I have a master’s in computer animation, with a concentration in Autodesk Maya. I don’t anyone here quite understands how impossible something like this is to make alone. The modeling of the creatures alone could take a year, full-time. Writing the concepts, set design, textures, lighting, render passes, hell, the music? If you said 8 months, I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around that. I would use Maya and Next Limit, and put it together with After Effects. Truly astounding work.
Jesus, not everything has to be "Netflix". 1. Things like this should be accessible to EVERYONE, not everyone has stable internet to watch netflix, not everyone can afford Netflix. 2. What is Netflix gonna do? Hire this dude for one season then replace him with some other dude. 3. Netflix is overrated, it really is, they do what works and that completely destroys creativity and originality. Melodysheep is too good for Netflix, his work is too good for Netflix. If you want whats best for him then support him in every way you can. Netflix aint and wont be it. This is what I wish people imagined when they think of the word 'alien'. As ubiquitous as the 'alien invaders' idea seems to be it also is one of the most far fetched possibilities when it comes to aliens. There are so many unimaginable forms life could take that would be far more fascinating! Thank you so much for creating this beautiful visualization of what could be, a very creative and talented mind at work here :)
Sent this to a friend and he responded with "im more into fantasy then sifi". Had to explain that this was all based off real science and talked about what's possible under the laws of nature. I mentioned to my girlfriends mom that I dont believe in ghosts, and she said "you believe in aliens and not ghosts?!?!?" As if aliens were some far fetched idea.
@@neoneonize But in what way? 1. The chances of intelligent life are rare, even then having the same mindset and abilities as us. Of course, any intelligent life will know it needs resources, but I doubt they will have the same Hollywood invasion attack. From there planet, wars may be very different. There's may have the honor or certain rules. They may have developed very different weapons, perhaps using DNA (it probably won't be DNA like ours) to change "blades" on themselves.
Fabio Guidi nah if aliens have the same mindset as us they will also want to preserve life. And a collaboration with another species would gain much more benefits.
@@Phantom-bh5ru I could see it going both ways. For example, if we make contact with other civilizations, I feel at first we won't fight or anything, we'll want to trade knowledge, figure out how each other work at a biological and chemical level. Colonizing the moon and mars, and eventually beyond that. I saw this video the day it came out and am happily watching it again (for the fifth time) tonight. That's the stuff children should see in school. The majority is not proved, it's mostly theories but in the end that's what makes us reach for the stars. That's what makes us think about our universe.
Exactly. It's absolutely stupid how schools work. They should be keeping your curiosity alive and well not squash it down with bullshit. They need to be teaching about how life works, not shit we will never use.
I would freak if I saw this when I was younger. This would be the coolest thing to me. My only complaint about this video is the weird bonds that are made in some of the animations, for the most part when going into detail the diagrams and stuff are correct but sometimes theres just weird shapes on the molecular scale that make no sense. Anyway, if I was a kid I wouldn't know that that was wrong and I'd think it'd look cooler than the more real structures.
I’m not sure why people are assuming so much of this channel lmao. First, this was a big budget video. Second, it’s not just some guy it’s a whole team of people. Third, they make plenty of money from the videos they’ve made so far and they probably make money in other ways outside of UA-cam.
That was amazing! I love some of the small details like the caption effects. I had to rewind to make sure I wasn't hallucinating lol. Super cool. Fine tuning the small details, that goes to show just how much passion and dedication goes into your work. So much thought-provoking content. Imagine where humanity as a whole might be if we (and in particular those who are most 'successful') weren't always so busy fighting amongst ourselves... We could already be out there, with synthetic life of our own, exploring the universe far beyond our current capabilities. Makes me want to play No Man's Sky or watch Lost In Space again... Heh.

There are certainly other possibilities, but if aliens have a mindset similar to ours, alien invasion isn’t far fetched at all.
