Congratulations! Not haters, just cautious and practical realists! I hope it runs a million miles for you.
Thank you!
Jimmy is happier than a man on Maury finding out he is NOT the father!!!!!! Haha
Rofl
Sharp truck turbo v6, better choice than the 4cyl for sure.
You think that wedge is to deflect the wheel from smoking the frame and rocker?
That’s a beautiful truck. I love my Tundra and my son loves his also. They are awesome trucks. Congratulations my friend.
Thanks Spanky, the truck is awesome, my son liked it so much he bought one in Lunar Rock with the TRD off-road Platinum version. So nice on the road!
Beautiful!!!!! Congratulations
Thank you! Cheers!
So happy for you Jimmy it’s a gorgeous truck and now two of my favorite real mechanics have both bought Tundra trucks this week. I’m sure you and the car care nut are going to have great experiences with your Toyota.
Right on! Thanks very much! It is a great truck on the road for sure! We will make some videos as it goes. :)
Beautiful Color..Congratulations!
Thank you Jim!
She is a beauty 🤩
Thank you!
Awesome Truck...enjoy it. I also just purchased a 2024 Limited...have 1200 miles on it....Love it!
Right on! Loving it so far!
What kind of mpg are you getting?
Very sharp new ride Jimmy! You make me want to go out and buy a new ride. I’m looking at Mercedes G-Wagons now that prices are dropping. Enjoy it!
Thanks Rick! Those are awesome trucks for sure, but out of my budget, haha.
I agree. Red is my to go color. I currently have a 2021 Ridgeline in red and trading it for a red tundra in the near future.
Nice! The ridgeline is a great truck too, just lighter duty. My dad has one in black. A 2018.
Loving this truck, at 1600 miles now!
@JimmyMakingitwork Ridgelines are a great truck, for sure. For long distance and comfort, the ridgeline tops the tacoma. The tundra will be better for a camper and hauling.
BIG MISTAKE KEEP THE RIDGELINE
Looks Great! I love the blacked out look!
Thank you!!
Happy for you, enjoy.
Thank you, I will my friend!
Congratulations on your new truck, enjoy!
Thank you!
Congratulations Jimmy! Sweet truck!
Thanks 👍 Marty!
I just got one too love it. Mine came with a step, but mines a 1794 but beautiful red.
That sounds awesome! Enjoy it!
Great truck Jimmy, you deserve it ,nothing like a new motor to make you smile, and that truck has you beaming.
Thanks Brian!
Nothing like a new truck with sand qnd machining debris in the oil circuit.
That part under your wheel well is basically a bumper for your wheel. So if you ever wreck, your wheel doesn’t end up in your cab by your legs
Thanks
That's an awesome truck. I've got a 23 SR5. Enjoy the truck.
Yeah, loving it! Thank you!
Hi Jimmy, Grats🎉 on the new truck looks great. I wish you the best and the truck serves you well. GodBless
Thanks so much Eddie! Be blessed! 👍
Beautiful truck. Enjoy it man!
Thanks 👍
I just bought a 24 tundra crew max 3inch lift. It rips.
Awesome! great trucks!
I like the colour. And the black out definitely compliments it. I’m not much for Toyota styling. My friend bought a new Tundra. And has had tons of issues with it. I hope you have better luck.
Yeah, this one was ordered for me with the options and colors I wanted.
I know lots of people with them and haven’t seen any major Issues with theirs. We will see.
Thanks.
Very nice set up it’s beautiful
Enjoy the ride Jimmy
Keep them videos coming
Thanks 👍 appreciate it My friend!
That's one sharp looking truck Jimmy! I love the color and the blacked out trim.
Thank you my friend. Mike ordered it for me with my list of preferred options. Red being number 1. :)
Jimmy, the Car Care Nut talks about the 2024 Tundra and debris in some oil passages to the bearings. He explains in detail this Toyota acknowledged problem. You might want to watch his latest video on the matter. That truck smells new right through my screen. Beautiful!
Yeah, I saw that video and subscribe to his channel also. :)
Thanks Randy! My son bought one too and it arrived yesterday.
Very nice Tundra, Congrats.. I like the pin striping on the sides, it adds a nice touch.
Thanks 👍
*Congratulations, don't worry about the engine Toyota won't let you down* ❤
That’s what I’m thinking! Willing to take the risk now that they are discounting them again. :)
@@JimmyMakingitworkits just a lease. So hopefully by the time the engine is a paperweight the lease is up
Should’ve gave it atleast another year or two because they’re going to recall majority of them this upcoming month.
😂😂😂
@@mosthated8190 Do you have insider information? Do you share how you know please or at least on your claim I hope it’s not without documentation
Congrats! Nice looking truck. You will like it.
Thank you, just about 2,000 miles now and it's been great!
