I fell in love with Dark Rebel the second I smelled it. Still at the top of my personal favorites. Never received a compliment and women don't like it but I love wearing it.
I wear it for myself but I get compliments... from older ladies.

I love it too, however it just doesn't have great performance for me. How long does it last for you?
@@SamuelDiaz21 I get 4-5 hours on skin, but lasts days on my cloths. My woman always reminds me, "Your shirt stinks like that cigar cologne." I take it as a compliment.
@@kenwhite5425 on skin, if I get 2 hours at most I'm lucky. For some reason it just doesn't work that well on my skin, but on clothes yeah it can last for days. I don't regret buying it though, it's such a great masculine fragrance.

I think lalique in generel make frag. that smell very expensive. I also find lalique l'insoumis smell more expensive than it is.

Hanae Mori HM and HiM parfum are both SO amazing for the price. Both smell amazing and high quality...better than many more expensive fragrances. Real bargains.

You are so right on everything you say here. Lalique is a great choice as your number one. Caron reminds me my father and Cartier, I used to work for the company. It reminds me of work and my suits that would come home smelling of that fragrance since it came out at that time.

Ditto on Dark Rebel. The scent itself is one of my favorite, but the mediocre performance has me reaching for something else every time I consider wearing it. It has a castoreum note for Obi-Wan’s sake...
Oh well. Will probably wear it tonight.

Declaration D'Un Soir is a very unique fragrance, IMO. One of my faves.
I just blind brought Hanae Mori HIM EDP, this was after looking at Tons of reviews on UA-cam and Fragrantica. As soon as I sprayed it I KNEW I was going to like it, BUT.....It honestly gets better and better, within minutes I loved it! Just smells quality, I don't know about Gucci Pour Homme II, never put my nose on it, To my nose, it's a bit similar to the wonderful Spicebomb but more like another favorite of mine, Azzaro Wanted By Night, so far it's only been tested on my wrist, I then sat at a table and was drinking from a glass, it was wafting up at me even after my hand was resting on the table. I told my Son to take a sniff and he loved it, it's getting slightly more powdery after the Two-hour mark but just incredible, smells very expensive, a keep that's for sure, and so cheap!!! Buy it Guys, you won't go wrong!
I use HiM edp as a car scent 🤷🏿... I would like to see a top 5 "love at 1st scent" or Wow factor fragrance 😵💫

Declaration is one of my favorite scents and I choose it over ultime
Should’ve added Ed Hardy’s villain. That stuff smells exactly like D&G The One. And imho it performs better than the D&G. Longevity is better and projection is better. It can be picked up on fragrancenet for like $18.

I bought Encre Noire last year on your recommendation and do not regret. $25 US and it smells on par with my more expensive frags. I like it more than my Versace Eros. Almost like it as much as Prada Luna Rossa Black, but I just ran out of that so this will be my main spray.

I'll have to try a couple of those. Dark Rebel to me doesn't smell animallica or stinky. Just comes off really sweet to me then smells like a brand new leather jacket about 10 minutes in. By the way your mustache is spilling over on one side lol
I have dark rebel its my 2nd day and I enjoying it i think its projects up to 2 hrs and became skin scent until 5 or 6hrs

oh my goodness, hanae mori! It was the first fragrance ever I made research about when i was like 18 or so.. the first steps with scents haha, totally forgot about that one! I remember i watched reviews on that one, back in the days. Thanks for reminding me and bringing the memories back - I never tried that fragrance though, I will try it now :-)

I don't find the opening of Hanae Mori Him smells cheap at all. Smells a lot better than many very expensive fragrances off the top.

Encre Noir à l'Extrème from Lalique is a masterpiece if you ask me. Even more sophisticated than the original, but surely just as impressive. Almost disgraceful it's at bargain prices.

for Spring/Summer, Guerlain Homme is great. I think my 100ml was about 39€. It's simple, but the quality seems really high, it's so smooth

Cartier has amazing scents. Roadster is another that comes across as being worth more than I actually paid for.

The original Encre noir is brilliant. Fantastic high quality juice, unique and long lasting.
Plan to check out Encre Noire. My favorite house is JV. For that reason I did a blind buy on dark rebel rider. I didn’t like it. Is dark rebel similar? I’ve been on the fence about doing a blind buy because of my experience with DRR.

Notes: Mandarin, Nutmeg, Cardamom, Amber and Woody Notes. Not groundbreaking, but office-friendly performance. *Unbeatable price of 1,99€/50 ml!!! Synthetic, but pleasant ingredients quality. Bought a backup bottle, LOL!* ☕😂👌

Video idea: JV dark rebel vs JV dark rebel rider. I've searched UA-cam for a video discussing the similarities and differences of these two fragrances and found NO ONE has done this yet.
They don't smell the same btw. Both so worth buying. Gorgeous rich scents.
Maybe I got a bad batch or something but DR Rider gives me nothing except sharp leather. None of the beautiful complexity that Dark Rebel exudes off my skin. I disagree with fragrantica in that I don't find them similar at all

Lalique aren't inexpensive on Notino France, very pricey €€€€! Edit; Cartier is not a cheap brand either.

No Cartier isn't a cheap brand but you can get their fragrances at excellent prices if you know where to look. Notino is great.
@@NM-ev7pu Yeah enjoy, on Notino France it's 93 euros and A l'Extreme is 111.88! They're nuts. They changed their Lalique pricing last year which is why I boycott them completely now.
@@TrephineArtist file complaint to european instances. There's an online dispute system. It is forbidden to discriminate on price. I'm going to do it in September as In studying abroad now but all their fragrances are like sent out from Romanian depot or somewhere in eastern Europe...
That said, lalique fragrances in regular perfume stores are indeed very high priced.

I picked up 4.2 oz tester bottles of dark rebel & dark rebel rider @ an Elizabeth Arden outlet store in San Marcos, Tx for around ten dollars a piece. They are solid fragrances and for the price I paid I spray it on myself just being at home out of principle because I don’t regularly get much use out of them due to the hot weather in Tx.
To my nose Encre noire al extream has a green lettuce, gun powder smell..not pleasant, its not for me

I really like John Varvatos Vintage but after testing two or three times I decided it’s not for me. Granted this was at the very beginning of my fragrances adventure.
I almost never disagree with Ashton but I own Him and D'un Soir and I'm not sure what hes talking about here. Him is gross and smells very cheap on the open and only slightly better later on. He only likes it because the scent is original. D'un Soir smells very expensive and classy on the open, but the drydown after 30 minutes is very synthetic and that's when you understand the price. Now, I don't have Dark Rebel, but I have Dark Rebel Rider and I love it and I think it does smell expensive throughout. But the other two - be wary of the purchase. I think this particular video was just him pumping out content.

The Encre Noire/Encre Noire A L Extreme are BY far the 2 worst smelling parfumes I have ever smelled. They remind of graveyards and dead crows. -1/10

Problem with virtual world you can't smell it... Original Encre Noire is easy win , only weaknesses has you're nose will fall to boring smell it, but other people never do.

Years ago I had a sample of Hanae Mori Him EDT that I liked and used up. So I decided I wanted to get a bottle, and I read a bunch of reviews and decided on Hanae Mori Him EDP. It was described as "richer" and "creamier" than the EDT. Now years later I decided I wanted to get a bottle of Hanae Mori Him EDT as well since it was still inexpensive, and I wanted to get it while it's still available. In my opinion, the EDP has a sweet, syrupy thickness to it, while the EDT is more transparent in a way. And because of this, out of the two versions of Hanae Mori Him, I think the EDT is the most similar to Gucci Pour Homme II (which I also have a bottle of). I hope this helps!
