"They should not get pets if they cannot take care of them" is a sentiment I one hundred percent agree with! Good on this piggie's rescuer for taking in this lovely little lady!
Yes for sure. My Sweet Teddy Nugget always had the most problems out of all of my babies. They’re so sweet, I can definitely see why they’re called teddies ❤️
I absolutely love to watch ear cleanings. It was so satisfying to see all the gunk come out. I'll hope the little piggie will feel so much better after this treatment. Thank you for all the great work you and your team do, Saskia. :)
I love ear cleaning videos. All types of ears. I’m not a fan of guinea pigs but I’ve seen some good cleaning videos of their ears lately. Why do you think we like them so much? What do you think about these videos appeals to us? Cuz I have no ideas why I love these types of videos. 🤷🏻♀️
This video made up for the other crusty ear video that Avery didn’t zoom in on for the big chunks. This was great! I’m so happy that this pig is with a new owner that will actually care for her. What a sweetheart! ❤
It’s so nice that you’re there to help God’s little creatures live a more comfortable life. This little piggie is one of the fortunate few who find their way to such expert care! 😍
tweezers if blunt might work to take out the gunk from the ear but I kinda agree with Saskia on this, sometimes its just easier using your bare finger to get a better grasp
The piggy is saying: "lady, leave me alone! Pick your own ears!" 😅 I love watching gunk cleanings on guinea pigs ❤️ Poor little thing will look so beautiful in a couple of weeks 🙏❤️
I love what all you do for guinea pigs and Dr.Nenn. I understand why she won't be there on Saturdays, but I kind of hate that she won't be. I do totally understand why. Spending time with family is important. I get it. Going to miss seeing her on the lives, but hoping we'll get to see her in your regular videos during the week. I just feel like having a vet there at your rescue and on camera with what she does there will hopefully get more vets to get to know you and exchange knowledge. More vets could really learn so much more about guinea pig care. On any hand. It is because of the awesome work you do and your dedication to rescuing and caring for a guinea pigs and educating people on this,. It shows in your work. Whether its stone removal, teeth trimming, to puss removal etc, that you do certainly have the respect from some vets and many, many people. This the best guinea pig advice out there and it is so appreciated.💯🐹🐹
I adore Teddies, and even more so if they have red eyes! Teddies seem to have the sweetest personalities and this lovely girl is no exception. Thank you for all you do for these piggies, Saskia!
I find cleaning the teddy ears so satisfying lol. I have a herd of Teddies and yes some of them get extra ear dirt, some more then others. Also dry ears. I don’t think it’s gross nit to wear gloves. Gloves would definitely hinder this process. I don’t wear them either..great video..🐾💜🐾
I have just learned so much from you and Scotty. Thank you for all you do. My kingdom for a teleporter so I could come from Toronto every day and clean cages and feed Criticare. I want to help save them all!
Aww she looks like my Late Nugget girl! Except She was a brighter orange and had some white on her head and neck. She had this same thing, Also a Teddy. I never knew they were prone to that! She had flaky skin as well. My Mom said that it looked fungal too, interesting enough. She might’ve been on to something! We had to give her ear drops from the vet, and massage. It helped break that up, helped her feel so much better. Having ear issues like myself, I felt so bad for her. I worry It was my doing with the ear stuff. I sure hope not. My Family and I loved that sweet Angel, such a big beautiful piggy. She was so so good with my younger siblings, I miss her. She had to be put to sleep a few days before Christmas in 2020, one of the hardest days of my life. Miss You, Sweet Nugget! I Hope this sweet little piggy feels better very soon, looks like you’re already helping her! You all do so much for these beautiful little angels, it touches my heart and soul. Lots of Love to everyone and their precious piggies! ❤️
Don't be too hard on yourself. I have watched enough of your videos to see that you are a good guinea pig mommy. You do the best you can. Remember that guinea pigs are really good at hiding sickness, when they're not feeling well.💕
Awe, what a good piggie girl! She is super sweet. Saskia, I'm wondering if you've considered using a manicure/pedicure tool kit for getting in those nooks and crannies of a piggie's ear? Might save your nails in the long run 😅
She will be able to hear MUCH better too! Poor Baby! My Teddy looks just like this girl, her name is Peanut! Both my Teddys have great ears Thank Goodness🙏🏼🤞🏻is that owner surrendering that Precious Girl? That Shampoo we all use I cant think of the name at the moment, I would get her bathed poor girl
@@LosAngelesGuineaPigRescue I wondered if it would just help in scooping the outer bit. Regardless, you’re welcome and I love the work you guys are doing for the piggies: 😊
I have two female piggies tulip and daphne they are super sweet sadly I live in a state where it is hard to find Guinea pig vets so if anything happens it’s hard to get help thankfully I finally found a place where I live that can help them but again thankfully they are in good health right now I do not keep them in a cage they have what’s called a c&c cage I’m sure saskia is familiar with that
I prefer just a small drop of a vegetable ear. Personal preference I think. I don't really like the coconut because it is soooo greasy but both products will work.
Please help me out. I have a year and a half year old male guinea pig. I have noticed that he has something stuck between his top 2 teeth. He will not let me touch him when it comes to getting it out. Should I make a vet appointment or does this issue fix itself? Thank u 💓
I have a question, so let's say, for example, an animal was like way too crazy, like you could not get them to hold still to clean their ears like you could do nothing like they were fighting like going crazy, do you ever, like, put them to sleep so that you can help them
She is a cutie I don’t understand why people get animals if they don’t want them. How about not getting any at all. A lot going on with that poor baby. Glad she got rescued!
She’s such a good girl. It’s such a shame teddies have so many problems 😢