The bump stop looking things in the wheel wells up front are crash protectors to keep or help keep the tires/wheels from coming in the passenger compartment.
Awesome, thank you Nathan!
Buyers gonna Buy... thats exactly the problem. cant help yourselves
Just like Comments, thanks for watching!
Rowing quick payed off. Good luck 👍 👍
Thank you Peter, working 7 days a week does help! :)
very nice truck Jimmy! thanks for showing it to us!
Thanks Kathy!
Ha, you just couldn't wait!!! Awesome truck, Congrats!
Once Mike told me they could get me a deal better than the new Tacoma, I said let's do it! OF course in a few months they'll have deals on the Tacoma probably too.
Man I’ve been thinking about this same thing. I love the new tundras. People just love to hate everything.
Yeah, I love this truck so far. My son drove it and went to the same dealer and bought one too, delivered yesterday. His is higher optioned and we'll do some videos about them both soon.
@@JimmyMakingitwork nice! Any good deals?
She’s a beauty!! You sure have earned it..
Appreciate that!
Most of the time it will happen when you start the truck when it’s on an incline. On the Tundra forum guys have figured out a sequence of button pushes while turning truck on/off works pretty good for reset.
Thanks for watching.
That part you’re pointing at is for your safety. When you crash the tires won’t go in the cabin.
Thanks!
I hope you enjoy your new pickup!
Thanks James!
Sweet truck, Jimmy!!! Congrats, brother!
Thanks 👍 Jeff!
Congrats. Mine is almost 6 months old. Two pieces of advice:
1). Put a Cat shield on, immediately
2). Replace the whimpy skid plate with an RCI skid plate.
Ok thanks very much.
I have a 24 SR5 TRD sport, which is pretty much loaded. I really like the truck. HOWEVER, I have a very bad vibration at highway speeds under acceleration. 3xs to the dealer. They replaced the rear diif according to my paperwork, but I found zero evidence that a single bolt was removed. The dealer said Toyota will not do anything with it. The vibration can be felt on the floors and through the gas pedal as well as being heard through the truck. The dealers heard it, but so far have they been of no help. I hope you have better luck, Toyota is about to get this one back.
Sounds like driveshaft related possibly?
Hope they get it sorted.
@JimmyMakingitwork feels like the front, half shafts maybe. I thought drive shaft also, but it is cyclic. It starts, get worse, goes away then comes back. All in the span of 3-5 seconds.
First off..love what you bring to the channel...You are a hard working man and you absolutely deserve it brother..congratulations on your new sweet truck my man and God bless you and your family.
I appreciate that my friend!
I can’t help it, those horns on the frame behind the front wheels is where the tow truck grabs it. Lol
lol
Congratulations on your new ride Jimmy ... that screen is big enough that the guy following you can watch the movie with you ROFL
Haha, thanks Theo! Have to check out a live stream soon! So dang busy.
Good for you! Hope you got a heck of a deal, because my local Toyota dealership is full of these things. Even their rear overflow lot is full of these things. The new Tacomas are starting to pile up also. Don't worry, Silverados, Rams and F150s are also piling up at every dealership. It's not the product, it's the ridiculous prices.
Yes the economy is slowing down, a lot. Interest rates and production increases did not help. They’ll adjust for it soon to stabilize the market, if it isn’t too late.
I see Dodge, GM and Ford dealers jam packed, every car lot recently.
Nice truck!
Thanks 👍
Super nice truck jimmy!
Thanks Chris! 👍
congrats on the nice truck my sister just bought a 2020 tundra 4 door long bed 5.7 liter 4x4 with 30,000 miles red also she paid 37k
Nice, they are great trucks too! The only thing anyone can complain about on them is MPG, but great trucks.
Its like what randy5411 says, there seems to be an issue with the engines in them trucks but hopefully you'll have no problems....The very best of good luck and good health to enjoy the new motor....it really is a beauty
Thanks Bertie!
Yep... nice to have sumthin new every now an then ! You only live once !...
That's exactly what I told my wife! haha
We need some new car smell-a-vision.
Also, nice to see an actual key slot to unlock the doors that isn’t hidden.
🎉
Man I love the new car smell for real. Wish there was a way to get it without the payments, lol.
That is one sharp ride
Thanks Neil!
congratulations Jimmy !
Thanks Bob!
Congratulations 🎈 🎊 !!
Toyota Tundra Amazing Truck who cares about those haters !
New generations Tundra is here. .(5.7 v8 old is ready on the pass !! )
Thanks Danny, great driving truck, my son even bought one after driving mine!
Nice truck Jimmy! I love that red color!
Yeah, it really pops for sure! Thanks John!
This Tundra looks like it might actually be easy to work on from underneath. Changing the tranny fluid in my 2014 Sierra is a nightmare. I want this truck even with the engine scare...
