For 60 years now, we have probed the skies for signs of alien intelligence, longing for connection -- to no avail. But new ideas and technologies are beginning to change the game.
Proudly presenting the third chapter in the Life Beyond trilogy: In Search of Giants.
In this journey, we will see how far we’ve come in the search for intelligent life, how they might be communicating, just how advanced they might be, and what it would mean if we really did make contact.
It might take thousands of years to make a discovery. But as long as the mystery endures, the search for giants will continue. It's in our blood to want to know.

I've been considering it. I have a fictional universe where I have written a bunch of one-off short stories about extrasolar star systems. I also have two large scale novel-like stories (both unfinished) that take place in the same universe. Wouldn't take much to compile all the short stories into a single compendium of stories and publish it. I would have to actually proof read them, though. Most of the short stories haven't been touched since they were originally written.

I look up and imagine our own future, of us being the first. The species to propagate life throughout the galaxy. Because I truly do believe we are the first, and if that's true, it is a moral imperative that we correct our mistakes here by spreading life and creating a million billion trillion times more radiation events across the stars than Earth could ever come up with on their own. Where many species have gone extinct, an unfathomable times more will be created. All thanks to us.
Or we'll invent super intelligence and it'll go rouge and annihilate everything in the traversable universe. But I'm hoping for the first outcome!

30 min into the film I don't agree with most of what is being said: if extremely intelligent life out there exists and is "in charge of it's sun and/or even its galaxy" they would be smart enough to not have our waste problem. The visuals look cool but they don't depict anything new, what they show is worlds smiliar as ours except Star Wars look alike or extincted jurassic era.
I have not yet seen an actual idea of the intelligent ... it's all based on the idea that those folks, " the intelligent aliens "have evolved they way we have using stones and steel hence wates creators.
I'd like to think that if there was some freaky alien outhere it would be the kind that would jump on a star and ride it from galaxy to galaxy while we silly people look up at it and think "ooh look it's a comet" and he be like " amm yeah just on my way to see my gf"

Too often , shows on the Discovery channel repeat the same tired concepts, exposing their limitations of creativity. Maybe they do that for an uneducated audience. You guys are so out of the box, it really gets the viewer to expand one's own ideas about whats possible. The visuals, the presentation, even some of the nods to sci-fi are just brilliant. Artists who converted thoughts and ideas into sequence of images and animation r no less than scientists. Having melodysheep's videos free on UA-cam is no less than a luxurious treat.
From the very fst second to the last i literally tried not to flinch as i might miss something i wud never find somewhere else. Absolutely a Master piece crafted by a talent beyond thoughts.

How are they equal to a scientist who does the actual studies

    • @umerbutt8852
      @umerbutt8852 2 роки тому +3

Ofcourse they r not, it was just a way to praise someone work. Artists who took the ideas and concepts and then converted into images and animation r not low intellect for sure. Giving ideas a physical shape is no ordinary, believe me. For example, for a long time Leonardo de vinci was known as an artists but when time proved his work, now hes remember as artists, scientist, engineer, theorist, sculptor and architect. Hope u get the answer

yeah, you are right, not all of us can draw, sing, dance, make a sculpture, become an inventor, or mathematician, every one of us is different from others and with all different abilities and specialties.

Videos like this help me reimagine my perspective on life and place in the universe, providing a way of thinking and outlook that transcends conventional corporeal views, yet not being excessively existential. It’s a wonderful balance of harmony and you covered things PERFECTLY.
John, absolutely flawless and majestic work on this masterpiece of a series. This channel in general is DEFINITELY one of the VERY BEST on this entire website. You are a true artist and a privilege to all of us.
Thank you for doing what you do, _melodysheep._

Very true. It makes you wonder why this dude has only 2 million subs at the moment. He deserves at least ten times this many minimum. We need more creators that go way past the extra mile like melodysheep. These productions are of exceptional quality and deserve much more recognition, such as in the hundreds of millions of views. Hopefully one day John will achieve this. He most certainly deserves it.

John, this is absolutely a masterpiece. I wanted to pause each and every scene and jump into the worlds you beautifully created. Seriously, this is a sci-fi lover's dream. The soundtrack may go underappreciated because of that, but that doesn't make it any less incredible. I'm listening to the album right now just to focus on the wondrous aura of your music.
10000% worth the wait, please never stop doing what you're doing! The quality of your work is unreal.
