Something similar might happen in the FairyTail 100years Manga with Happy and Carla. SPOILER: There 2 new FEMALE Exceed “love interests” For Happy. The 1st one we see is “Touka”, who actively admits her undying love for Happy, LETTING her INTEREST BE KNOWN to him OUTRIGHT. The 2nd is “Misfortune” that just debuted in a few chapters ago recently (161). I’m pretty sure at some point they and Carla are going to be in the same room with Happy, OR Carla is going to hear about them from the other party members and she going realize : Oh $h!t…. Here I am with my Tsundere BS and NOW “my man” has OPTIONS that AREN’T ME!!! I am no longer the ONLY compatible female of our species at his side now. Now it’s no longer “Me OR the others living out in the woods, out in god(s) know where”. I am no longer his closest, most logical/available option. Wait… what if MORE decide to come here from the previously mentioned Woods? Should I cease my “Tsundere BS” before they “steal him away from me?”. Edit: My favorite part/reason for thinking this, was Happy’s reaction after Touka’s “confession”, his attitude/vibe towards the situation was “Sweet! Alright! Let’s do this”, and when Natsu (of all people) said “What about Carla?”, Happy’s LITERAL RESPONSE to Natsu’s question was: “Who?”
@@ImBadATMm kinda cliche. We can also already see Fern's jealous side whenever Frieren is involved. It would get kinda repetative if same happened with Stark.
Most of her pouting happens because she already considers Stark as her boyfriend but Stark doesn't notice anything and just goes 'oh that cloud looks awesome!'
At the same time, the entire cast is named after words in german, and fern is a German word (it means "far" or "distant") and Faerun isn't, so it's probably supposed to be Fern to match every single other character in the show.

Totally get where you're coming from. I find it really endearing tho! Keeps her from being a one-note character- like yeah, she's the most responsible in the group, but she can still be a big baby sometimes. I love it when writers give their characters that flexibility.
@@lurkybird I do agree on that, I do think Fern's childish moments can still work effectively, so I hope that the next season will give her some character development, because to be honest, she doesn't really have any. Frieren's character development is her slowly learning about humanity from the perspective of a basically immortal elf, and Stark's character development is being a courageous, yet "cowardly" hero. Right now, Fern doesn't really have anything going for her in terms of that, so I hope her character gets expanded
