Incredible footage. I spent most of my childhood in North Wales hearing these beauties flying overhead every single day whilst at school and college. Conveniently lunch time on the playground was always like a beautiful thunderstorm rolling by. Absolutely love the sound of the F-15s. When we lived in Morfa Bychan right on the coast, I remember one morning I woke up to the whole house shaking. They flew something absolutely massive REALLY low. Wouldnt surprise me if it was one of these at 4:52 but what a feeling that left on me. I wanted more than anything to serve as a pilot in the RAF when I was younger (my eyesight is unfortunately poor) after having the pleasure to watch and hear these fantastic pilots and gorgeous aircraft for nearly ten years every day.
My Favourite Mach Loop Video where you can see Fighter Aircraft Low Level ua-cam.com/video/INcWJYFvSkQ/v-deo.html
do you go there in the hope the planes come, or are they there most days

My FAVORITE is the twilight Heli in the Mach-Loop!

F15 is the most beautiful aircraft ever.
I’m just gonna say it.
The scenery of the Mach Loop is every bit as cool as these aircraft.
Its’s North Wales, in the UK. I live about 40 mins away from here.
One of my many reason's I join the the US Air Force back in 1979 is that I love watching combat aircraft. Love the sound they make. And I even got a chance to go TDY a few times to Edwards AFB, California and hear and feel those sonic boom's. Watched two Space Shuttle landings. And even better, The open house / Air show's I got to see at a lot of other Air Force bases. Now Retired, I live north west of Buckeye, Arizona and I can watch F-16 and F-35's fly by my home from Luke AFB every day. Love your videos, The sound , The pitchers. The sound of Freedom.
Love watching this video it’s so good!...& the last shot is perfect the sound the positioning the aircraft & that sunset!..... perfect 👌
I was a Marine platoon commander in Vietnam in 1969. Marine, Navy, and Air Force fighters saved our ass more than once and kept the enemy's heads down during our attacks. I will forever be thankful for them and I get choked up seeing them fly today 51 years later.
I live on the prom of Jersey River and these up river all time. Never fails to give me goosebumps. Thank for great videos Elwyn. Love Wales 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I’m grateful that the Americans keep a lot of fighters on our soil
Thanks for that!
Well we are your biggest baddest child. Despite that that disagreement we had in 1776 we are still family.
jay p now we’re leaving the EU let’s hope we can do a trade deal that’s beneficial to both sides
Bobby Brady oh yes we are!
Bobby Brady haha, I’m already in the UK, but thanks for your invitation!
This is the most wicked video series of the World Renowonded Mach Loop. Thanks to everyone who takes these incredible video and shots especially. Great eyes and particularly the follow of these planes. BRAVO
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@ElwynR I'm a guy in a wheelchair I climb the heights with you in more ways than you might think. I'm a life long medium and I fly nightly to the places I want to see the most. I have lived next to Canadian Forces Air Bases and have been to many airshows while I was more able physically able.
I especially love the Mach Loop with her screaming aircraft. I follow each and every post with Awe
Starscream looking good as ever.
The F-15 is such an aesthetically pleasing airframe
And the F-16, must have been designed with human flair not computer efficiencies.
Seeing the C-130 flying the mach loop reminded me of the time after I retired from the Marine Corps that I was an independent consultant supporting DARPA technology programs for US special operations. I was tasked to train SOCEUR on a new software planning application. To test the software, I was invited on a SOCEUR exercise to both observe how the new planning sofrware worked but also to be the technical support to fix or work around any problems.
It was a no notice exercise so I was in Germany for a few days before the execute order was given. We left Stuttgart airport in the late afternoon an flew in special forces Combat Talon C-130's at near tree top level to an abandon Soviet air base in Romania.
I don't need to go into the exercise itself, but it was a complex hostage rescue operation from two locations simultaneously. Very realistic.
I was the only tech guy on the exercise so I had to support both the day and night shifts. I got almost no sleep for 10 days. I was exhausted.
When we arrived back at Stuttgart, I check into a hotel and decided to take a hot bath with a beer from the minibar.
The next afternoon I woke up in the bathtub, there was full bottle of beer on the edge of the tub, it was obvious that the maid had been there, cleaned the bathroom and made the bed.
I often wonder what the maid thought when she walked into the bathroom and saw a shriveled up body in a tub of cold water with an full beer on the edge of the tub. Oh, and I missed my flight back to the US.
I had and I'm still having a great time in life. At 74 I've slowed down a bit, but have so many more unusual stories to remember. I had a pretty wild ride in life and I loved every minute.
I am so thankful that I didn't have a real desk job. Yes, there were times in the Marine Corps and after I retired from the Marines that I had some time behind a desk, but the majority of my time in the Marines and after I retired was in the field. The greatest honor in my life is to have led Marines, especially in combat. After i retired from the Marines, I supported special operations forces and national mission forces for another 26 years before I retired permanently.
The main reason I retired permanently on Dec 31, 2015 is because the travel requirements were getting to be to much. In the last half of 2015, I was on the road 23 out of the previous 25 weeks. On 31 Dec 2015, I decided to hang up my shootin' irons and live out the rest of my life in peace. I live in Florida. I have a nice house and beautiful yard. The winters are very mild. Everything is green and blooming year round. I enjoy lunches on the bay/beach at my favorite cafes eating crab boil shrimp and a glass of white wine. I smoke ribs and everything else in my backyard. I cook great Chinese, Spanish, Mexican, German, and other dishes. I love cooking. Perhaps because it's such a difference from the carnage of combat. I don't know.
All I know is that cooking, smoking, and grilling are very relaxing and enjoyable compared to my previous life. However, I do watch my calories. At 74 I'm still the same weight as I was when I was a captain in the Marines. It's not all in the same place, but that's pretty good for being 74.
Machloop F15s are always the best ones but they were my fav long before youtube... just thanks for all of these videos they are all amazing
My pleasure!
👍 Nice video! The sight of these modern aircraft flying through those ancient hills and valleys is stunning.
that was a great collection, I really appreciate you taking the time to share it with us.

