"As the new successor to fragrance Encre Noire by Lalique presented in 2006, the market welcomes ENCRE NOIRE A L'Extreme, an intense masculine edition available since October 2015. With its design, the new edition reminds us of the famous "Encrier" designed by Rene Lalique in 1913, which served for design of the first fragrance Encre Noir and its successors Encre Noire Pour Elle in 2009 and Encre Noire Sport in 2013. The latest edition after moving towards a lighter interpretation and ‘sporty’ version of the original, the accent is now placed on intensive woodsy blend of cypress and vetiver.
Composition of the new fragrance ENCRE NOIRE A L'EXTREME is announced as very masculine, intensive, powerful. The fragrance is available as 50 and 100ml Eau de Parfum. The nose behind this fragrance is Nathalie Lorson"
I blind bought this after some research on the internet, where this review was the tipping point. Today it arrived. The exciting part is always when you "blind" invest your money, into a new fragrance - and when your reward comes in form of a straight punch to your sentral nerval system - it's a rush. Off course it can be disappointing if the expectations don't meet your hopes, but holy mother of God - this was not. I can't stop smelling myself, and for the love of God, I couldn't care less if not another soul in this world likes the scent on me. This is just awesome. If my expectations were a 10 towards this scent, this is 15 . And the best part? I paid 49 dollar for 100 ml. This is like finding gold in a junkyard. What a diamond this is. This is probably one of the best thing I have smelled in my life time after Chanel Pour Monsieur. This is pure heaven in a bottle. I did a blind buy (along with Boss No.1 and Caron L'eau) from FragranceX and the gamble worked for sure.

People say Encre noire is challenging, it is to a certain extent but I can rock it. A l’extreme however is very challenging. Definitely unique, dark, very little if any sweetness, Smokey, woodsy, rubbery, and intriguing. Have so far only used it once, looking to use it more often break in.

Smells Good it is interesting. I get 8 hours, but skin scent by the end. Happy with that though. Cheers.

True. The sport version is the best of the lot IMHO, very versatile and classy. I will review it shortly.
I got it yesterday but not happy though the smell is very good but projection and longevity in normal hot and humid days is very very bad.ONLY for winters.Does the sports version has better longevity or the original lalique encre noire EDT is best and has better longevity and projection.

Joy great review but I notice that most of your videos are 15+mins. Most of us are time poor and if you can make them less than 10mins I think you will get a lot more likes and followers. You are honest and tell it straight but I suggest to be mindful of the video length.

I wipe all fingerprints off my frag bottles with a chamois leather cloth bought for the purpose. You can get one at any auto accessory store and they're really good for making bottles look like new on your shelf. ✨
Thank friend this video. I hesitate a bit to blindbuy Encre noir extreme version, because In my city not place where I can buy it or smell. But I very live the Bulgari Man in Black parfume, and the Bentley too. So I think I be brave and buy Lalique, because your video help me really lot.

I find it very simillar to the dior homme intense even though it doesnt have iris. i can sense that lipsticky feeling on it as well.
I really want to like this one but just can't come around to it. It's far from a crowd-pleaser, and, to me, it's actually a gross scrubber of a fragrance. The incense and dirty vetiver smell like that canned hair spray from the 80's on my skin. It may be classy and natural and all that jazz, but I just get a nasty chemical mess of a smell that stays on my skin for 24 hrs. I find Guerlain's Vetiver is very old man-ish so I'll just stick with TF's Grey Vetiver as my go-to Vetiver scent (too bad L'Occitane's Vetyver is discontinued). I guess I just like the clean, citrus-y vetivers.
I have the encer noir but not the extreme its really good and give me a compliment but some one of my friend don't like it and said to me it's smells like a lemon 🍋!

Hey Joy, I had a question. I am new to the fragrance game. Why doesn't this fragrance perform well during the summer? As per my understanding, winter scents are supposed to be stronger than summer scents right?
its the make up, you could use it during Summer, woody fragrances are more suited for colder months, where a fresh Citrus twist that's more suited for Summer

I own and love them both. Encre Noir is easyer to wear. Bentley is boozy and stands out more imho. Hard to choose one...

I think that Extreme is better choice.EN Sport is much more like EN original,but citrusy.Extreme is much more clasy,great performance by far.I love it,for me best of trio.Cheers

i generally like your reviews, but this was some bullshit. You say nothing synthetic or cheap about it, but there most definitely is. I detected a very annoying synthetic note that pierces my brain upon smelling from close distance. Its headache inducing and slightly nauseating. One can possibly not detect it from a few feet away, but its a huge turnoff even though doesnt particularly smell of anything. Maybe its cheap ingredients, thats why the frag is so cheap. I prefer Tom Ford.