Both of mine all of a sudden have teeth issues💔 they both have one missing bottom insicer and crooked tops😥Seeing the Vet Feb 9th🙏🏼🤞🏻

Would a pair of blunt tweezers be better for grabbing onto the crud?
She needed hemastats not her finger nails or tip!!! She has no idea
What a sweet girl she is and such a pretty color. She will feel much better once she gets all her problems fixed.

Keep the teddy ear videos coming. They're my favorite
Thanks for posting this. I have a teddy. At least I think he's a teddy, and this just reminded me to check his ears
Awe, looks just like my Cinnamon who is about 3 years old. I clean her ears because you taught me to do it. Love all your teachings and videos.
Must feel so much better with all that gunk out of her ears x
My son had a female guinea pig that LOVED having her ears cleaned!
Wow! What a sweet and trusting little baby! She did so good.❤

your loving care of these beautiful creatures
I don't know why you don't use tweezers to grab some of that stuff.
What a cutie!

Sweet baby, must have felt so much better after getting all that gunk out of her ears!!
You’re definitely the piggy whisperer.😊
Oh what a sweetheart💜
Is her coat dull from lack of nutrition? Or is it supposed to look like that? Most of the piggies I see have shiny, glossy coats
its an american teddy. they have dry, rough but not too rough and almost "spike" like fur
@@_adriana thank you for explaining. I understand rabbits a lot more
Thanks for sharing this
You are very welcome!!
Their squeaks ❤❤❤
Tweezers, maybe?
Wouldn't it be easier for the guinea pig and the caretaker if someone held her while the other cleans the ears?

Davon gehen die Nägel nicht kaputt
Was she getting her nails cut down as well?
Please tell me her claws were clipped, too
Bro. Gloves or something
T.Y. for saving her. X0
Just wondering why you dig in their ears with nasty stuff in them without gloves?

Thankfully the pig was okay and treated better by new owners.
Try using a quirette ! They work great for this ENT uses them! For cases like this kind similar is kerotosis
Have you ever tried a Jobson Horne curette? It might help with their ear cleanings. 😊
I have not - going to take a look now!
Ok saw it - that tool will not work because we do not go into the ear but only clean the outer parts Thank you for the suggestion through! ♥

Poor little piggy❤
Did you put oil into the rear to loosen the debris? That might have helped with the pain.😮
Why don’t you use a tweeser?
Why are you touching squeezing plucking with no gloves on ????she probably going to have a sore on her face
Is it the same for rex guinea pigs?
yes
No gloves
Wouldn't plastic tweezer help get that out?
Good job on the ears . I hope the nails get help because I don’t know how she walks right with her nails being so long.
I am wondering if you aren’t pushing the earwax/keratin more against the eardrum. Too bad you don’t have a jobson horn to scoop out the infection.
Why not use tweezers???
Why don’t you give the oil a few hours to soften up the skin so it will come off without hurting him? 😢
my guniea pig past oway this morning i dont knoaw if it was natural but i hope hes ok
I’m so sorry
We have been using coconut oil to clean their ears and feet. Is olive oil better, or should we keep using coconut oil?
Thank you
I prefer just a small drop of a vegetable ear. Personal preference I think. I don't really like the coconut because it is soooo greasy but both products will work.
Wonderful

I'd book a vet appointment, especially if it's effecting his eating. It's better to be on the safe side.

Should the front claws be curling back on themselves ?
Hilly cow those nails! What a well behaved girl
All very interesting and informative, but why didn’t you were gloves from the beginning on? 🤢
Great job wonderful
So their ear canals and ear drums don’t hurt like ours?

One of my teddies actually had food allergies and that contributed to flaky, itchy skin
Even though you did a good job why no use tweezers so that you're not using something so wide that adds extra pressure....
Teddy Nugget is absolutely stunning ❤️❤️ I just want to cuddle her 🥰🤩
I have a question, so let's say, for example, an animal was like way too crazy, like you could not get them to hold still to clean their ears like you could do nothing like they were fighting like going crazy, do you ever, like, put them to sleep so that you can help them
why are her toenails so long though?
Omg! Go get the tweezers! 😁✌️
No gloves for this? Okay.
“Oh what a GOOD GIRL!!”
2 seconds later: pisses all over lady and the table
That looks like a combination of dirt and body sweat similar to that found on horses.
Is this mites? Why do you not wear gloves?
Cute little girl
This is really gross that you would use your fingernails to remove the ear wax? Do you use gloves?🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
feels weird or pain?
She is a cutie I don’t understand why people get animals if they don’t want them. How about not getting any at all. I know the lady is doing a good thing helping them but she needed to wash her hands after cleaning up the pee. I don’t think it is very sanitary to clean an area that she says is fungal
Is it a fungal infection?
No it was not
Cudos to her! But.. no gloves? No tweezers?! 😰
