From the beginning right to the end it was pure entertainment
The hot rod going down the ski slop going 89 mph
The moment James May just hit a barrier despite having the smallest car out of the three was the start of another normal trip from the three idiots

That was sound dubbing I think on that little crosley
I can't imagine the suffering and anguish May had to endure in that Crosley. The noise and rattling must've been unbearable. Not to mention the high likelihood of the thing actually toppling over on its side each time a lorry/18 wheeler flew past.
And to drive it for 600 miles at a time? Godspeed Captain Slow.

My late father used to rave about Crosleys, especially the Farm-O-Road. Watching this, my '79 "base-model" Chevette w/4-spd & 2-bbl carb seems like a highway-flyin' muscle car. 😊

I wish for once they would give James an appropriate vehicle. Every trip it feels like the producers are punishing him.
It's his choice - they give them the budget, it is up to the three to decide on the cars they buy. That has been the case since the early days of Top Gear

It has to be the worst car any of the trio has ever picked. I think this is the only time one of them used the support car by choice!

The Crosley is to awful that it ruined a trip filled with historical sights for May. That's quite a car.
Its essentially an appliance, like the Tesla cars
I liked the show, but leaving May behind every single time he caught up was really disappointing and uninteresting, I feel like the episode was more about showing the cars of the challenge and leaving May behind, rather than them being a trio and taking on a challenge and competing against one another.
May sometimes left them behind so its a win win, this time James went further by harassing the other 2 cars

Apparently, you're not a fan of the Grand Tour or the show that came before it. If you were, you'd be well aware of what Mr. May's nickname on the former show was. He was Captain Slow.

Spontaneous scenes scripted to the last second.
the fake crosby buzzing sound almost like a muted nitro RC car was extremely annoying. cringe part is when they need to use the real motor sound when hes having "engine trouble" which im sure is scripted as well. and most of the time it doesnt even look like hes going the claimed 38mph. this show used to be more natural and funny. now it just seems super scripted. some funny moments, though like when James crashed into the checkpoint barrier. that wasnt scripted just bad driving.

I wasn’t impressed with this episode. I like Clarkson and chums but this is a tired format now. Boring in the extreme. Same silly boy gags same school boy tricks.

It's getting repetitive, I don't believe for a second they chose those cars themselves and what James supposedly did to the others cars in 1 night by himself is impossible
@@StevenQ74 yep, we've always known it was contrived nonsense, but it's always fun, this just seemed recycled top gear skits with a dash of Last of the summer wine.
This was a great show, but when Clarkson's boorishness became the theme of the series, I checked out.
Its time the stop this they are too old now. All the same joke and not funny. The lochdown was ok and the one about french cars. This one a totall miss.
Probably the worst one they have done imo, boring and not funny in the slightest....

@@WarTornPH He may have overstated it, but it wasn't their best by a long shot. I felt like James wasn't up for it, and the show without all three on board just doesn't really work
Personally I didn't laugh once. It's lost it's spark. Childish and immature in places, Mays pranks that would take a coup0le of days, done overnight to three cars.
