That's not earwax, it's ear mites. You are hurting the poor little thing. A couple of drops of baby oil would have done more to help him than all your digging in his ears.. He's too little for such rough treatment. He has to go to the vet to get rid of the mites. You are so lucky to have such a cute and sweet little kitten.

What did you end up using for the ear mites? I am fostering two kittens and they both have a terrible case of ear mites. The vet has prescribed Advantage Multi and it seems to be providing some relief just a few hours after applying the medicine. SO much easier than putting drops in the ears everyday as I’ve had to do in the past.

Please dont his ears with ear buds hes too young. You need to go to the vets to get checked out and the vet will give you the appropriate treatment. Dont buy sime shit from the shops for such a young kitten its bad. You dont know whats in it.

Gosh you made that look like pulling teeth! Poor little thing must be traumatised. All you had to do is lay him in your lap where it’s at an easier angle to get to his head and ears and gently ease out the dirt with the Q-Tip - obviously not digging too deep. A bit of oil on the swab too would have helped. Then wipe over the outer ear with a wet wipe. 🙄
