Hi vismaya No need to worry about that As we South Indians usually given initials, where it is not used in expanded form in any major documents such as 10th marks card like that . But in passport we must expand the initials where in foreign countries wants our full name it gives clear identity about a particular person in those billions of people , so only in passport and also in PAN card we will expand our initials . so there is no worry about it . I went to passport appointment but there because of adhaar problem they told to come on may 10 along with my bank passbook which has my photo and sign of manager and seal of bank.

If that Bank didn't make those changes, then open new account in any other reputed National Bank with the correct name.

Name is not different in passport and certificates
As in certificate we give names with initials, but in passport we will expand those initials. So no problem it's perfectly alright.

For US visa where they have kept first name as FNU and last name as Chanchal.
I would recommend you to make your name complete by adding a last name to it on your passport and then apply for Visa. It can save you lot of effort you may have to do later.

Hello sir, my brother name is ABHINAV A. MAHAWAR, he has all the documents starting from birth certificate, school and college certificates with this name only. He is in class 11th now. Will there be any problem in getting PASSPORT with this middle name as abbreviation form. Here A. stands for our father name AKASH. We need to expand it in passport or have to drop it. After that we need to change the name in all certificates. Won't there be any problem in getting VISA for USA or other EUROPEAN country with middle abbreviation name. Please clarify.
