Datsun 1600 FJ20 Turbo 510

David Northey has been part of GrassRoots Garage from the beginning. His Beautiful Datsun 1600 might look the same, but a lot has happened.
David's welcoming nature is the main reason the Datsun Outlaws series has been such a success and has grown to see so many quick, tough and show-stopping Datsuns turn up each meet!
We discuss the sad passing of an amazing man, David's Dad Bob Northey. A knowledgeable and entertaining man that i (Pete) was honoured to have met and spent time hearing some of the epic stories of his adventures in sidecar building and racing.

Love the 1600s. Back in about 1997 a 1600 or Gemini was the ultimate 1st car. there was at least 10 1600's in our group of mates back then, rolling around castle hill, kellyville etc. Those where the days man great video cheers.

Nice car.good package 10 points.i hade a fj20 s11 RS Silvia. Put fj & drive line in a sunny everything bolted up as they hade same floor plan. Just shortened drive shaft.that was 99.i plan to do it again but with sr.and harder to find parts...keep up the content

510’s are American but also were available as a 4 door. Like our common Datsun 1600 4 door in Australia
