Well its been a difficult year with the Pandemic halting most avation events! but I have been able to venture up the local Hill's with some decent Day's!
It has been very quite on the Hills and very difficult to have any motivation with everything that is going on in the World!
Most of the footage was shot with a Sony AX53 but I have a new Panasonic HC-X1500 4K

Exactly! It was the first plastic model I made when I was 10, 40 years ago. I'm 50 now and the F15 still flies. What a fantastic plane
Wonderful flying , good pilots in fantastic aircraft. Would it not be unbeatable to see a Spitfire or two do the Mach .A little slower but much lower with the sound of Merlins echoing down the valley?
They almost always get the plane banked over for a good picture. I saw one a few years back where a pilot put his email on the top of the canape so he could get the pics sent to him LOL!!

A visit to the mach loop was on my bucket list and so I went there for a week beginning 7th September, not one aircraft the whole week. I was so disappointed & made worse when I got back home (Newmarket) to hear there had been a weeks exercise at Lakenheath including night flying by F15 & F16's. I'm in awe of your video's Elwyn absolutely stunning work.
I was talking to the screen saying "Stills of the Strike Eagles!" And boom, gorgeous stills of Strike Eagles. Thank you!!

Long time fan of your videos Elwyn. So even if you cant make it it due to the pandemic I still rewatch the videos. =-)
I've grown up in Klamath Falls, Oregon (173rd Fighter Wing) and the sound of F15s in the air. They have a distinct scream to those engines. There's also a low whistle kinda thing that varies its tone, like one of those slide whistles you had as a kid. That part doesn't ever seem to come through in video. Or the vibration.
It's the contrast between a sprint to a jog through the loop; the fastbirds vs the heavies and choppers...Love it!

The F-15s create amazing vortices at high angle, high g banks
yes, with a bit of moisture in the air it can make for some spectacular vortices!
Just the way it looks. The way it flies in the air, you already knew f-15 is one heck of a plane.

It's in wales....we've just been last week for a couple of days...but unfortunately didn't see anything, apart from a couple of hawks flying about, a f15 tried to get in but cloud base too low.....beautiful scenery ....it is worth going but its pot luck if you see anything...

Do some research about flying times but prepare to be dissapointed , it can change very quickly due to the weather up there . If you are lucky its very impressive . Also go out to RAF Valley and wth the hawks take off , you can get fairly close , even get the backwash from them

The Sony ax53, I just wished Sony would bring a new version out that did 4k 50p with the same Image stabilization! its going to be difficult to beat that camera

Great vid. The A400’s, (well the same 3 or 4 according to Flightradar24) were around Newquay a lot last year, couple of C17’s too doing the same loops around Cornwall, Back in ‘90s the jets used to do real low runs around the valleys between Dartmoor and Bodmin moor, been scared silly many times as a kid, kinda miss it and Concorde booming by.
