My uncle ran his old iPhone over with the lawnmower and I can tell you first hand he’s honestly not far off that’s a real possibility
i feel like if it did get run over a lawn mower the iphone would get stuck inside and the lawn mower wouldnt be working

Motherboard damage. The motherboard got damaged and that’s the hardest repair to do, if not impossible.

You can try separating the plates either by applying heat or with a motherboard plate, after separating them you can buy the iSocket in ebay or aliexpress, what this device does is use the plates separated but connected with each other with pins and flexors and you will recover both phones cheer hugh

The motherboards can still be sold for at least 150$. The touchscreen issue is solvable and rebending the two mainboard layers can be done

Hugh - Your videos are extremely well done and greatly appreciated. Is it possible to transplant a motherboard from one iPhone 8 to another iPhone 8? Would it show the stored contacts, calendar, etc? Also, I have an iPhone 8 that is only showing a logo screen when the charger is plugged in even though I just installed a new battery. What does that mean? Many thanks!
The 2nd phone is the iphone 30, battery, screen and other components are sold separately.

Yes, they can be, use a SMD rework station or heating pad to separate both parts of logic board and reassemble.

I accidentally bent my 6s Plus and then bent it back into shape about a year and a half ago. Still works to this day with no issues and you can’t even tell it was damaged.

The baseband hardware is located on the bottom board so it makes sense as to why that first phone is showing that error. I really wanna get better at board repair so I can work on this kind of stuff

You can bend the board back. However, it can cause more damage by breaking more traces.
Also, the display connector is faulty, we do not know.
And finally, you can salvage everything from them.
And can it run crysis

It’s the touch ic that went bad. Very common issue on the iPhone XS. I’ve seen plenty of them slightly bent with the same issue

Hey man you just inspire me to repair my own broken phones but i also want to do this with broken phones that i can buy online. But where do you buy these phones.
There are a lot of board level repair shops... my advice to you is to send motherboards so they can fix them and you can do the assembly part and still make profit
Its been a year already,but do you managed to repair it?the solder pad (lily pad) from the baseband board probably rips thats the reason the touch doesn’t works.theres a way to do it,you just need to check quantities on the touch flex on the motherboard using multimeter and download normal values pictures of the touch fpc on the internet.you only need to separate the board and do jumpers and the phone would work back as it should.
Shame you were unable to get it fully working, but it's a testament to the build quality of these devices that it worked at all after such a catastrophic event.
You show us that everything has some value, thank you Hugh, because this is the philosophy we need to adopt to save our planet.

Unfortunately, I had bought an iPhone x with the same issue but got it fixed through a local repair shop but after that found out it was locked to the previous owner. So was unsuccessful but a lesson for me.

Could you try to bake the logic boards to fix some solder connections? Sometimes it works for damaged GPU‘s
Send it to repair guru or iRepairs store in Malaysia. They can fix the motherboard with any problem.

First time I’ve seen him not able to repair something.
My iPhone X had same problem the touch didn't worked after i just dropped it by a table, the lower Motherboard got bent and even audio was lost. Thankfully it got repaired ( replaced the lower motherboard) here in india and everything seems to be working fine.
Hugh (or anyone else), do you have 30 seconds for some quick iPhone X advice or pointers, please? I successfully replaced the cracked screen (including serial number ID code transfer) on my daughter's iPhone X, but a few months later it was dropped from knee height, landing vertically in its thin rubber case on the lightning socket end. No visible damage at all.
From then, the screen stopped working, so I opened it, checked all the ribbon plugs/sockets and even put the old cracked screen back, but still nothing.
However, it still plays the alarm-tune every morning and rings when you call it, but the "Play Sound" feature of "Find My iPhone" is still waiting for an internet connection, even though there is a valid SIM installed.
If you disconnect and reconnect the battery you can touch the screen 6 times before it does a taptic wobble so the passcode still seems operative. You get a taptic wobble if you plug in a charger, but it doesn't show in iTunes if you connect it to a PC using a Lightning cable that worked with the same iTunes a few minutes earlier with a different iPhone.
