I’ve had the NUX Tape core deluxe for a few years and it’s excellent for its low cost, well made, great parameters edit controls, sounds great and adds so much character, depth, warmth, feel, creativity todo much. Probably my favourite effect and pedal. I’ve used and had various Luther NUX pedals and I’ve been impressed with them all. The MG30 multi effect pedal also has so many great effects, tones, features for a budget piece of gear, you get so much high end effects and tones for its low cost.
I have a lot of the top of the line pedals/modellers but I'm loving my NUX MG-30, especially for the amp models (using a pack from Choptones). It's fantastic! The delays and reverbs on it are simple but work great. But for the price, this thing is phenomenal! I'm hoping they include this tape echo algorithm in a future firmware upgrade.
Awesome intro. Love that percussion build. ❤ Nux is an interesting company for sure. They make a lot of cheap, but good sounding pedals. then they have some higher quality products as well like this tape echo, and the Nux Amp Academy which people swear by for a powerful amp modeler in pedal format. Never tried any of their pedals though, but not going to lie, i am curious
Wow...sounds like a company that makes pacifiers for infants, but thats a great tape delay audio you got there. I had an actual tape Echoplex in the 70s and it sounded like that...100%. I bought their stereo phaser core about ten years ago,for 25$, used, and it is the best. I had a new MXR phase 90, and the Nux KILLED IT, so i traded it away, quick. Ive got a bunch of old Leslie cabs too, and even though nothing beats an actual spinning speaker, this little thing is staying on my pedal board. The leslies are heavy and noisey, and a lot of work to maintain, but this thing does the trick. In stereo too.. $25...
I’ve had the NUX Time Force w/display screen & presets since it came out. I’ve never had an issue with it. I actually just ordered this Tape Echo and I can’t wait
Nu-x are good. The Atlantic reverb and delay is another great pedal and also the Amp Academy which is their budget Iridium but it's a great little unit. Also, my favourite intro of yours sir. Well played as always
Great video. I thought I had a Strymon Deco shaped hole on my board but now you have me thinking about Nux. I see this also has saturation and wow and flutter controls.
The pedal is indeed impressive, but if you are on a tight budget NUX make the NUX Tape Core Deluxe it has the same voicing. It is in a standard 'b' size box it does not include the reverb. It is however one half the price :-)
Thanks, I was wondering if there's any difference in sound comparing the ndd7 and tape core. The tape core is half the price but I've heard build-quality issues from some people who say their tape cores stopped working
Beste Sasha, heeft de pedaal soft temporary knoppen? Ik heb spierproblemen en te harde knoppen lukken niet te best voor mijn voeten. Groeten uit België!
It is good! There is always more than meets the eye. Remember, the Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal and the Ibanez TS10 were once upon time dirt cheap, with the TS10 being seen as "cheaply made plastic crap" for a good two decades. John Mayer puts both the TS10 and Bluesbreaker on his board and now all of a sudden they are both seen as "glorious, lush, illustrious pedals made from the hands of god" and command a huge premium(I've owned a BB MKI and MIJ TS10. They sound good, yes, but they have A LOT of faults and many pedals on the market today are far superior). John Mayer also put a Mooer pedal on his board once upon a time.
@@SashaIvantic the foot switch on the 10 series was awful, absolutely awful. You’d have to stomp it reasonably hard to turn the pedal on. The input and output jacks also required some caution
I do think they make their name confusing. I only recently found out that they pronounce it "New-X". I would have never guessed that just by reading it. 🤣
It's a truly awful name, which seems to hurt their reputation. They get roped in with Mooer and Donner and Flamma or whatever. In reality they are closer to GFI System, etc. They should have named the company Boutique Electronic Circuitry, Inc. -- I bet they would sell a lot better.
How tf do I get that incredible huge recorded tone that you get? I’m about to build a new rig. Like if there’s one big secret or a couple of things you do in post or something… like, what could it be??
A LOT of room sound in the cab sim. The TAE cabs, mics and room mics are insane. And you hook it up in stereo, that’s how you get the depth. I also use three reverbs. A plate on my board with a short decay and low mix, the spring from the amp and a long decay plate with medium mix in the TAE. I can dial that in to taste with the reverb knob on the TAE.
And everything is basically good. I remember when I started playing 20 years ago there was a lot of shitty stuff. Imagine having a Boss Katana as your first amp. You will grow up not knowing what shitty tone is.

I always liked the Tape Core Deluxe, so I'm not surprised this one sounds nice as well👌
I've got a few Nux pedals. I've been using them live and they deliver. Very useful and they don't break the bank.

I had the same experience

Never used one of their pedals, but they have the best reasonably priced wireless guitar transmitter/receiver on the market.

That intro tune was seriously great! Count me as a fan.

Thanks Toby! I should try more of their pedals.
Yes, I've been using the Atlantic for about 2 or 3 years now. Great pedal.
Great video. I thought I had a Strymon Deco shaped hole on my board but now you have me thinking about Nux. I see this also has saturation and wow and flutter controls.
It should fit that hole perfectly!
I love this pedal. Nux really punch above their weight.
Couldn't agree more. Really curious to see what they're going to do with firmware updates.
sound really good, good composition🎼🎶🎵

I have this one aswell. The big brother wasn‘t released at that time. And I have to say, it’s a steal!!

This is not correct! It also has reverb, just activate it in the editor and save it to the pedal.
Epic leads 👍🏻👍🏻fantastic tones great video ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I had no idea nux made such good delay 😊
Maybe I haven’t read enough on this, but does this unit take MIDI PC commands? Does it store presets?
Best demo on the NUX so far😁👍🇬🇧🎸
Awesome playing! As a fan of tape echo, I would also like to hear your opinion on Nux Tape Core Deluxe.

Dude I remember the TS10 as a “steer clear” pedal. You could buy them for 20 euros and then the seller was lucky to get rid of it 🤦♂️

And thank you for the kind words ❤️
I got one used for 100€ and it's a steal for that money.
For me is no need to pay 400€ for the Boss.
i don’t know how much longer i can afford to subscribe to your tube Sasha💸💸💸😊😊
Haha! I'll do some more affordable pedals so you can be here a little longer 😜
Their Roctary pedal kills!
Just FYI.... NUX is pronounced "New X"....not "Nucks"
They can do so much, so cheap these days... What a time to be alive!

For real!
I returned mine lmao
Ho. What's the guitar reference?
