Emmanuel Goldstein i recently got interested by this after fixing my mother’s macbook pro with the help of tutorial on youtube ! I might try to make some cash by buying broken stuff and repair them :) and also its fun ! Its like solving a puzzle :)

And let's not forget that there are fees and postage costs to pay on each sale.
I don't know what it is like in Australia, but in the UK it is 10% in eBay fees plus 3.4% in PayPal fees + 20p PayPal admin fee.
So anything below about £5 including postage costs (certainly in the UK) will not net much income, if any, due to the expensive courier options in the IL (and the price goes up year on year for postage).

@@345Faydo tbh more or less anything made in the last 10-15 years is fixable from YT component level repairs included and even for old stuff you can find yt guides when they wont have any surviving documentation
$5 for the DVD, that sounds damn optimistic 😅
It’s despicable me 3 should be sold for about 0.05 usd
for the DVD by itself in unknown condition you'd be lucky to get even 20 cents for it
For everything else is way too optimistic.
But if you sell all your DVD drives, how are you going to watch 16 DVD's at a time? you could watch like 4 seasons of a show in 20mins. Excellent time saving move right there.
Or a giganthor rip/burn setup.

Idea: update that iPhone 7 and checkra1n into it and browse through the filesystem (ssh via USB) to find the Apple ID (there’s a tool for that somewhere online too) to contact the owner

@@Elosee It's nearer to $65 USD if you check on Google. I think the seller managed to sell their trash for a fairly high price.... that's clearly a load of old workshop junk.

buddy I did not imply it isn't worth more, it's just not worth 8x more. Also it doesn't hold more value "because it's fact", it holds more value because somehow you guys managed to not mess up your economy enough for it to hold less value yet (very surprising!).

Not bad, not bad at all - though remember that eBay do take a commission; with eBay and PayPal combined, it is currently 12.90% + £0.30 (don't know what it is in other countries). You'll also have to bear in shipping costs.
Also, some of the smaller parts, that you said weren't worth a lot, can still be reused. If the speakers sound OK, they can be used in portable electronic projects if you don't have a spare Mac to put them in.
that's IF he finds buyers. If I sold everything I don't need, in theory I'd be rich! Time to pop the champagne open!

@@weene875 a locked working motherboard that has broken connectors is hardly a working iphone 7 though. It can't be worth more than a few dollars at best.

Hi Hugh, if you use a vacuum on the speaker cones they will pop back into shape.

honestly you could probably fix the speaker cones by using a vacuum cleaner to pull them back into shape, just put your fingers down around it to control the suction so it doesn't suck the cone completely out.
Hey mate, i used to repair electronics and if a board was corroded we used an ultrasonic cleaner which are cheap now, it loosens up all the corrosion. Good luck
9:51 those are usb ports from a powerbook g4 aluminum, could be the 15 or 17 inch models
To fix speakers like that use a tiny bit of super glue on a q-tip, and just pull it out very gently, and then twist it off

there is a way to delete an icloud account with find my iphone on with the iphone 4 on ios 7.1.2
you need to swipe the find my iphone off while spamming delete account and after both are pressed in you can tab out and the account is gone.
there's tutorials on youtube for them and you dont need to download anything (only works if its past the setup)
Nielsjan9 I don’t think that’s a permanent fix , and usually with the bypasses you can’t make calls and the come back once it’s factory reset .

I've got an iPhone6 water damaged.After taking it from water it was tried to be charged but it was damaged then we took ot to a restoration shop and they said it won't be used as a mobile anymore so we used it over wifi after that .Now it doesn't even charge and showes only apple logo and goes to a dark blue screen an turns off again if it put it to charge so,I need help abot it
Hey hugh, I know this isn't something you normally do but could you check out a series of videos from "Apple tech 752" they are developing an iCloud bypass for iCloud locked iPhones, I think once this is perfected it will really open up the iPhone refurbishing/ repair scene.

Axel Espinal I The method won’t work on anything below 13.3 because Apple has restricted SpringBoard from launching any applications so it’ll be a brick with a lock screen and display icons.

That speaker, if still on but sounds bad, you can try to seal that broken membrane using thin layer of "rubbery glue"

Hi :) I have an iPhone 6 that had a screen changed not from Apple. At one point the whole screen broke :(. It still vibrates when it is put on charge. The screen probably just got disconnected. Try reconnecting it
what alcohol do you use for the logic boards?
Replace WiFi chip in that iPhone 4. It's not a baseband issue.

You should be able to downgrade some iPhone 4’s with De Rebus Antiquis even without blobs. You could use that to downgrade back to iOS 6 (or down to 4.0 if desired)