Exceptional footage Elwyn! Nice sunset at the end too. Wonderful!

Wow ! Those Magnificent Men/Women In Their Flying Machines... Thanks for sharing such moments with us, a happy new year from Norway.
cheers, and Happy Nwe Year
Absolutely beautiful Elwyn! Thank you for taking us there with you
Incredible footage! I remember such trainings in Switzerland in the late 1980s when we were hiking in the mountains and the jets were flying low, but I had no camcorder then. Thanks for your movies!
Great work Elwyn. Those F15's look like pure evil. Great aircraft even if it is getting old.
Happy new year Elwyn! Great vid as always! Keep on posting for the next decade! Love your vids! Cheers!
cheers Ted, Happy New Year
Lovely to see some new angles, great work. Sometimes the same old angle from others gets boring.
I’m a kid and I just went up the Mach loop today and me and my dad were up there for an hour and nothing came. So we went down and these 2 hawks went flying past us around thirty metres above us. It was so cool
Thanks for the Incredible photography and braving the elements to get that for us.
Man! that Osprey can really move!!!so deceptive, Good job Elwyn!!
cheers
Never gets old. Thank you. BTW, nice sunset shot!
Siempre me han gustado los aviones .los pilotos .son super bakanes.para manejar esas tremendas makinas ..felicitaciones ..lo mas grande f.f .a

