulled it out and checked all of the connections, they all were firmly connected, the light turned off and hasn’t came back on at all today. Lmao it was such a simple fix

My 06 ridgeline airbags deployed for both passenger and driver. Buying and replacing them seems easy enough to do myself but I’m curious if I’ll need to reset the airbag sensor system? And if so how?
I wish I could help you with the issue. My vehicle didn't have that issue and the fix was simple as the video shows. When it comes to replacing the airbags and reseting the system I would take it to a professional. I would not DIY that issue...

I can't see what you do with the plug
Over time the wires become loose. I pushed them back in and secured it with electrical tape. Later I used zip ties because they are more secure. Point is to secure the loose wires in the connection. Problem solved. Didn’t cost anything but time.

This is dumb. The airbag light can be on for maaaany reasons. Not only because of the passenger seat weight sensor / module. Your first step should always be to scan the vehicles codes unless you already know a part is damaged. 🤦🏽♂️

I had a toyota yaris year 2008 and i experience airbag light on, no engine check light on, only airbag light on...need help here cause i already check under seat there's only one wired and i think that is for seat belt
Check the wiring under both the passenger and drivers seats... The airbag connectors are usually yellow in color... The wiring gets loose...Disconnect your battery and Push each wire into the connector...Then reconnect your battery and see if the airbag light is off... That is all that I can recommend. If that doesn't work then you will have to take it to a shop because the airbag module could be defective.

I would say yes. Anytime you mess with the cars electronics it needs to be off and/or the battery disconnected. 💯👊🏾

Technically you don’t have to remove the seat. I did it for a better view. If the airbag light is on they will not deploy in an accident. Plus repair shops or dealerships charge at least $100 per hour. 💯😅

Do what????? What did you do besides take seat out and tape a couple connectors....you didn't say what they are
Those are the airbag sensor connectors under the seat. The wires were loose causing the airbag light to be on... So I secured them and the light went off.... All of that is explained in the long video.
Yes, showed very clearly being sure connection was tight, then taped it so it wouldn't loosen easily in future! Thanks for that.

I tried this on my '09 Honda Accord this evening. It didn't work!
Did you try it under both driver and passenger seats? It’s not a guaranteed fix. That’s why I said, “Try this first”… if it is still on after checking both seats then there is another issue you should get checked out. At least you have ruled out the simple fix before spending money. Have a good one Bro! 💯👊🏾
@@ogsuperflygarage I know what you said, I'm just saying it didn't work for me. I unbolted both seats and unplugged all three connectors under each seat. I took off the old electrical tape on the yellow connectors under each seat and rewrapped them with brand new electrical tape. Then I plugged everything back in and bolted the seats back down. It didn't fix anything.
