Like I said in six's poll post the PC is a crutch and borderline cheating it shouldn't be on a list at all it's just simply too strong. Don't get me wrong I love the PC and carry one on all vault hunters but I barely use it because it's just not fair.
@@elishuster5943 at least the norfleet is a rocket launcher. launchers are expected to be really powerful per shot, and they're (supposed to be) balanced by the rarity of launcher ammo. in order to break the norfleet in bl2, you needed some way to bypass the ammo restriction. as it happens, the sham made that pretty straightforward, but you needed two legendaries to pull that off. it's still silly and should have been nerfed (which IIRC it was in the UCP), but doesn't really compare to the plasma coil which is broken all by itself with any parts, which you can get with minimal effort, and which uses the most ridiculously giant ammo pool in the game.

If they implemented a gear part changing system in BL4, that would be awesome. Allow use of the special currency like eridium, moonstones, or whatever to swap out a part on a gun with doubling or exponentially increasing cost per part you switch out on a single piece of gear (1st part on that specific item costs 100, 2nd part you switch out on that same item costs 200, etc) and possibly require the gun to gain “experience” via kills or use before it’s able to have a part switched. Or you could simplify it and make it cost a flat amount to change a specific part you choose to a random, different one. You could also allow players to spend an increased amount to choose 1 or 2 specific parts they want, but it permanently “locks” the weapon to prevent any further part adjustments

In the Ven Diagram of "Usefulness" & "Ease of Obtaining", for the longest time my number one would've been a tie between the BL1 Hellfire & the Bad Touch from BL2. BUT, then I saw K6 take a level 13-ish Plasma Coil through the majority of BL3 and that was that.
In my opinion the Norfleet wins because Borderlands 2 only has a handful of weapons that are on that godly level (I might argue that the pimpernel could be up there) on the other hand Bl3 has so many different weapons that you can pick up with any character and demolish everything. Also, the Norfleet can clear your entire screen of enemies due to the insane splash damage of e-tech launchers whereas the p--coil can only hit one enemy at a time.
theres just somethin so nostalgic about maliwan weapons from borderlands 2/pre sequel, like from their looks to their reloads their just so nostalgic to me and idk why
I am so happy I got the grog in that event where it was a permanent weapon drop ....so I never had to worry about it disappearing from me if I ever turned in the mission and yes I did farm like 3 perfect versions, 1 for melee, one x2 variant and 1 normal
Always loved Maliwan weapons, specifically the good old Hellfire! Didn't like what they did with the Maliwan guns in Borderlands 3 though, with the charge up guns.
I don't like the charge time either, but I do really appreciate the things Gearbox did in BL3 to make each manufacturer feel even more special and unique compared to each other than what we got in BL2 (which was great too). The charge up is annoying, but honestly it's a perfectly reasonable balance feature for this class of gun where each one gets 2 elements to choose from, and honestly still has a quicker time to kill than most other options.
at least that gave them an identity. In BL2 Maliwan guns apart from broken ones felt underwhelming. They were always elemental and had better DoTs but that's about it.
Don't forget the Firehawk pistol in BL1. Had a x4 fire damage on the card, but was actually x6. It melted everything!!! Roll that a defiler, hellfire, and ogre or S&S sniper (orion), amazing.
The embers purge is my favorite Maliwan gun easily. It’s just too fun. Especially with consec hits because the dot damage stacks fast. It also shows up in the diamond loot room for those that didn’t get it in M11.
My personal favorite sniper in BL3 is the Firestorm. I know it's not ideal for most situations but with Moze it's a satisfying and fun weapon to lay down a carpet of mass destruction. In fact I rarely use it as a sniper, i just paint the ground with a whole mag around a group of enemies and watch the red must fly as I reload. Sure there are more efficient ways, but few as fun.