Happy new year to every body on here, another great video Elwyn love it all the time..
Wow F15 had to be the most elegant design of all time
The different styles are so amazing. Smooth or aggressive.
Paint scheme reminds of the ww2 p47 thunderbolts in europe cool! Great job guys! Old school NEVER DIES.
FANFRIGGIN' FANTASTIC!😲
👍🇺🇸❤👏👨✈️
The D-day Invasion stripes on that F-15 were spot on😉😊!
My Dad landed on Omaha Beach around 0400, sure would have appreciated air support like that 75 years ago.......
R.I.P. Dad 'Ranger's led the way!
Brilliant video, the F15 is one of my favourite aircraft and I used to see quite a few of them when I was growing up in East Anglia. I liked the Union flag at 00:55 particularly as it was part of an Australian flag.
I'm pretty sure the backseater has an Aussie flag at the 1:00 min mark!
@@philcarr7969 Quite right, classic typo! First glimpse at 00:55. Thanks
Last one - defo one of the best! Love the Chinook (been working a few times in and around Grassington a few years back and had Apache gunships with Chinooks doing passes with the odd C130 low enough to keep you on the ball!)
Camera work close up on that f16 was amazing oh my god thanks for this page
Thanks for the top notch footage as always and Happy New Year!
Top quality pictures! Glad I found your channel
Breathless! Beautiful airmanship all around!
Last footage was so cinematographic !
Thank you for sharing theses spectacular videos.
cheers
The Apache was so well-built and ahead of it's time. The Apache is still one of the best Gunships out there, and it entered Service quite a few years ago!!!
That heritage paint scheme on the F-15s looks awesome - maybe not the best camouflage, but "eye candy" for sure! 😍
Awesome footage, awesome camera work. Thankyou. Pleasure to watch.
Nice looking F-15s with the stripes, nice video and clarity. 😎
thanks for the great shots will never get over there so will use your work to keep me happy. Have a great 2020 stay safe and enjoy yourself see ya
AWWWWWSOME. I love those shots.
Great to watch.
Lovely touch from the F15 pilot to have the Union flag on display.
Welcome to Wales all you ladies and gentlemen from the US Air Force. 👍
Cheers, I believe its the Australian Flag, but we had to zoom in to find that out
Superb compilation
F-15s with invasion stripes!!!! That is really cool!
Yep, 492d Fighter Squadron from RAF Lakenheath.
Is that an F-15SE? It didnt look like an E
With what just happened, we may see more of those stripes. Shit just got real.
Keith Wagenknight There were 2 Es and 1C that were given D day stripes, one from each of the 492, 3 and 4th squadrons.
Excellent footage Elwyn..... look forward what you bring us 2020. =-)
Thank you for your time and effort filming this and putting these clips together. GREAT VIDEO.

Amazing footage keep up the awesome work
Think about it - 46 years later, the F15's are still a major force to be reckond with! Such a beautiful and well made bird.
Agreed i remember them first coming to England to RAF alconbury i was visiting to see the F 4s and F 5s from the aggressor sqn the eagle's came in from bitburg in Germany good days
@@steveholmes5207 ...you're right. I was at Bitburg when it closed and got reassigned to RAF Lakenheath. The 493rd Reapers were made up mostly of planes and personnel from Bit as it closed in 1994. I was lucky enough to get 2 years at Bit and 6.5 years with the 48 CRS/PMEL (RAF Feltwell).
@@jackwertz8301 well as you can see to an eagle back in those days was like seeing a space ship lol and not exactly sure of the date but its definitely over 40 year's ago the fact they had F4.s there and F 5.s tells that to me i sat in a F 4 and F 5 and the F 4 was standard brown and green definitely Vietnam era colours and the F 5.s where camouflaged brown and light brown numbered individually on the nose and they where also camouflaged grey and dark grey or bluey grey i know they still use F 5.s but the F4 s are long gone and all the early F15.s are gone and the C.s don't have long but the E will live on and the F 15 X will come and that old saying don't fix it when its not broken lol
@@jackwertz8301 saying that jack i wasn't in the military i was only visiting with an aviation society when you could do that then and always remember the USAF staff being amazing and only asked one thing for us not to take pictures of the hardened aircraft shelters a small price to pay the aircraft on the other hand no problems
@@steveholmes5207 ...right. I used to go to Alconbury, Molesworth, and Upwood for onsite calibrations in the mid-late 90s. It was a shame to see the flying operation cease around 95 or so if I recall.
One thing that did catch my eye was an SR-71 just off one of the runways. I know Mildenhall had Det 4 SRs but didn't realize any went to Alconbury.
Wow Amazing clips Thanks for sharing
Thanks for visiting

Awesome video! I would love to visit someday. I grew up right by an airbase, and I always enjoyed watching the A-10's and KC-135's that flew in and out of there.
Love the mach loop, and the sunset shot was epic

Hello! I have a question for you. Do you have any recommendations on how to adjust settings for taking photos of jet planes when they are landing, without a tripod.
Thank you in advance!☺️
Absolutely fantastic video!.. the snow covered hills wow beautiful!... that 1st set of four is Top Gun all over!... & the F16s are they going the other way through cad?...