Yeah, it has been a great truck for me. 2100 miles now and look forward to many more!
Congrats on the new truck🎉 the red looks really nice! I think leasing is a smart decision now. Pls keep us posted on your feedback. Let’s keep Toyota honest. They can always do better! :) happy for you
Thank you! Will do!
Nice truck. Looks well built and loving the interior
Thanks 👍 It really is the nicest vehicle I’ve ever owned. Second would be when I bought a Silverado in 2007 that was loaded up nicely.
Love that color. Had a '22 with no issues aside from wind noise and cheap interior plastics, but that just seems to be Toyota these days. Had to get rid of it because the 1296lb payload wasn't working for me, but a great truck otherwise.
Thank you. Im lucky not to be carrying very heavy loads. They do have updated weatherstrips and a few other interior items.
But hope you like the replacement truck!
I think that nub in the wheelwell is to prevent the tire from going into the cab in the overlap crash test. I could be wrong, though. That's just what I've heard on the internet.
Great truck! Congrats! :)
Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. Thank you!
I would change the oil every 2-3 K until you get the oil analyzed if you haven’t already.
I did the first at 1500, I’ll do the second at eight 5,000 then every 5,000 after like I’ve done on all my vehicles.
the weird bump in the frame is likely an intrusion support to keep the wheel from pushing through the firewall in the event it takes a hard suspension impact.
Thanks very much, seems like the main consensus on it. :)
Congratulations Jimmy!
Did you try and trade the C10? Toyota would love to get their hands on that and reverse engineer all its' secrets!
Haha, no, my lease was up on the Tacoma and they had better deals on the Tundra right now. Man it's a nice truck. More options than my Tacoma had but not over the top like the Platinum or Capstone.
Congratulations on new tundra I want get one ☝🏼 also sick truck 🛻
Thanks very much!
I’m really jealous that your truck is red
Thank you, I always try for Red as a first choice. I do like the Orange too! My sons is Lunar Rock which is really nice too!
I got a 2023 and have the predator steps too. I got the Smoked Mesquite color but my Nephew has the red. Very nice truck. Did they give you the TRD skid plate with that one? The latest recall is very controversial and it's easy to get sucked into the hype. I think leasing it was a good move but still the recall may be a bit overblown with only actually 850 or so units actually failing. I've had zero problems with mine so far and it is not part of the recall.
Very nice!
I do not have the skid plate, might add it though just for the looks. No hardcore off-roading planned.
Yeah, the internet is filled with people who drive their mom’s mini van spewing stuff they know nothing about.
I have leased a few Toyota Trucks now, they always gain value and it has worked out well. I will see at the end of the lease based on what’s available at that time and also
Any issues if they do happen. Don’t think they will. :)
Nice !!!
Thanks!
Congrats on that new tundra looks beautiful. Would love to know the brand and size of the tires please. I have the same wheels but my tires look different and yours look more aggressive. Thanks
Let me check…
They are Nitto Ridge Grapplers, in 265-60-20.
Not very noisey on the road either, I expected way more noise.
Thanks hope this helps!
@@JimmyMakingitwork you’re the best. Thank you and enjoy that beautiful machine.
Yep. I ain`t skeered either. Mechanic here also. I`m about to order a 2025 Silverado with the 5.3. Famous lifters and all.
Haha, gotta get what you like! The internet makes it sound like any brand they hate is littering the streets broken down.
@@JimmyMakingitwork Yep. Haters gonna...
Good decision, Toyota stands behind there product. Beautiful red
Thanks Ken, truck is awesome on the road so we'll have updates as time goes by.
Loving my 24 limited TRD off road. People blow everything out of proportion. I'm not scared either. If it happens it happens and ill deal with it then. Ive got a 100k mile warranty.
That is an awesome truck. My son has one also, bought it after he drove my truck.
Most of the people making a big deal will never buy any new truck, just like poking around online I think.
That’s a beautiful truck I have a red gmc
Very nice
They are there for offset frontal impact protection!
Thank you.
Jimmy even if you would have got a POS New Chevy or New Ford Truck, we’d still love you
Haha thanks very much my friend!
Wow ! No Gas tank skid plate at all and a PLASTIC FELT one up front ! JUST WOW !
Non trd off road
The SR5’s don’t come with skid plates. Most trucks don’t. In fact 90% don’t.
@@JimmyMakingitwork every Toyota truck/4runner I’ve owned always had steel skids until this 23 tundra. My trd off road has some sort of plastic skid plate up front that doesn’t even cover the front diff. I have a 22 Tacoma trd off road and it still has the steel skids up front (2 of them). I believe the 4th Gen Tacoma still has steel skids as well.
As if that's what truck buyer's look for when purchasing a new truck. Skid plates LMFAO🤣
Nice unit :) considering trading my gladiator in for a tundra
I’m loving it. Just got back from a 1300 mile Road trip! Really nice on the highway and in the rough construction areas. Averaged 20 mpg at 75+ mph. :)
I want to preface this by saying I love my wife's 17 4runner and am in general a Toyota fanboy. But this being a Toyota truck and living in NY those cutouts in the frame looks like a great place to collect salt . . .
Yeah, it could be. I know they are coated inside and out and hopefully it won't be an issue. I know they are the only brand to stand behind rusty frames even though they rust from every single brand. I've replaced a couple and have seen a hundred that should be replaced or scrapped and being in Florida I can't imagine what they are doing in NY nowadays.
Thanks
Wonder if dual exhaust could be added?
Might be able to, but no real need for it. Not like the old days with a V8 that had small pipes on them. They are very well engineered nowadays.
I’m of the same opinion I leased my tundra as well based on the same reasons. Just curious, did you take advantage of the multiple security deposits to lower your money factor.
No, just 1 and money down to be where we wanted on the monthly payment. I started off at invoice for the truck also, since my son in law works at the dealership and put it together for us.
Dang, that truck comes with a flat screen TV! Lol
lol, it is pretty big, but not really too crazy at 14".
Nice toy Congrats!
Thank you 🤗
That Supersonic Red looks great! Especially blacked out.
I think so too! Thanks Erik!
Respect
Thank you!
I actually have enough in my bank account to pay cash for one of these…. My money will stay where it is …
Everyone is on their own journey.
Looks dope, Enjoy. Are those running boards OEM? Also you are correct the Haters will hate this LOL
Thanks Mark, yes they came with the truck. Called Predator steps and they are about the perfect height and width.
Fancy new thang! Can always support Toyota
Yeah, they make a great car and truck both new and older!
The horn behind the front wheels on the frame is to keep the front wheel from entering the front seat, occupant floorboard area.
5:57
Thank you Paul, that's what I was thinking. Appreciate the input.
Really nice truck better than any I owned. If you lease it for 3 years and buy it how much more does it cost than if you bought it in the first place
The lease deals can vary, but you basically pay the depreciation and if you decide to keep it you have first option to buy it for the remaining value. All in the contract when you first lease it. So it costs no extra and the only downside is stretching out the payments over a longer period. But if you have problems and something you prefer comes out three years down the road you can trade in and get equity credit if there is any at that time. But the value won't go below the contracts stated buy out.
Hope that makes sense. I think it's great for someone who usually gets a new vehicle often, doesn't drive lots of miles each year, but not the way to go for someone who keeps a vehicle 10-15 years.
Truck is awesome Jimmy.
Thanks Luis!
No engines on us ground .but congratulations nice truck . Bad bearings on 24 ? only time will say.
We will see, thanks!
Handsome truck I love my
Great truck for sure! :) Thanks
Nice truck Jimmy!
Thanks very much!
ain’t she a beaut clark
Haha, thanks!
NICE!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
That truck is absolutely beautiful but I cant wrap my head around a 2.4 liter four cylinder for such a big vehicle.
The Tacoma has the 4 cyl, the Tundra has a V6. :)
Nice bro
Thanks
My 2024 Tundra Platinum fuel gauge errors. Still not fixed. Was same in my 2022. Toyota says no fix yet. 3 years now. Run out of gas on the highway and see how safe you think you can steer a stalled 65 mph truck to the shoulder. Good luck. Accident waiting to happen. My truck yesterday showed 3/4 tank when I actually have 1/4 tank.
@@GWNHomesteadI agree with you. I do use my odometer since 2022 when I determined the gauges were faulty. But the point is I have worked with Toyota for 3 years and 2 trucks and the engineers still can’t fix this simple system on a $70k truck. Another thing as you know is the lack of communications with HQ Toyota not telling all these owners to go by your suggestion until a fix is in place-why no communications? Just like the failing engines, a stalked vehicle can cause a crash.
Sorry you’re having trouble with that. I have not heard of this issue in the shop yet. Possibly software?
Manage has been very accurate so far on my last three Toyota pickups.
Hope they get it sorted for you. I’d use Trip A for the time being.
@@GWNHomesteadbecause he's likely FOS. Bought two brand new tundras in two years and got nothing good to say about either. He's either a complete air head or a liar lol
Show the oil filter if aren't scared!
I have a lifetime power train warranty and plan to show the first oil change and filter contents to appease the haters. Bwahahahaha(evil laughter)
For being somewhat a mechanic, I can't believe you are using those channel lock sort of pliers backwards loosening the filter unless it's left hand thread which most likely not!
Sometimes it's more about fitting the tool into the area I'm working, especially something like loosening an oil filter. Had to find a way to Make it Work. ;)
The first 10 love rating
HaHa, thanks OB!
